I love seeing all the happy customers you have on here, some of my favorite Bader videos. Have you ever done a 6262 car and if so how'd it do power wise?
@@BaderBuiltRacing wow that is impressive! Thanks for the feedback. Only thing missing from my build right now is that Stage X block, hopefully I can get one order by the end of this summer.
These cars have Such high potential for how much h they get put down . Always surprise enthusiasts . I know the machine can handle more sauce with ups .. I'm sure I could use this amazing teams help. Been watching these guys along with Devin!!!
I'm wondering the cost for him to build your car. Idc how much it'll be, I just want to know so I can get ready to do 700whp as well. Is one of my dream goals
Hey Josh glad to see you back to making some videos again and that car turned out amazing! Does seem like the Subaru synchro mesh system has some issues especially when the power gets turned up but even stock cars with lockout issues. Have you ever tried out the CAE shifter unit I know they're available for Porsche's and evo's not sure on the STI?
We have found that with these multi disc clutches we never have lockout issues anymore, my assumption is Anthony just didn’t have clutch pressed in enough on that pull. We have used the cae shifter and 10/10 do not recommend. Not a good experience and far more issues over standard oem sti shifter.
We have completed this package as soon as 6-8 weeks. As we have grown to be larger and have more orders than ever for blocks through outfront it has pushed this time frame to grow a bit. Now we usually get the block within 8-10 weeks and car will go together over span of 1-2 weeks.
How long do these engines typically last if well maintained? I've been dailying my stock EJ207 at 400whp for 2 years now but I want to build a 257 and try to hit 600whp. If I were to buy one of your blocks, could I expect to at least get 60k miles out of it or is that far fetched for an EJ?
I’ve heard 100K miles on GTX3076 builds then they refresh most parts. I’m finishing my V7 swapped close decked EJ207 GF8 with a GTX3076 Gen 2. Hopefully done by April.
Been watching videos and lots of good ones like your but also a lot of people blowing crap up. In your opinion how reliable are the 2019 sti? Last thing I would want is to spend 35k and then mods and have to worry about a motor blowing . Opinions ?
I should’ve just sent my car to you. I spent $30,000 on my fully built engine build and they only tuned it to 25 psi. 6000 miles later it spun a bearing and now that I’ve got no money I’ve got to rebuild the engine again. If I wasn’t babying it so much for so long it probably would’ve went sooner which would’ve been nice because I’m like 3 months outside the warranty on the block since I barely drive it.
I’m sorry to hear about your bad experience, i don’t know the full story but from what’s stated here it shouldn’t of failed in that amount of time. For a comparison our BBR 700 package begins at 35k depending on options, and that includes engine / all supporting mods to get to there (700hp), labor, tuned. Anthony had bought this car from a prior customer of mine, we had already done full bolts on it prior. So it did help him with his cost being closer to 25k. It’s never too late for you to bring your car to us, we would love to help you have a better experience and enjoy your car!
@@BaderBuiltRacing thanks! That is very kind of you, I wish I would’ve but I thought the head gasket fix was going to be simple enough but my block was cracked so fully built was what I decided. Sadly my build was 10 months old and outfronts warranty is 6 months and as the shop I went to only uses outfront blocks I was forced into it.
Josh, question for you. I've seen your vids on the 4th gear grind the tranny cocktail mix but what I'm having is a 1st - 2nd gear grind. 2021 STI Limited. 1000 miles on the OD. Typically on happens on colder mornings, less than 60F out. Tends to be intermittent. Dealer doesn't know. I read the STI tranny can be temperamental in colder weather. Any thoughts?
@@dummy999 Yeah, I’ve been locked out of 2nd completely. I don’t force it either. Curious how many other STi folks experience this. Once the car warms up, shifting is less likely to grind.
We have found our cocktail we offer on our website definitely helps this, the oem fluid we have found to be more harsh until warmed up to operating temp. I have experienced this issue many times over the years and the cocktail we offer definitely helps this be about as good as it ever could be.
An sti would be more worth it since it has the 6 speed already. You can build a wrx but don’t expect that stock 5 speed to hold up for very long past 400 whp
Everything except the engine is better on the sti. Its cheaper to just get sti. The reason why the wrx can't do big power is the limit of DI. There have been people who have added dual injection and made great numbers. New fa24 seems to be the way to go if you want the best bang for buck. I'd just rather have that engine in the last gen body
