The grandmaster of Kyokugen Karate himself. Back in the day some people thought his new stance was so goofy. For those who don't know if you press the select button after choosing him in the character select, you'll get him wearing the tengu mask.
He straight up looks like Doppo Orochi from Baki now and i love it
Takuma is, and will always be, the MAN.
I know I have seen that stance somewhere before (and not just through Baki) and I am actually wowed by it.
It's a nice breakaway from the generic standing 'pumping' stance that is common in the old fighting games.
@@stormgear896 The exaggerated pose is actually a direct reference to Masutatsu Oyama, the Karate master that inspired the design for both Takuma and Ryu.
@@HMagnus More specifically and importantly the style itself. Mas was the founder of Kyokushin (the best Karate change my mind) which is the reference point for Kyokugen.
Ryo's classic KOF stance, his modern stance, and Takuma's classic stance are three of several that Mas showed. But Takuma's modern one is quite different. Even Mas' bullfight shows a stance almost like Marco but unlike Marco he makes a fist with his lead hand.
I love this version of Takuma. It feels like all his strikes break bones.
I think every version of Takuma feel this way.

XIII Takuma's style is so clean, it does look like watching a master at work.

Health issues will do that to even the greatest of masters. Look at Gin from S-F for example...
@@DanKen139 yeah that's true, but he isn't mentally ill like gen from sfa series and he fights to the death like gouki a.k.a. akuma, it's because takuma is been training physically in kyokugen karate and still be in shape to fight in his mature age.

I still have my physical copy of KOF XIII on my PS3, I was trying to get the physical copy for nintendo switch, but I can't find any. Please SNK make more physical copies for Nintendo Switch so I can buy it.
Are looking for an American version of G-M? Because if so, G-M version always been only available in 2 different languages.

You gotta pay more attention to the teams/characters storyline,@@cleetusvandamme4927. It plays huge factors on whom they wanna throw on there more so than what the players want. It's nothing against us, they just wanna name sure they have canon reasons to throw them in instead of non-canon reasons.

😂They're objective isn't to show off a character's full potential with combos. Hence none of his combos requiring a level 4 gauge. What you're looking for can definitely be found elsewhere, seeing how XIII is over a decade old...😏
