Rodman did it his way and I respect that very much because most people then and now are too worried about what other people think to live their lives to the fullest.....No doubt in my mind he was an integral part of those last 3 championships.
Rodman was 2nd best player on Bull's roster. He's super-human, stronger than Ben Wallace or LeBron (but not Wilt). There's a clip out there with Karl Malone falling down backwards with ball. Rodman latched onto the ball while Malone pulled back, landed on hardwood. Rodman pulled Malone up and flipped him over, slamming mailman back on the floor, dishing ball off for a fast-break. He could have been MVP in that Jazz series
@J B Just re-read your blather, realize you are stuck on stats, in need of another verbal beatdown. You can only see the four sides to the box you are in. Rodman was never a stat guy-other than 5 X NBA Champ and 6'7" rebound king for 7 straight years. He might be the best defender of all time-even if your top-100 guy Pippin earned some accolades for defense. Rodman was only about winning games in April, May, June and no player displayed more intangibles and funky hair than the dude with the piercings. Why else would Phil and GOAT let him run off to Vegas for a vacation during season and playoffs? Rodman was that good. He made an enormous difference in the win-loss column. He took opposing team's best big-men out of the game-got them kicked out! Maybe you weren't alive, watching NBA in the 80's-90's. Bummer! Or maybe you are thick, blind or resentful of guys who go against the grain, date women like Madonna and Carmen Electra. I was there, went to 20-25 games every year, sized up the best players in real life, stuck to NBA Playoffs every year like a magnet. You need to watch some film. Watch some Rodman playoff film on RUclips. Ask a smart person. You'll see. He was bank, clearly more valuable to the Bulls than either Pippin or Kukoc-maybe combined. Kinda' hard to like if you weren't rooting for his team. I was a Nuggets fan in Denver. Rodman played to win, was pure genius and strength, with springboard legs and tough as nails-even in his wedding dress. @@B_the_MOA Brandon very insightful comment......insightful in that it is clear you never saw Rodman in his prime. Perhaps you should educate yourself on the game beyond ESPN highlights.
Maybe one of the most overrated players ever. Rodman would have a hard time getting minutes in todays game...he would not have a job in the 60's.... could not shoot..could not pass...could not dribble
Rodman was mote like 6,6.5. Which is even more impressive that he can defend Shaq. and lead the league in rebounds many tunes. And yes, he eats Dratmond. if you look at MJ in Rodman only has about an inch in him.
Jordan never screamed “we are too heavy” in asking for “help”. Jordan went to battle with whatever he had. Jordan never “decided” he wanted to win a particular award in a season. Jordan wanted to do everything as hard as he could. None of this year I want to win the steals title etc. he wanted to dominate on offense and defense and to win. He is the most talented player on offense for all his teams so why wouldn’t he shoot the ball?

what people still dont understand is that Jordan did not just put up great stats, he inspired everyone on the league, he made every single player that has played with him, better at the game. he was a true leader of the whole NBA not just the Bulls or the Olympic Dream Team. he opened the gate for the new generation... Lebron has great stats even better than MJ and he also IS the greatest player of this generation but theres a big difference.... Lebron says he is the best player of all time, but the whole world says MJ is the best and when you've impacted the league to a point when people say that youre the GOAT without even you mentioning it well that is being the GOAT. Lebron is the champ but MJ is the peoples champ...
@Romeo J Incorrect, most people still vote MJ as the GOAT. Lots of the new talent who arrived long after MJ retired and never even played alongside him say he is the GOAT.
Callum S I think it would be higher. Few seem to play defense anymore. Way more shots are taken nowadays so he would have way more opportunities to score and he wasn’t that far 40 ppg with all sort of restrictions. Etc etc.
well... I would say that MJ would not need to shoot 3's like crazy because with his skills and today's lack of defense caused not only by softer rules but mostly because of lack of defensive skills of today's players he would actually do whatever he would want and no one could stop him, absolutely no one. Not to mention that he would possibly average like 20-30 free throws :P so a 40 points game would be probably a slow night :D
The Worm was one of my favorite players growing up. I was so happy when he went to the Bulls because I knew Jordan was the only guy who could keep him focused and keep him at his best. That being said, even with this clip being 3 years old, everything Dennis said about the guys in the league today still holds true. There is no loyalty. Damian Lillard is the exception to that cause he never wanted to leave Portland and go form super teams etc. He wanted to bring Portland a title and retire a Blazer, but in typical Portland fashion, they screwed up and traded him to the Bucks. Guys make tons of money, they don’t want to play, let alone play competitive. It’s all about shooting three pointers all game or sitting out cause you stubbed your toe the night before.
Micheal played against inferior undersized wing defenders when the nba ended the physical era and entered the u cant touch jordan era. And jordan got all the calls like no 1 ever. I watched it all
@@thebakersmancardgallery6431 lol. that is the funniest comment i have read all day. "..MJ played against unferior undersized wing defenders". People need to stop judging guys' on his appearance. Dennis is such a gentleman when he speaks. He also seems to be very composed and thoughtful when he answers questions.
"You ever gone on a date with a girl where you hate her guts but you can get that one thing out of her?" I don't think that's gentlemanly dude hahaha
Rodman is one in a Trillion, he is unique, he lives in his own world.
Dennis Rodman is AlfaDog he completely took control of the show he Achored it without the hosts knowing what just happened

Who dennise ? Ur sister or something ?
