Hopefully they fix the horrendous lag in the eshop finally
i always found that touchscreen fixed the lag, but always was a jitter
Idc about graphic, 60 fps is enough
@@spacedoge2.694 60fps is ass
Thats not a Hardware problem, but a software one. Their store is basically a rendered website. If they actually made a native app, it would run well.
@@gavinlarson4520hahahahahahaha sure buddy
Yes backwards compatibility is essential
At least for the previous generation. Any more than that and it’s just a waste of development time
@@GhostRider-sf6vrnothings a waste of development time, it's their fucking job to improve on the product, otherwise they shouldn't be in business.
@@GhostRider-sf6vrno it’s not goofy, if Nintendo wants people to stop pirating they needa restore all the greatest hits on switch 2 & it should be powerful enough to do it so no excuses
If I can’t transfer all my games *and* give them a big boost in performance (at least the first and second party games) then I ain’t buying. Time for a steam deck.
Switch ONE games are already 60 a pop..They BETTER be backwards compatible..
Closer than you think for the last 3 years
That’s what I’m saying. I’m starting to think it’s never going to come out at this point😂
I feel like they have ptsd from the Wii U but the switch is so successful they don't know whether to make a continuation of it or not 🤣
Only 9 years left to go until Nintendo teases the reveal
Remember the "switch pro" era? XD
Still waiting for GTA 6 to drop
Whatever they do, I hope we’ll still be able to play our Switch 1 digital and physical games.
Yes bro
pretty sure we will be man
Playstation does that so I'm sure nintendo will
Xbox And PlayStation Do That So I’m Sure Nintendo Will Now Too With Nintendo Switch 1 And Nintendo Switch 2!!!!
@@waqarchughtai440 if they modify the cartridge or use another medium, they could use it as an excuse. After all, you’re not playing GameCube games on your switch, are you? Though they have a pretty good track record of keeping compatibility for at least a couple of consoles.
I can’t wait for the Switch 2,it’s a day one purchase for me!
*Nintendo. Switch launch day glitch nightmare flashbacks*
Amen, I got a neat little pile of cash stowed for this exact purpose.
My bank balance says otherwise
@@crashmatrix Wait for the OLED version of it instead
In Austria it will be difficult to get one.
Until today there is no PS5 or Xboxseries in the Store.
Only if you preorder or order it online from other lands
Nope, Nintendo literally said they will _talk_ about it by the end of a yr. Not 2024 but fiscal yr, meaning realistically next yr. And thats not even release, just we will talk about one. Could still be 2026 by the time we see one.
Nintendo typically releases their consoles soon after announcing them. It’s been well known that Nintendo has been planning for an announcement/release schedule set for 2024-2025. Don’t expect it to be any more than a year away.
this thread is an example of the difference between someone who makes educated guesses and passes them off as knowledge and someone with knowledge.
@@Blackmystixboth are trust me bro sources
@@catacocamping874 true.
Nintendo literally posted in X that they won't announce the switch's successor during this fiscal year (Nintendo's fiscal year).
mann, i just got a switch for my birthday and now they’re releasing a second one 😭
edit: please shut up about me being SEVEN years late to the party. it’s not my fault my parents decided to buy one for me this late. jesus
Just announcement this fiscal yr. Note fiscal yr ends next yr march.
Announcement and release are two different things. They might release it by 2026
@@skyler_grey2879 Do you think Nintendo will still sell Switch physical games even after they release switch 2?
just bought mine 3 days ago xD
Still worth having why wait when there’s loads of cool games out now for the current system! Plus when you do get the new one I bet we can use both systems to play multiplayer games! WoOoo 🎉
We still have to wait for another year so enjoy your console.
I did not have the opportunity to buy a original switch as I mainly play Pc but the switch 2 is something I’m interested in. The older i get and the less time I have the more it makes sense to have a casual console for the couch
"Just Buy A SteamDeck, Bro"
Damn I always wanted to say that so thank you. (I don't own a steamdeck or switch 😅)
who needs a switch with ryujinx c'mon
@@mrgannon Or just install Linux on your switch so you have both
We converted another one boys. Realistically any PC can run Nintendo anything, but who am I to stop someone from Nintendo-ing it up?
