Just did the coolant change on my 2015 RLT, followed your video. Started ii up,until the fans came, adjusted fluid level as required, I have a check engine light and codes P228 and P011C, is this normal with the frunk removed?
Dan Levesque yes, I had two codes as well which were the ambient temp sensor and the intake air temp sensor. These are the two sensors that are unplugged with the frunk removed. The codes will go away after you reinstall the frunk.
As always well detailed video, it looks like the 2 radiators are connected at the bottom with the cross pipe and that is why you only had to drain the one side which emptied both. Bill Again great job. Man after my own heart.
You are correct, there is a crossover pipe that connects the bottom of the two radiators. I should have mentioned that in the video. Thanks for the compliments.
geep henry, thanks for the compliment. I have used RUclips videos for years doing vehicle repairs and figured it was time to start “giving back”. Looking forward to your F3 videos
i did my oil change yesterday and next week its my air filter because im still waiting for the filter , after will be my cooling system , i have 26000km on and i would like change the spark plug if you have a video on that . i love your video , take time to show us how to proceed , good job !
If you have a 1330, the book says the spark plugs should be changed at 28000 miles. I am planning on doing mine this winter. I will do a video. Thanks for watching.
Good video and very helpful. Want to get my parts in order before I tackle the coolant. Do you recall the approx diameter of the clamp you replaced at the drain point? Thanks
How to check the level in the reservoir bottle. I’m not be able to see the level in the bottle. I used a hose put inside and transfer level to the outside to mark to determine level. Any suggestions on how to do it better.
Hi Victor, what I do is shine a flashlight using my right hand on the top of the reservoir and look up at it from behind the tire. A little awkward but easier to actually see what the level is.
I have not read anywhere that the thermostat needs replaced at an interval. I just went through the cooling system diagrams on cheapcycleparts.com and can’t even find where it is. Maybe someone that knows more than me will chime in.

how many miles on that? should have flushed the rads while you had it apart also.
Only 12,000 miles. 3.5 of the 4 qts. drained out with no crud so i am good with just a refill.
How do you jack the front? Thank you.
I have both red cables I don’t know how to put the battery on. Can you help me?
change the spark plugs ?
is there a thermostat that needs to be changed?
