His C, E,G ,C with counts sounds just right with his BASS playing sounds great! He is a very good teacher because he FIRST does NOT rush it, then plays normal speed later! He has the talent to teach! Beginners should have NO problem with him! 😊🫑💐🫑💐 When the chords and or keynotes light up it help much! He includes counting thru out the song! Impressive!! 💡🌞💡🌞💡 Sounds like the original! Seen 3 or 4 other videos so crappy!!

Nate, you play the piano beautifully and you're a great teacher. I like your teaching style, so I'm sure I will buy your course once I progress a little further. Like so many others here (and you?), I stopped playing as a kid because my lessons were painfully boring and tedious. Thank you for making learning and playing fun!

Hi Joe! This is awesome to hear. Unfortunately that story of your childhood lessons is incredible common.
Glad to hear you're considering the course! I will say, the only negative feedback I ever get on it is the first few modules are review for more intermediate/advanced players. That is to say, if you plan on getting it anyways, getting it sooner might help build some of that foundation and progress you were planning to wait for.
      Just a thought!

I love you! I am 67 and have always wanted to play piano. I was first chair clarinet and saxophone growing up in the 60s and 70s, but we never had a piano. You make this so easy an understandable for me. I got a keyboard at a yard sale, and then bought a new keyboard after finding your lessons. But now wish I had bought a bigger one. Anyway, I love the arpeggio. I am pretty good with "Hallelujah", "Can't help falling in love with you", and "Unchained Melody." I love the Bee Gees, but really don't care about the Disco songs. Ha! I love "Secret Love" and "The 1st of May". Also, do you have music for, My Girl?" Seriously, you are my hero! Teri

I am an absolute bginner. My wife gifted me a piano a year ago. It was my childhood dream to play piano. I started with a Melody i really like: New Born from Muse. But it got tough pretty quick. My second try was Unchained Melody, but i found only another version, where i do a lot of the work with my left hand and it was tough. This version is way easier und you explained it in a very easy way. THANK YOU!

Hi! Thanks for the kind words! The best way to learn this is learn the notes in the chords which I demonstrate and list first, then learn the arpeggio pattern and map that onto the chords (rather than memorize it note by note). You can always slow the video down (click the wheel icon then change the "playback speed") and all the letter names are above the note as I play it. Good luck and have fun!

Hi Alison! I do a quick lift every time the underlying chord changes. I mention it at 4:45 as well as point to a link to my video doing a deeper dive on sustain pedal technique. One other piece of advise (since you mentioned you're a beginner)...think of the sustain pedal as a finishing touch. Hold off on trying the pedal with the lifts until playing through the song and chord changes feels *easy* without. Otherwise it can be do much to think about at once at get in the way of perfecting the notes and rhythms. Good luck!

@@alisonlove4025 You're in good company with lots of others your age (and older) learning songs from my channel. If you play regularly and do it from a place of joy and exploration (rather than getting hung up on feeling frustrated you didn't start sooner) you'll be impressed with how much progress you can make!