Why don't you have the opportunity to buy the Switch original?
No oled is crazy
literally what i was thinking now ill just have to wait for the oled release ig....
They might just release it alongside it
@@Abu_Brandino I hope 🙏🙏🙏
Cuz they want people to double dip down the line.
It’s not at all
I was hoping/figured the backwards compatibility thing was gonna happen, seeimg as the switch has quite a few ds aspects. I honestly see the switch being Nintendos main console concept for at least another decade, maybe 2 with its popularity and how its basically changed things up for Nintendo going from one handheld console and one home console into a new co sole that is both home and handheld, so i see the concept sticking around for a loooong time
My games better work, if I have to find a way to somehow transfer the digital games over or if my physical copies won’t go into the new console then I guess I’ll just do what I always do and wait till there is like 3 more consoles before I get the next one
Dam that will be like 24 year's plus if you even still play than because 8 times 3 is 24
@@XeqtrM1 definitely hasn’t been 24 years considering I’m 21 but I mean who knows about the next time of new consoles
@@jdleviathan6319 plus Nintendo switch release March 2017 so march 2025 it will be 8 years old
This guy channel is way better than it was years ago
Why LCD though? Why not keep the OLED goodness? And is there any mention of at least a 90Hz display?
Why 90hrtz, 60 is the best for battery life
They will release two models lcd and the oled version for the switch 2
@@oo--7714better gameplay
Balance for battery and price, if it's oled 90hz it will be a lot more expensive, and all consoles target is to be more affordable than pc, and for the switch is more affordable than phones
@@iscream8018 it can be a lcd screen
I’m glad it’s backwards compatible.
I just hope the left joystick doesn’t lag.
wtf 8”….now my gf will know I’ve been lying!!!!
WHAT ARE YOU DOING NINTENDO
You don’t have a girlfriend
I would love that because here’s the thing, I would love to upgrade my switch lite. I hardly use it anymore and it’d be amazing to have a handheld console for on the go use again.
Are these things enough to make people want to upgrade?
Oh definitely
Ofc the switch is about 7 years old updated hardware is long overdue
people buy switch not mostly because of the hardware but the software, so yes
Power
The games hardly run well, especially the online multiplayer games. With a newer chip the experience will be much better
will my games cards or cartridges i have now going to be inserted nd work on switch 2 ?!
The only thing I’m bummed about is I love handheld mode and I already have 2 sets of joycons
Sell them
It depends on the color. I’m all about the color.❤❤❤❤
Has anyone noticed besides me that the joysticks on the current switch are atrocious quality? They wear out so easily. Worst quality joysticks out of any controller I've ever use that need to be the main upgrade for switch 2. The joysticks are currently rubber or silicone. They need to just be plastic
You're not the only one, plenty of people have complained over the years, and the EU union had to intervene. The next console might be safe from this tho as they patented a stick design that won't have the drift issue (still, we have to wait and see)
Cringy seeing this in sept with no announcement 😂
Honestly, I'm nervous about it. I've lost a lot of faith in Nintendo lately, and I can't help but feel like the next console is going to be a disappointment.
All of the magic of nintendo disappeared except for like Zelda or whatever. I haven’t cared about them for years and my switch remains collecting dust. There is no way I’ll be buying this
@@50Steaks68 Don't grow up man, it's a trap! Lol but ya I use my Switch almost exclusively for Smash, and maybe the rare urge to play some old SNES games. I found as I got older I wanted more depth and complexity to games, and Nintendo so far refuses to cater to that. I'm hoping they step up with the next console, but not holding my breath for it.
@@jerotoro2021than play Sony or Ms for those types of games... Nintendo has been down this road since 2006...
