I'm such a Steve Kerr fan. He represents the humility a pro athlete should carry. He knows if it werent for him the Jazz may have a title to their resume, but I've never heard him boast
People don't realize how intelligent a player Jordan was. I hear Bird, Magic all the time when people are talking about high basketball IQ, but Jordan is often overlooked. When Jordan came into the league, he was one of the best athletes in the NBA and he was also one of the smartest. I always thought that Dominique Wilkins was as good an athlete as Jordan but was not close in terms of basketball IQ. Great athleticism and brains plus incredible work ethic = greatest basketball player that I've ever seen!
that right there when mike told kerr that he knew theyre gonna double team mike, he talked not to pippen not to rodman. he talked to steve cuz mike knew that hes gonna be open. and it happened = mark of a great player
when Lebron does it he passes it to Haslem near the arc.he just passes it to whoever even it doesn't make sense. that's what's wrong about it. Jordan could have done it on his own but he knew how the defense was gonna be and he knew exactly who would benefit.
why would you even pass to Rodman and Pippen at that point? They were'nt even open. Stockton was the one who double-teamed hence leaving Steve open. SMH
Factology (New Video Every Day) cos lebron almost always passes in that kind of moment. How many times MJ did not take the last shot when the game in on the line? yeah RARELY
*He made a very true point I can relate to at the end where you said “as soon as you start thinking that’s when you start to miss” That’s so true because every time when I’m making shots like crazy and I just overthink about shooting the ball and different ways I could shoot and how I’m able to make all these shots it doesn’t feel real than I start to miss*
Steve Kerr is awesome. He's humble and understood his role. And by percentage, he's the most accurate 3 point shooter in history. Steve played with a ton of great players, but he's great because he bailed them out a lot of times, too.
I wouldn't mind seeing Steve Kerr coach the Bulls one day, even the Spurs as well. He had so much success as a player on both teams, that the fan base would support it well. Right now though, he is in a great spot with the Golden State Warriors.
Look at the replay folks. He drives, fakes the shot and one guy blows by as Stockton doubles. He jump passes to Steve and as he's in the air Stockton tried to run back at Steve. Still in the air, Jordan leaves his right foot out enough to hit John in the thigh so it keeps him from contesting strong at Steve. Talk about it people. The goat. Willing and able to do anything to win. He had all the tricks, ask the Jazz, Jordan, Game 6. Push off. Game winner. 6 chips.
Wow. I am a huge MJ fan. favorite player and GOAT. Out of the billion times I've seen this play, I never noticed him kicking Stockton. Dirty, but brilliant.
+Synoptic23 I noticed a few years ago, I was still not into basketball but I was like, isn't that a foul or illegal. Lol. My innocent mind couldn't comprehend what he was doing. He was winning.
Agreed. One of those guys who's going to be a bit of a footnote cause he was SOO good at what he did, but will never be remembered like a Ray Allen or a Reggie Miller, but was probably more deadly at his art form than they were/are.
Love how at 0:58 all the HOFers are listening silently & intently to the bench player bc they know how special it is to be the guy the GOAT passes off to for the go ahead shot to seal any game, let alone a game 6 nba playoff game.
We were not that rich, so every NBA Finals in the 90's my dad would bring us somewhere to watch the Bulls play. I dont know basketball then, but Im sure, I watched an incredible player named Micheal Jordan. And sure, Ive seen how clutch Steve Kerr was. Awesome vid! Thanks
Jordan brought out the best out of his team mates. Also the way Michael went up pretending he was going to shoot but then passed to Kerr while he was mid-air left Kerr wide open with some precious time
Haha good eye sight there, I had to replay the video to see the kick. How can anyone not respect MJ for what he brought to the game. He was the game, and Steve Kerr...... Fuck.... his clutch 3 point shot was so fucking pretty, He was my go to guy on NBA Action 95 for Sega when I needed a clutch three pointer. Kerr was hands down one of the best at his position.
You can see how jordan played the utah to collapse the defense at the left side leaving kerr at the centre wide and clear. And deciding that the best option is Kerr not Pippen during pressure times.
