I think the machinery sounds are plenty eerie in their way. The Giant is a project with plenty of conspiracies tied to it. Its unsettling to imagine what new wonder weapons are being pumped out behind the scenes. Nazi flying saucers? Die Glocke? Perhaps those giant robots from Origins, and indeed BO3's The Giant? We don't know. All we know is that we can hear the gears of the Third Reich's supernatural war machine turning, and all we can do is survive... And play a game with Samantha.
Honestly, I’ve been looking for years for some of these! Can’t believe they removed the clock ticking in The Giant, the 2009 ambience is just incredible. Thanks for uploading!
I know this map is super old at this point, however that Maxis voice line at 4:04 "link_count_yes_00 has to be a part of an Easter egg that was never discovered. Treyarch confirmed that we haven't found everything in this map yet nor do we know why the the lights/crosses on the teleporter go out whenever you look at them, yet illuminate when not looking at them.

“Object_hit_1” is the same audio used for the main weaponry of the Daleks in Doctor Who. I would recognise that sound effect anywhere. One of the sounds of my childhood. Pretty damn interesting

A couple things I noticed: - all the sounds with "flytrap/shoot..." are the same sounds that the Ray Gun Mark II make when hitting something (classic Treyarch) - Obviously the sfx "cooldown" is the sound at the start of Kino, since they used the Teleporter to get there. Most of the Teleport sfx used through the series seems to all originate right here

Use a file encryption software like Winrar to go into the files if you want to listen to it. If you want to use the files you have to use Greyhound to actually extract it into a WAV file and then use audacity to turn it into the optimal format for something else, like a custom map.

I believe the speaker is supposed to be Schuster. Maxis’ voice is on the radios.

I would love ambience for BO1 maps. These are the definition of making a map scary.
