Since there's a lot of comments already talking abt the police's ineptitude I wanna focus on something else. Caleb had a more than commendable attitude and handled the situation better than a lot of us. He followed instructions, stayed calm and respectful, and accepted the apology with grace. I'm surprised they even gave an apology but glad that they did more than most ppl get.
What's truly scary about this is had that idiot robber stayed hidden this kid would prob still be in court fighting to prove his innocence, and might even have to do it from in jail
Cops will grab anyone just to say they have someone in custody. My coworker left the job site to get lunch, but never returned. We couldn’t get in touch with him, so we called the supervisor who eventually found him. The cops grabbed him off the street claiming he fit the description of a suspect. The suspect was a white male with a buzzcut, wearing a red hoodie and cargo shorts. My coworker was a black male with brown overalls and a blue hoodie. I can’t see how they made that mistake.
Crazy they just start running backgrounds in the area looking for someone with criminal history …. Dude didn’t even have dreds but they still kept him locked up
Massive respect to the people living in those houses, the officers were searching their houses for those people at early morning . Just imagine trying to sleep during that.
😂😂😂 she said "you look exactly like the suspect" funniest thing I've heard this year because they look ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ALIKE. He needs to sue and qualify immunity should be abolished.
We have been gifted a perfect police cam RUclips channel. Edits out All the bs gets all the shots tells the whole story and then let’s us continue on with our day. Thank you sir for your noble service!
Didn’t know prior history could be used against someone in this way. “Shocker”. Seems more than a little ridiculous that they can lose a suspect and just start doing that and pick one at random
This young man’s manners after what they put him threw was outstanding. Can u imagine being woken up out of a dead sleep arrested shoved in the back of a cop car stuck in there for an hour plus while no one talks to you or tells you anything about why your arrested

Imagine what they would have done to Caleb had they not found the real suspect. They would have thrown the book at that kid and ruined his future.

I understand why people don’t want to provide ID when they have done nothing wrong because cops will use your past to assume you’re guilty.
those kids look nothing alike.
I hope that this innocent guy gets a good lawyer and Sue's the police department for unlawful and lengthy detainment

Unless you are blind they look nothing alike. And having a record and live near do not give them probable cause. I hope this man gets a good lawyer.
I’m partially deaf. I just wanted to say thank you for the impeccable closed captioning. Especially of the “rattling chains” sounds

she told him he look like the suspect. Damn her eye sight must be bad
I genuinely teared up when they came back to apologize and he was so polite to them. I feel terrible for him. This shit needs to stop.

Surprised they didn't make up evidence to convict this kid
Such BS that they can do background searches on citizens and just call them out to be detained or arrested simply for what they look like.
Bro ran from the police, changed his hair, clothes and skin color and got a full nights rest in just a few min. Amazing.
