Battlefield has used the same engine for the last 5 games. Battlefield 4 has been out for 2 years. They just recently removed head glitching by adjusting bullet collisions. I can't stand when people just say "well it's built in, it's an old engine". No, it's a engine modified specially for the game. And they can change whatever they want by changing the code.
Yeah lol, love bo3 but Dice know what their doing, very few but there still is a few head glitches, I've noticed on dragon valley. Still bf4 is better with bullets coming from the gun and not ur eyes. I FIRE LASERS OUT OF MY EYES in bo3, hey that's a good specialist idea?!?!
James Goddard Battlefield 4 didn't have that change until 2-3 months ago. After the game had been out for 2 years. After the game had such game breaking bugs and glitches that it took a separate DICE team 2 years to fix and after the stocks plummeted because of the flop the game was. So what was that about DICE knows what they're doing?

A gun i would like to add to the list of weapons that can effectively deal with headglitches is the ICR.
It has very little recoil and with grip it becomes basicly a laser.
Been subbed for a long time but .... Hot Damn do you deserve to be bigger than you are ! You are among the best out there doing this sort of thing and you deserve way more subscribers ... one day man, one day.

+thebesttheworst thanks man I usually work my ass off to flank head glitchers but, sometimes you find their team mates camping or patrolling the flanks. Dredge is a beast on Nuke town during domination B flag head glicthes.
+Dark Side Yeah I know what you mean. So many people use those things it's ridiculous. I always get melted by those guns. My best counter for those is the KRM or other shotguns (the semi-auto isn't too bad). What I like to do is use overkill and have two primaries: Shotgun/Sniper Rifle (you choose the order of them depending on attachments and class setup). You can kill those guys at long range sometimes and when they rush you, you stand more of a chance. :D

I havent really had to deal much with head glitchers nor had a reason to really rock the thermite, up until recently when more people got the game. You've given more some interesting ideas.

Oh, and one anti-head-glitching tactic that I've used in past Call of Duty titles (especially in Black Ops 2) is using smoke in conjunction with a thermal equipped LMG. I've had great success with that. Keep up the good work, and I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos.

Because of the fast paced combat of Black ops 3, I've never found too many campers or head glitchers, but still, this video helped.
In reality, when you aim down the sights of a real gun... the bullets leave the barrel of the gun from about nose level of your head.
While frustrating to deal with in game, its not really a "glitch" when compared to real life. Actually, the true glitch happens when hip firing and instead of the bullets traveling from the hip to the target, they still travel from head to target.
+codean909 In reality, you're also going to have the bore axis at least somewhat aligned with your shoulder as well. You're not just going to see the person's head.
Head "glitch" isn't a glitch at all we all know that its just referred to as that

Good video. Did like how you dealt with the smoke screen by jumping up and did a wall run above and around it.
Another helpful thing to use against headglitchers is wallrunning. Wallrunning can essentially be another route in the same place that you can take that can throw people off. Like here on Combine, if someone is sitting on a headglitch on either side of the long lane that's furthest from the cliff, you can use the walls to come at them from less expected places and higher above them, giving you an edge.
Oh, and one other thing: the tips you have on the grenades could be an entirely separate video! What I learned about smoke and thermite was so helpful, and I want more videos like your EMP grenade video.

I agree except for the part about dug-in headglitchers. While these guys may be focused primarily on what's in front, they will also be wary of people coming from behind, so you shouldn't just rush in guns blazing after pulling off a tedious flank. A good idea is to wait until you hear them shooting at someone and then attack, because more than likely they will be listening/checking for anyone coming from behind.

In the past couple days, I've been watching your aim and accuracy drill videos, and since then I've played about two custom matches and have already noticed a huge improvement in my reaction time and accuracy. Smoke + those guns you listed with thermal = headglitcher gone. Or smoke + Gravity Spikes = bye headglitcher and anyone near him/her. It gets even better if you have scavenger because of the refillable lethals/tacticals. Or run tactician with smoke and then stun to rush up and kill that headglitcher. This game has a lot of ways to get rid of headglitchers, but lots of people still continue to go to the same spot where the headglitcher is at and try to challenge them willy nilly. Not a lot of people run thermal, so smoke is a very good thing to have.

This was very helpful and I am ashamed having played COD so long I did not realize these really good ways to counter them.
I'm not sure why its referred to as Glitching since shooters as far back as I can remember had the bullets come from your view perspective and not out of the actual gun itself , What we used to call glitching was taking advantage of game breaking issues like getting out side or under the map or grabbing cover behind stuff that could be shot through only one way, etc.
While I agree with you on the lack of use of smoke grenades in the game overall. In team based games they can become annoying for fellow team mates. If they are not using a thermal scope you make anyone on your team guarding or rushing a lane useless as well as since they can't see what is coming at them.

