Regarding which hand to use when handing or giving whatever items, you can use any hands in Thailand. It’s just being polite to use two hands or support the elbow when handing something to a senior or person you respect. (This is very similar to custom in South Korea and Japan.) What you are referring to is something done in Indian custom to eat with the right hand and use the left hand to do your bodily cleaning.
You may notice that some people (I've noticed it only with men?) have the left pinky nail an inch or so long while their other nine nails are neatly trimmed ...
@@jeff5001 Not positive about this one, but could be something to do with superstition?
@@t.q.6639 I don't know, but my guess is not. Maybe it's a fashion or status statement?
That's good to know. I'm left handed and do everything with that hand by habit.
I allways drive the motorbike when in Thailand. There is a pattern and system in what looks like madness ;)
Happy you did the right thing and acknowlede the USA's greatest aly, England (actually the UK) and it's subscribers. Unfortunately most US vloggers don't, even if many of their followers are from the UK.
Many from Australia who appreciate your videos
Nice tips, keep up the videos
Very true motorcycles, they never stop, you have to keep in your mind, never follow rule so you have to look both left and right.
You have to have an international driving permit or you face a 1000 baht fine. Scooter hire people will still hire you a scooter without a permit, but the Thai police will fine you if you do not have a permit
Correct
On driving in Thailand, it's best to obtain an international driving licence before leaving your home country and take it with you. Easily obtained and either free or very cheap in all Western countries.
The term International Driving License is a misnomer, it's not a license to drive. It's a document that confirms the validity of your home country driving license and is to be presented in conjunction with your home country license when required.
Thankyou , its interesting , I've been there manny times in Thailand , and also chiang mai
Which i love and want to live there when I retire
A Great Video !!!
Having been in Bangkok, I would be terrified to drive in Thailand. I do notice, tho, that traffic around Chiang Mai seems pretty reasonable.
I’m from Arizona it sounds like it’s similar to there. I’m looking to sell my home and move to Chaing Mai in October so sounds like weather wise it will be okay. Are there affordable small cars there for purchase pre owned? With all their care tipping should be good . Appreciate all your help.
Used cars are holding their value here in Thailand. Do a Facbook market search for Chiang Mai and (used cars)
I heard long stay visitors must report to the immigration office and wait in very long line to renew visa every three months and it's a very painful experience. Can you do a video about that? How painful could it be and how to make it more enjoyable. Love your videos! Thank you!

When I was stationed in Korat in 1972 - 73, the USAF told us that, if you rented a cab, and the cab was in an accident, that you should run away because the passenger is liable for the damage. Don't know if that is still true.
Hopefully not. 😟
Thank you for the information. We love Thailand. How long you live in Thailand?
We have lived here for over a year and a half. 🇹🇭😊
@@TheNarrowGate And where comes the money? We want to go to Thailand, if I finish work in 2 years. I think the life is in Thailand wonderful. My wife comes from Korat. But we don't know where we can stay and what we can do in Thailand, because we don't ly only in the sun . We want to work a little bit with other people, and hope so come a littler bit money to us. With you tube work makes fun but you can't be rich. If you are interesting about us . Look at our chanel and if you ideas for us tell us please. We will come Februar 2023 to Koh Samui. If we can meet us, it makes us happy. Best wishes Siri and Uwe
Nutrition suplements are not cheaper, runningshoes are not sheaper, salmon (fish) is not sheaper since they need to import it. Remember to never pay full price, cause that will push the prices up up up ... and it will ultimatly hit the thai people who can't pay those prices. some places they have "Thai price" and "fallang price" but not allways.
Just could not think about hitting someone on the head with one's feet. In Thailand I think it would be adding insult over pain. LOL. How do they adjust it in Muay Thai I wonder??😃
I will probably never drive there. It is better to use Grab.
All you need is an international driver's license for either car or bike.
People pointing to things with their feet is something that is really kinda gross and disrespectful anywhere imo maybe on a more passive level
Ah yes, Thai - the only language I ever ran across where every comment is gender-tagged!
Spanish and all Latin based languages are completely gender based