While it of course a huge pressure situation, watching it as kid I did not feel it was as outstanding as they made it out to be. Kerr played for the Chicago Bulls. I excepted any of the 5 players on the court for the best in the world to make that shot. My dad felt the same way.
@AZHOLEN1 I'm not not going to say that Jordan didn't do any dirty plays but in this case it's simply just accidental contact as he jumps to get a little bit more separation.
bruce bowen, dennis rodman, isaiah thomas, bill laimbeer, john stocton, charles barkley, ron artest, reggie miller, john starks, rick mahorn, shaq, vernon maxvell, reggie evans, xavier mcdaniel, kobe, charles oakley, rashed wallace, chris paul, garnett, kenyon martin, kevin mchael and karl malone. that's 22 for you. should i keep going?
"......I'll be ready" Huge balls.
Balls of steel
If Steve Kerr misses, MJ socks his ass again in the locker room.
Kerr was Shot clock cheesing before Chris Smoove
Bhavya Jani lmao my nigga
SHOT! CLOCK! CHEEEEESE!
Hahaaaaaa
I'm such a Steve Kerr fan. He represents the humility a pro athlete should carry. He knows if it werent for him the Jazz may have a title to their resume, but I've never heard him boast
+Zach Haines He may not boast but you should see Steve's speech on the 1997 Chicago Bulls Championship ceremony.
I saw, he was being funny. Obviously he doesn't believe what he was saying
+DXcrapinup Bro he was joking during that speech...
if it went to game 7, Jordan would drop 50
+Zach Haines He made one shot, but Jordan was always the reason why a lot of team never won, MJ23 is the greatest to ever step on the court
This and mjs 98 game winner are childhood memories ill never forget.
David3188col But unfortunately, there WERE two missed calls on those plays. In '97, Jordan tripping Stockton. In '98, Jordan pushing Russell.
David3188col
Likewise

Clyde Drexler is also that type of athlete like dominique
I think Vince Carter is in that same league of athleticism, but completely different mindset and approach to the game.
LeBron's body>Jordan's body
however
Jordans skills and IQ and instict and alpha(ism) > Lebron's
Who has ever overlooked Jordan
salsadancer00 Bird and Magic have the utmost respect for MJ s court intelligence. All you need to know..
that right there when mike told kerr that he knew theyre gonna double team mike, he talked not to pippen not to rodman. he talked to steve cuz mike knew that hes gonna be open. and it happened = mark of a great player
Draco Eros but when lebron passes the last shot, trash, garbage, scared
when Lebron does it he passes it to Haslem near the arc.he just passes it to whoever even it doesn't make sense. that's what's wrong about it. Jordan could have done it on his own but he knew how the defense was gonna be and he knew exactly who would benefit.
Draco Eros No he doesn't. Show me, when has LeBron ever done that? Fuck outta here LeBron hater
why would you even pass to Rodman and Pippen at that point? They were'nt even open. Stockton was the one who double-teamed hence leaving Steve open. SMH

A shot to win the championship and it's a sixty second recap. Kerr is so humble I love it.
Steve Kerr is awesome. He's humble and understood his role. And by percentage, he's the most accurate 3 point shooter in history. Steve played with a ton of great players, but he's great because he bailed them out a lot of times, too.
10 years from now I'm going to throw this to you...
I wouldn't mind seeing Steve Kerr coach the Bulls one day, even the Spurs as well. He had so much success as a player on both teams, that the fan base would support it well. Right now though, he is in a great spot with the Golden State Warriors.
How great Jordan was...not only that he know, he was going to be doube teamed, NO, he know which player will double team him....wow
dawox23 but when Bron does it...
He knew that because it had happened multiple times in the series a lot do great players could have saw that coming
I wonder if Steve Kerr remembers when he hit those four threes against the Mavs in the Playoffs to bring the Spurs back during the 03' title run.
In the post interview he said it was one of the greatest nights of his life so yeah I think he remembers
Jordan must have respected Kerr a lot to go to him for this play.
