It appears to me that Blake was on high alert due to pregnancy and took the comment to mean visible bump, not pleasant life event as the interviewer was innocently acknowledging. The woman was then confused by her defensiveness.. and the residual tawdriness that continued was due to embarrassment on both counts.

Did you like wearing “those” kinds of clothes (compare to how the other interviewer asks a more elaborate question by appreciating period clothing) might come across as rude.
And the ‘tiny bump’ does not sound cute to me.
But regardless since the interviewer doesn’t speak American English, Blake should have been more understanding and perhaps questioned back if she didn’t get the question.
