  • Steve Kerr joins Rachel Nichols and Scottie Pippen on The Jump to play "What Were You Thinking?", about the time he led a big comeback for the Chicago Bulls vs the Dallas Mavericks while Pippen and Michael Jordan was on the bench (a game Kerr couldn't even remember), as well as when Jordan told Kerr he'd have to take the last shot of Game 6 of the 1997 NBA Finals vs the Utah Jazz.

What a terrible way to end an interview, clearly Pippen was ready to go into detail about that play...a true joy for NBA fans. And they cut him off for commercial air time. Just a bad look for a network that’s “about” sports.

1:12 actually alot of ppl don't realize but there was a defender in between Kukoc and Kerr ready to guard whoever MJ passed to. MJ brought the ball up his left side and looked at Kukoc to fake the pass and get the defender to run towards Kukoc, then passed it to Kerr so he had more of an open shot. You gotta see it from a different angle though.

calling the bulls a superteam is an overexageration.... superteam means a team that was made by getting the franchise player of other teams by signing them or by trade... the late 90s rockets of hakeem, charles, and drexler is a superteam, lebron's miami is a superteam, the warriors with KD is a superteam, LA's lebron, westbrook, and AD is a superteam, LAs shaq, malone, payton, and kobe is a superteam, LAs kobe, nash, gasol, and dwight is a superteam.... bulls has mj and a bunch of really good role players.... pip is a 7ppg guy his rookie season and a 17 ppg in his career... that's not a franchise player in any team in the 80s or 90s... dennis was very good defender and rebounder but isiah and joe is the franchise player of the bad boys piston....

For one second I dont think scottie is unfazed. Though he took alot of beatings driving the ball to the hoop. To me Pippen will always be my favorite. Though Jordan took him to the limits after practices is what made scottie one of the 50 greats in the nba. Steve was kinda the cool silent cat who just played his role. He could ball too. Still pissed yall put my ATL hawks out the playoffs. One day we shall hoist that banner

The greatness of Michael Jordan.. Steve Kerr is known as one of the greatest spot-up shooters of all time yet in the biggest moment of the game and the series John Stockton left him wide open two double team MJ 20 feet from the basket after he already picked up his dribble. That's a level of fear LeBron does not invoke on his opponents.