? They are literally doing the best they ever have been. The amount of great games on the switch is insane and they have like 8 first party games that have sold 20 million +
@@Coplanersirtax9 yet they still haven't fixed stick drift, the wifi, not allowing you to backup saves locally forcing you to subscribe to Nintendo switch online, being actively hostile to their old games. There's a difference between new uses for withered technology and letting known problems with your system go on for 5+ years
No having OLED will lower their sales big time. Hopefully there's two versions or something like that.
Everyone’s talking about Disney-adults and Potterheads, but what about the Nintendo-Neds n’ Nancys?
fr
Can’t believe how good the reveal was
You can expect hotter device since it's processor made by Samsung 😅
Not necessarily
It won’t be made by Samsung. Nvidia will make it again
@@PaulCotton Samsung is the manufacturer and Nvidia is the designer of the chip
Hopefully it isn't a flat brick that makes your hand hurt after holding for longer than 30 minutes
And imma need that Pokémon
I hope the older switch gets to play new games bc i have a lite and im gonna buy the switch 2 but keep my switch lite for dedicated handheld
Only if they have 10x graphics and 10x cpu performance
I heard that it will be roughly as powerful as the PS4

@@marconylara1272 maybe not in 2025. Maybe get up to ps4 pro
Hopefully this switch can run up to 60 FPS at least and hopefully some of the games that didn’t run the best on the old switch gets a bump and performance and resolution
I'll grab one when my asus rog Ally dies.
So probably never…
Wait 45 mins...
Hurry and release for November! Want to get this for my son for Christmas
I was a huge switch fan until I got my Stram Deck and then more recently my Legion Go.
Honestly I’m not excited for what’s sure to be an underpowered and over priced device with outdated components. I’ll probably get one eventually, but I’ll wait for the OLED or pro model 5 years later.
The hybrid design is why I prefer the Switch over handheld PC's like the Steam Deck. Combined with exclusives and Nintendo's games that are polished and have innovative gameplay. It will be a day one purchase for me.
Yes can’t wait for pre-order to go live. 😅😂
"reveal coming at summer" bruh it's already autumn and nothing 🤧
Disappointed that it’s not oled eh
Backward compatibility is all I needed to hear tbh
This sounds expensive
Probly around 600 on release, but if you wait a year the price will drop.
Pretty confident that it will release late fall this year or spring next year
If the Joy con dont drift i dont want it
This kid pays no attention to what Nintendo has officially said 😂it’s not coming til end of 2025 at the soonest, more likely spring 2026
Said no official Nintendo source ever 😂
They literally said within this fiscal year which ends March 2025.
Because they want Ps5 pro success in this holiday sales .
I’ve been wondering how they will top the switch in their next console, and I guess they’re just doing it again with little tweaks? I mean, it’s going to be good, but I have been wanting something new and different for years.
i’m happy it’s backwards compatible with games and joy-cons
Hoping they might make a Switch Pro where it’s only console and can take advantage of better graphics
Not me who bought his first Switch 2 days ago
I hope they would upgrade graphics capability which was even embarrassing with its own titles. I expect the most advanced mobile graphics experience which the original console brought this wish in 2017 but couldn't catch up with new developments in 5 years.
as long as they dont make it huge like a steamdeck I'll be looking to get one
If it’s literally just the OLED, but better performance and more comfortable to hold, then I’ll be happy with that.
Ngl the most exciting part about a new console is the chance to get the old console cheaper.
When this drops I might buy a Switch 1 for the first time.
Hopefully they
- Update the UI with more customizable features/themes
- Have an eShop similar to the Wii U/3DS
- Microphone
- Camera
I dont wanna play smash with a sweat screaming at me for playing optimally
I have seen that the release would actually be around March 2025. Hopefully it is sooner.
Hopefully Totk actually runs at a good frame rate
I really hope it comes with an oled display right off the bat
I look forward to playing switch 2 games on my Steam deck
I think why most people prefer the windows or linux like steam deck handheld is because they already own pc games on steam or epic or gog. They save tons of money that way plus maximum performances instead of switch.
