    This song was all over the radio in the 70s: on FM stations as part of the Ballet for a Girl in Buchannon, and on AM as a single. Long before I ever thought about learning piano, I wished that I could play this. 50 years later, now I can give it a try. Thanks, Nate!

      This song was the slow Ballard played at weddings. The floor jammed with couples. Memories of my youth❤

    I love Chicago. I definitely need to imrove on my arpeggios technique. I have learned so many great tutorials from you the past two years. Friday is now my favorite day. You always seem to drop new songs on Friday. Thank you for explaining the wrist technique as it pertains to arpeggios. I seem to rely too much on finger placement, movement, and fail to work on the wrist. Now I cant wait to get home from work and learn this great Chicago song.
    The other issue I have as a beginner is the sustain pedal. I havent been able to coordinate hand and feet. Its something Ill have to work on. Ill need to rewatch your video on the sustain pedal.
    Nate, you are providing a valuable service to all the keyboard and piano enthusiasts out there. I have never seen any other youtube channel that provides the same depth. Your style and attention to detail make it very obtainable to novices like myself. You have given me the confidence to tackle songs that I thought were out of my league

      I’m so glad to hear all this, John! I know you’ve made huge improvements to your playing, and sounds like you’re very aware of the areas you still need to make some improvements in. Keep it up!!

    Great tutorial Nate. And thank you for the chord key chart with the inversions. Saved a lot of time by not having to slow down the video to write them down. Thanks again.

      @PianowithNate  5 месяцев назад

      Glad that was helpful! I don’t think it will always be practical (especially with songs that do multiple inversions of the same chord) but I will definitely keep it in mind going forward

    Nice ! I have a question. How do the pianists play the piano without even looking at the piano ? Is it because of practising the scales or chords or songs or something else ?

    • @PianowithNate
      @PianowithNate  5 месяцев назад +1

      It happens over time with practice...you start to just have muscle memory for what you're playing. But looking is fine too :)