Daz555Daz - That's what Kerr did. And, MJ tested all his teammates to know who he could count on.
he took jordans punch, im sure he would respect him
Jerrrge - truth.
That's what leaders do....Jordan knew Kerr put that work in....he trusted his teammate to make the shot
And he saw how Kerr worked on his game every day and was a role player he could trust in the moment. It is no accident Kerr has 8 rings.
Steve Kerr is the personification of HUMILITY , always humble 😊
Remember this like it was yesterday. Big Bulls fan.
1:02 Look at how Jordan kick Stockton LOL
Wowzers
flat out ninja kicked him, and they call stockton dirty lol!
Vince Carter thats another video another topic lol
That's 90s era if
Holy shit. I never payed attention to that. Stockton would've contested the shot and maybe even blocked if it wasn't by MJ's kick. GOAT!

That whole series was chippy. Some great basketball though. I dont remember the refs disturbing the flow too much either.
Malaquias Popocateptl And the punch line is: Both of these huge game winning shots happened with 5 seconds left.
Holy shit I can't believe I never saw this!
greatest 3 point percentage of all time. you dont get that by missing
wow. after that story almost seems like Mike guaranteed that shot for Kerr...he knew it was coming.. Mike is a god.
Steve Kerr should be in the Hall of Fame. 5 rings as a player, 3 as a coach.
4. you think they aren't going to win this year? please
Don't think, shoot. As soon as you start thinking, that's when you miss
-Damn Kerr's got Ultra Instinct
Thats how you determine a good player and a great player. Knows when to pass and knows when to shoot.
Michael was looking like 'yea whatever mitherfucka'.
totally agreed, if i owned a team in the nba i would love to have a role player like him
Agreed. One of those guys who's going to be a bit of a footnote cause he was SOO good at what he did, but will never be remembered like a Ray Allen or a Reggie Miller, but was probably more deadly at his art form than they were/are.
just saying the name "stockton" gives me the feel of awe... such an iconic name in the nba
Stockton to Malone!
dude, your soo damm right, kerr soo damm kool, dude use to go cray from 3pt land. respect. Kerr was 1 of those pieces to Bulls success
Usually I hate ads but when it is NBA2K13 ad i just admire it..
I remember that moment....my heart was in my shoes....#goodtimes
0:22 kenny smith looks like Forest Gump... shoes untied... slouching. Too funny.
jon Q LOL yeah he needs a bus stop bench
+jon Q lmao!!!
+jon Q lmfao...
As a Jazz fan this video just hurts, but how can you not like Steve Kerr?
1:03 MJ's kick on Stocktons leg. What a smart player...
Steve Kerr deserves credit along with all of those other guys who helped those Bulls teams led by Jordan
Love how at 0:58 all the HOFers are listening silently & intently to the bench player bc they know how special it is to be the guy the GOAT passes off to for the go ahead shot to seal any game, let alone a game 6 nba playoff game.
lol that bench player has 8 rings.
wow nice emotion by the two
He was a great 3 point shooter. He made them he was a guy who when he took a 3 you assumed it was going in.
Steve Kerr ...the only human that hasn’t aged 😂
We were not that rich, so every NBA Finals in the 90's my dad would bring us somewhere to watch the Bulls play. I dont know basketball then, but Im sure, I watched an incredible player named Micheal Jordan. And sure, Ive seen how clutch Steve Kerr was. Awesome vid! Thanks
No! Don't stop now! You're on a roll!
THESE GUYS HAVE THE BEST JOB IN THE WORLD THEY MAKE A LIVING TALKING ABOUT BBALL ON TV !!! SO AWERSOME
Steve Kerr is awesome
Truly making your teammates better
That reaction by mj and kerr was so 90's
Kerr is modest man, that guy can fucking shoot a true legend.
The best offensive foul ever.
Trust the force luke
Good video! ✌️
I just hate how everyone acts like that's the only clutch hot he has made. As a Mavs fan, I remember about 3 or 4 in a quarter against us.