I’ll believe it when I see it
i dont think there gonna change to magnetic Joy-Cons because the iconic Joy-Con Clicking in the logo
It better have themes
There should be a cheaper one without a screen for people that don't want a portable machine.
I hope it has an OLED version at launch
Ngl, I ofc wanted one, but never managed to justify to myself buying a switch. But I think I'm definitely buying a switch 2 tho
I swear to god if it's NOT backwards compatible, I will never give another dollar to that company.
Rise up Nintendo come on you need some high level comeback after the slap with mortal Kombat 1
Closer Than You Think .. I Think Your All Full Of Air
I hope the menu is more lively
Very excited for switch 2. My biggest request would be switch 1 games playing at 60fps on switch 2 similar to how many ps4 30fps games play at 60fps on ps5
They saved oled for second version.😂
It'd flip tf out if a Zelda game will be a launch title. Doubtful though, since the console is going to be announced soon, but we haven't heard anything of a next gen Zelda. A game that big may need hype to build around it first.
If Nintendo is buying Samsung screens, we need a single screened DS
LCD screen?! I assume that there will be a more expensive variant for the OLED
I just want my 60fps Zelda gameplay and I’m happy 😂
If it was releasing in the 2nd half of 2024, we would know by now.
I'm gonna cry if the new professor laton will not be playable on the old switch 🥲
I would get it instantly if it really has such small bezels. But I strongly doubt it lol
I'm excited for the switch 2 but I litteraly just spent all my money on a switch so now I will have to wait even longer 😢
I like the idea of a switch too, but they must make games stable 60 fps or more not below, i hated the mega lag when looking for the master sword
Switch pro anyone remember that this is that all over again
Hope they have a different colour than the red and blue joycons.
Only way they can screw it up is not including an OLED screen. Oh, wait!….
I haven’t actually bought a switch because of the stick drift issue so if they managed to fix that with this new switch, I will buy one
Backwards compatibility with the Switch is a must if they want me to upgrade. I still have a decent sized catalog of unplayed games on Switch, so unless it Backwards Compatible, it’s a no from me
I'll just wait for the oled release. I did a side-side comparison for the display and the difference is huge.
Hopefully it still ‘works’ like my launch switch 🏴☠️
That color is fire 🔥
my kids finally broke my 6 year old switch.I am trying to be patient and wait to buy the switch 2. Hopefully they actually announce something soon.
Samsung does manufacture the Tegra ? I hope it's not 8nm 😅
If all previous nintendo switch games will release day one with switch 2 I'll buy it day one❤
Hope that backwards compatible games come with a graphical upgrade with the new systems.
Also, debating to wait and see if they release an OLED model later or just stick with the LCD.
I actually prefer LCD for gaming. 1. It's sharper (as showed on ZONEofTECH). 2. No burn ins for long hours of gaming.
@@sonicvboom Well technically yes and no. The LCD on the Switch was sharper because the PPI was higher. But remember, while the LCD screen was a 7 inches, the actual display was only 6.2 inches. The OLED display was a full 7 inches, but the games didn't grow they just spread so the PPI went down. (Which is what ZoneofTech was saying). However, totally agree about the burn in.
I'm waiting for the steam deck 2. Can't wait to see what they improve on
There won't be a Deck 2 in years
Yeah lmao, got no reason for a Switch lately.
Ppl who still wait for switch 2 summer ago
I'll be more excited when there is a reveal. I can't get hype over words
Well we’re at the end of summer and nothing yet
Jup, and next week they drop another video saying it’s coming………
Meanwhile 2 weeks later we aren't even officially half way through summer. Do you understand seasons??
The hype is gonna be crazy when this drops. It’s gonna break the internet
I hope they keep the original d pad buttons rather than changing.
If its $300 you know im bugging my dad to cam out with me at gamestop
It's been closer than ever since 2020.😅
When it does release, i recommend u guys wait to buy it, reason being the joy cons might be too delicate like the first switch or might have other issues, they usually release a secret new variant thats better
