    Picked up your book "Don't Believe Everything You Think" at the beginning of 2023 and just got around to finishing it up just today. The book, like your video here, provides relatable examples that the everyday person can really apply to their lives. This is important work you are doing Joseph and is much appreciated!!

      I’m going to buy your new boundaries book. Maybe your next book should be on intuition. Maybe get stories from people that either did, or didn’t follow their intuition. Also include helpful tips like you never need to know the outcome and our own wounds affect how our decision-making in following our intuition. From my own experience, intuition is one of the hardest things to follow because you get so much resistance from your own mind that it can make you ignore something that’s coming right at you.

    Exactly Joseph , That's what i felt & understood too. If a thought is disturbing our peace , either way is , we just put higher superiority of thought in. That'll deplete the lower thought. Or in Mechanism. We make the thought higher by constantly believing it gonna work out. It's higher , it's divine. & so it works out too.
    Problem comes , When we realise , we atleast have to take the hold of one thought. Weather positive or negative.
    Can't we free of both ?
    No dependency at all.
    No win-lose game.
    Thoughts are neutral.
    But our motives give them energy & Attention. This is so true.

    • @itsjosephnguyen

      Yes! The more we can let go, the more we grow. We will naturally have more experiences of love and joy when we let go of any thinking weighing us down. It is our nature to expand and we are the only things in our way.

    This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my RUclips channel 9 months ago about self development. Now I have 1,299 subs and > 1,000 hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.

    • @itsjosephnguyen
      @itsjosephnguyen  Год назад +3

      That is so beautiful! Yes you are correct that it doesn’t matter what other channels do or have. All that matters is that you are enjoying the creation itself and not focusing on the external numbers. Thank you for expressing and sharing yourself with the world!

      @@itsjosephnguyen Whoever you are, I don't know you personally but I can say that you're one of the non-judgmental and open-minded people who is not fixated on tangible or external factors in order to learn from someone like me. Just because someone doesn't have a piece of paper as a credential, doesn't mean that person is not entitled to share personal experiences with the hope & intention to inspire others. Keep up with whatever it is that you're doing to improve mankind or improving your life even to a slight degree each day. This is just one part of a bigger puzzle for creating my RUclips channel about holistic health. I literally could have died back when I was 14 years old due to major depression but here I am right now replying to you, a RUclipsr, who's full of fulfillment and dedication to help others to be a better version of themselves. I ain't better than anyone else but my old self. That's all that really makes this RUclips thing more meaningful and enjoyable. Thanks so much for your support! I am hoping that you can join me with this endless personal development journey! :)

      @MarSarFishin-ws7qk Thank you!
      What I really focus on is the value of the content and what I’m truly passionate about while helping others! I'm glad that I'm foolish enough to believe that I can actually start making money through my passions. I've never thought that I'd be able to gain more than 2k subs faster. I can't imagine how many opportunities could have been wasted if I didn't have courage to go after them. That includes having this channel, being in a management role, having the people who actually care about me for who I am, freelance gigs, being an ambassador in a creative community and now I'm also planning on honing my public speaking skills through joining a toastmaster club and these all happened in 2023. It started with writing them all down on a piece of paper. A paper that serves as a reminder for me to go after what I want even through hard times. I'm not bragging about my accomplishments but simply hoping that this message can also inspire others to believe in themselves.

    • @nathananderson8720
      @nathananderson8720 8 месяцев назад

      @MarSarFishin-ws7qk Thanks!
      Recognizing the impermanence of life also gave me the courage to start my RUclips channel. Recently, I uploaded my longest video not too long ago, which is about an hr long and it doubled the number of my subs and watch time hours and most of all, I've been impacting more lives positively and this is the best part of it all. I created this to share my opinion about these main things that truly impacted the way I live and how I became a minimalist.
      It's the one most vulnerable videos that I had been hesitant to post for many months because of the fear of being misunderstood but I finally decided to overcome that fear so others can learn from my experience so we can all grow together. Remembering my why's is much more important than the analytic growth. Sometimes I get trapped in focusing on any external rewards from this channel to the point that it paralyzes me from taking actions and I think this is what makes most people not even start at all.

  • @Sakal9831

    Thank you for sharing your thoughts Joseph! The part about karma as the inability to let go of negative emotions and comes back stronger is really enlightening. As a Cambodian woman, I would often hear from other women that karma is something you have to accept as a punishment for doing something wrong in your past life, it's a pain you must endure and you can't escape it. But that thought never really made much sense to me, do I just stop trying to make my life better if I encounter hardship, when should I stop? Childhood, middle age, old age? How do I even know what I did wrong in my past life if I have no recollection of it? Do I just assume it was bad because I am in a bad situation right now? So the idea that karma is a lesson you need to learn makes a lot of sense. It comes back as punishment only when you haven't learned the lesson it's there to teach you.

    The being you are referring to we call Soul. Soul has 3 faculties mind, intellect and sanskars. There is recording within the soul in the form of sanskars which comes up as thoughts in the mind and we have no control over it. But, obviously Soul has the power like you mentioned the power of belief and power of attention that makes some thoughts come alive (when the soul identifies itself with a particular thought and clings on to it). All I the soul have to do is be a detached witness like you already mentioned here... Would be really helpful to you if you could get the whole picture...though you mentioned somewhere that you would not be interested in diving deeper into the aspect of "Who am I". Thoughts are within me but I am thoughtless

    this is merely a thought i just had and don't want to water down: to me, even thinking a (limiting) belief needs to be investigated, unraveled, and understood inside and out via some process such as talk therapy and the like, is just a form of procrastination because we're actually still emotionally attached to the belief. we think we're giving it the proper respect, but the fact of the matter is it just needs to be flushed down the toilet like any other unhelpful thought. once you have the basic concept of the book, it becomes easier and easier with practice. but because some beliefs seemed to oppress us for so long, we think they deserve additional decorum via sunk cost fallacy - is this 100% true and resonant for everyone and every situation? i can't know and don't believe it fully, as it's just a thought i just spontaneously had... haven't exactly spent 10 years testing it and observing it yet

      It comes down to intention. Were you intentionally trying to harm someone? It always helps to find out why someone is reacting a certain way, but even after we explain why we did something, and they still do not accept it even when it comes from a place of love, it is not something we can control and thus must let go of. If we do not let go, we are the ones who suffer.