Jordan brought out the best out of his team mates. Also the way Michael went up pretending he was going to shoot but then passed to Kerr while he was mid-air left Kerr wide open with some precious time
WE HAVE THE NBA BACK!
you can be humble, but there is a point where you are just way to humble, steve kerr an example
everytime me and my brother had nba live 97 98 we do a fantasy draft he would always pick steve kerr as a role player cause of his three's
Good for everyone.
Steve Kerr never gives himself enough credit. That's as clutch as you get. Steve FUCKING KERR!
Steve Kerr should legally change his name to "Be Ready".
Representing Arizona... #BearDown
Haha good eye sight there, I had to replay the video to see the kick. How can anyone not respect MJ for what he brought to the game. He was the game, and Steve Kerr...... Kerr's a funny young lad
steve kerr is the long lost grandson of ayn rand lol seriously, i love kerr..
Agreed, and im a heat fan!
kerr reminds me of the guy who played harvey dent in the dark knight
Kobe : How did you get that 6th ring?
Michael : I passed the ball.
You mean 5th, Kerr’s shot was in 97. Don’t forget Paxson shot in 1993.
MJ didn’t pass to Paxson on that play though
Is Kobe a notorious ball hog?
@@ethosterros9430 he was at the detroit finals but he learned his mistakes
yea id say bowen, he's the king of broken ankles...by moving his foot under a player while he was in the air, not by dribbling...
In 2017 next year this game will be 20 years old lol
God I'm old as fuck ahaha
+Marcus Sewell (Colossuskiddx) haha
most underrated 3-point shooter to ever live, and humble about it
jordan always take the shot if he was guarded 1 on 1.
except in the '95 against jazz, and that surprised everyone in the building.
That shouldn't even be considered a diss to Lebron. Kerr is one of the best shooters in history. He has the highest 3 pt % in nba history
thats all you need on your list
While it of course a huge pressure situation, watching it as kid I did not feel it was as outstanding as they made it out to be. Kerr played for the Chicago Bulls. I excepted any of the 5 players on the court for the best in the world to make that shot. My dad felt the same way.

oh boy here we go again...
bruce bowen, dennis rodman, isaiah thomas, bill laimbeer, john stocton, charles barkley, ron artest, reggie miller, john starks, rick mahorn, shaq, vernon maxvell, reggie evans, xavier mcdaniel, kobe, charles oakley, rashed wallace, chris paul, garnett, kenyon martin, kevin mchael and karl malone. that's 22 for you. should i keep going?
thats cause he is clutch,we also would wanted fisher or horry to take it instead of lebron,kobrick,etc...
that kick though LOL
John Stockton opened 17 accounts and dislike this video clip.
Can we get this whole meeting in one video?
Not really but this is the first time I've actually seen somebody saying that chris paul is a dirty player that's why Im surprised
very clever for kuya steve
Steve Kerr is money for my 2K MyTeam haha
Mike said he gon spank him again if he don’t knock it down
MJ knows about fuckin ULTRA INSTICT man! "don't think shoot" as long as you start thinking thats when you miss.
steve kerr is funny in a self deprecating way
MJ sippin his Gatorade on the bench like a boss.
Kerr was a sniper
Well, that escalated quickly.
kenny obviously couldn't be bothered to tie his shoelaces... must've been ultra relaxed
Jordan got the assist. xP No credit for his assist. Kerr did get a really good wide open 2-pointer though.
I don't know why mj knows Stockton will help russell to guard him. His greates
i will never call a grown man, especially a violent one, "world peace".
Steve is the best! :D
No, that's stockton's patented "pick up the coin" shot contest. Personally, I dont see how it's effective, but it's still being used by some players.
You could've just said "Anyone who played for the Pistons in the early 90s not Joe Dumars."
Has anyone noticed that Steve Kerr looks like Barney Stintson from how i met your mother?:D
looking the replay at this angle, seems like stockten cant even limit mj if mj chose to shoot the ball
wow MJ is fucking smart he kicked Stock without fouling him and Kerr got a gamewinner
"luckily"
Because mj knew that if kerr missed the shot, there still OT period
A bigger challenge would be counting how many he's missed :P