I haven't watched you before, but I might start now. This was a great video. I really liked that you took the time to go into a private match and actually show different scenarios. Most people will just tell you. They won't show you.
I think another important part about the "glitch" in head glitch is that when you do land shots on an enemy in a head glitch, you occasionally don't get headshots, even though that's the only hitbox you have access to. Happens to me all the time =(

If the cover is like the one you use in your example (behind a vehicle) you can drop to the floor and shoot the legs. 1: the headglitcher could only see your head and shoulders. 2: You can see the glithcer's legs below the vehicle. Pepper those calves.
The lack of toughness has truly made this game more difficult to kill campers
Just an FYI - this is *NOT* head glitching. It is 'bullets come from the camera center that is located in the lower part of the face. Head glitching is if a player sticks his head into a solid object and thereby can shoot through a building etc.

+Neverod8doreveN No but your shoulder will still be in line with the bore axis unless you're holding the rear stock in front of your eye which I wouldn't recommend. If you can see the muzzle, there should be a shoulder behind it.
+TheXclusiveAce The position of your shoulder is besides the point. The point is if your eye level is down looking through the scope/sight your head will only be just above the weapon.
+Neverod8doreveN You're right but if you expect to not shoot the cover in front of you, your enemy will see more than just your eyes and the sight on the gun.
I find that the Smoke & thermal combo does wonders for countering head glitchers.
The ICR-1 would be another good HG destroyer too!

EXTREMELY frustrated but I have mostly decent games and my mostly pedestrian 1.14-1.17 K/D (I started at 1.57 and have consistently dropped over this week... :/.)
Now that I understand what this is and to essentially ready a class for it hopefully I can stop being owned by it. This has gotten pretty crazy over this last week. send like every lobby I'm in there are several ppl "headglitching" and spawn trapping. I also find thermal sights to be quite effective against head glitchers line up the shot much quicker to the itty bit of yellow sticking over cover.

I personally use the thermal sight against defenders that are using those typical camping/headglitching spots. This way I usually have better vision of where they are exactly and my aim is more precise.
the burst sniper is op in my opinion, so good with elo sight at medium range. everyone complains about the delay but i dont notice it
Most headglitchers are very cocky. They think they're in a position where the enemy cant hit them. You don't have to use those weapons. Just burst fire with your weapon it doesn't have to be burst. If they back out that gives you the few seconds to rush them or move to another position.
If your aiming down the sights, your looking from your eye, the bullets go where the reticle is, if it's against your eye (ex. Aiming down the sights) then even if you can't see there gun it is there technically,

Not sure if you've already covered it, but I'd be interested to know what your controller setup is. I keep hearing about bumper jumper and claw but have no idea what the pros and cons are for each with different styles of play. I'm not a rusher, but I consider myself aggresive rather than a defender type. Cheers for the great, clear, detailed vids by the way.

maybe this is different after some patches? but the guns you mentioned for precision are not correct. the XR-2 rarely puts all 3 bullets on target, usually 1 misses a tiny bit, and the 48 Dredge has even more recoil to the point where you can get hit-markers from 2 separate bursts in a row and not get a kill. M8A7 and Sheiva are fantastic as you said, and the Gorgon can be very precise semi-auto. The ICR is also extremely accurate. I find the Dingo, BRM, HVK, and Razerback all very good as well.
flanking a headglitcher is harder than it seems, as most camping players will choose Awareness perk for maximum protection. It is difficult to flank someone without being noticed, since you have to slow down and make less noise when being near to enemies, not to mention a simple UAV can put your flanking work into nothing instantly. Ghosts could help a bit, but walking with Ghosts also generate noise. My strategy to head glitchers is just use Overdrive and rush to the back of their spawn, they can try to hear Ruin's footsteps, but good luck with reacting to them.
Lol I have a no bullshit class if the enemy is using flashes frags c4s although they are nerfed and if they are using head glitches

Uses smokescreen on a headglitcher. Headglitcher happens to have the Gorgon and sprays his whole clip into the smoke, successfully killing me anyways.
reaper with psychosis is really good for rushing them and i use the man o war so smgs will be even more effective, but a good rush with psychosis is almost unstoppable
Just use tempest. The projectile is bigger than a bullet so it's way easyer to kill them. There's usually some of the campers' teammates so you get more kills.

The icr-1 also has pinpoint accuracy for picking headglitchers off.

The most annoying aspect about headglitching is the headshot multiplayer in this game. Shooting someone in the head 3 times should be a kill in any game.

...before even watching this I already know how to counter headglitches: KNOW THE MAP. I never get killed by them. People complaining about this/the game in general dont even care to learn anything to adapt and overcome...hmmm, hence the reason why I carry my team every match I play, lol.

In reality, if the player is aiming down sites, the bullets should be coming from them at head level. You don't see them raising the gun but from their view point, they are.
Here's a fun idea. Take a shot every time he says "headglitch"

You forgot to mention Head Glitchers are practically handing over Diamond skins to you on a silver platter.
Pshcosis might be ok since when you send the clones in they'll most likely be distracted by the clones
Frags and semtexs do a lot to people with flak jacket it makes them one shot so you have an advantage
Battlefield 4 countered this by making the bullets come from further down and from the barrel of the gun.