Cashh Washington hahahaha I'm a dork. Just when i think i say someting cool Im humbled
Umm his sisterinlaw?
Cashh Washington i corrected it
I think?
Gerald Montoya 😂 sorry bro ican be a asshole sometimes but yea u changed it
Rodman through them off their square when he ask them about the 80s Warriors vs today's Warriors. Lol. They knew nothing about it not even Steven A.
They didn't understand Rodman point of viem. That Warrior team of the 80 with Tim Hardaway, Mitch Ricmound and Chis Mullin was as good or even better that the present Warriors team and they didn't get to the finals.
@@RobertoHernandez-bz2hh bet you young folks are like Chris who?? Tim who?? Both dream team members
I LOVED that. They hadn't a clue what he was talking about ..... IMHO though as much as I loved them they wouldn't beat the modern KD-led team.
@@gdilla4452 Mitch was part of the '96 Dream Team. Mullin was part of the original '92 team.
I remember 80s Warriors. No joke and great question. That being said they wouldn’t be able handle the KD Warriors OR the 73 win warriors.
It's amazing how Dennis Rodman was right about Kawhi's move and these two "experts" weren't even close.
What a cool guy and unbelievable player. Love Dennis Rodman.
Dennis was prophetic about Kawhi, and the clippers, back then, it turned out to be true now
If anyone who watched the last dance KNEW that Dennis Rodman was an absolute workhorse!! To be able to separate his partying habits AND STILL put in 1000% in practice and in games was effing unreal!!! Only time he switched off was coz he didn't feel like playing... Absolute legend!!! Love you Worm!!!
He was a gifted defender. He was no workhorse. He was probably high half the time lol.
@@nathanadams8624 it’s not possible to be a truly great defender without being a workhorse
And, considering that we know MJ treated practice like Game 7 of the Finals, we can really start to see just how great that Bulls team was. The work ethic was insane-good
Rodman was a beast from opening tip-off to the final whistle! Never have seen a player with that much energy and drive for an entire game, every night.
Allen Iverson
@@markusonify yes A.I was energy on the court ,big heart, and a big scorer.
Kobe game spoke for itself he didn't need the media to promote him or hype him up to be something he not
they did constantly all the time and ignored the countless games he sunk with selfish, awful, inefficient performances.
Lol the media doesn’t promote Lebron to be something he’s not. His game created that buzz.
Calm Down Kobe selfish? You never watch Kobe in your life lebron is the most selfish player and the most overrated player of all time lebron is barely top 11 and Kobe got no help lebron got all the help he need but still lost lebron complaining about his teammate Kobe got no help is full of bums Kobe was only good player there he carried the whole team and got a little help with Pau who Not even a top 50 players and won two more championship lebron is very selfish player and most ungrateful player so go basketball kiddo Kobe prove he the top 2 of all time lebron is barely top 11
@@dbz4735 you're just ignorant. Lebron is 3x the player Kobe was. It has been and always will be Lebron or MJ 1 or 2. Kobe doesn't kiss Lebrons knees. Kobe is probably the most unclutch superstar of all time....what was his shooting percentage in the final 5 seconds of a one possession game? Like 28%
mar kyp leflop is overhype by the media
Such a humble dude! he never tries to make it all about him or even all about the bulls.
Dennis i respect you EVEN more after this interview, in my opinion your the GOAT defensive player , which played a huge contribution to the bull's offense game ! amen brother !
Forget MJ Rodman guarding Lebron would have been must see TV .
Rodman would have shut james down easily. He was charged with guarding the best player most games. Look at what he did against Magic and Magic is a better player than james.
mark c no doubt he would have another performance under 10 points against a prime Rodman in that era. In this cupcake era LeBron would probably get 15-20 just based on mostly free throws
If Kawhi can’t guard LBJ then I doubt Dennis Rodman could’ve. Don’t say that “it was tougher in the 90s” without realizing that LBJ would’ve been tougher because it was the 90s. And even still, NO ONE is stopping LBJ. Get off his **** and watch more than highlights and nostalgic images in your brains you old bastards
@@B_the_MOA Brandon very insightful comment......insightful in that it is clear you never saw Rodman in his prime. Perhaps you should educate yourself on the game beyond ESPN highlights.
Brandon Bowen and Rodman was able to lock down shaq. A 300 plus pounder. That’s incredibly ignorant
Dennis Rodman is the most underrated player in NBA history.
He is not underrated. Everybody has mad respect for what he did during his career. Players, coaches, everybody has respect for his game..
No, he’s not
And draymond green the most overrated😂
John Stockton is
Maybe one of the most overrated players ever. Rodman would have a hard time getting minutes in todays game...he would not have a job in the 60's.... could not shoot..could not pass...could not dribble
Against 7 footers rodman averaged 14 rpg. And hes only 6'8 and draymond green guy is at 6'6 at best. He will OWN mr. Triple single big time.
roberto blackman thy both the same height if not draymond 6’9
Whodatt nah draymond is listed at 6’ 6”, maybe 6’ 7” tops
Rodman was mote like 6,6.5. Which is even more impressive that he can defend Shaq. and lead the league in rebounds many tunes. And yes, he eats Dratmond. if you look at MJ in Rodman only has about an inch in him.
roberto blackman still 5 time with semi finals MVP just like Dennis rod man..remember it’s not the size of the dog it’s the size of the fight
Dennis height is 6ft 7in.
Rodman grew up. Dropping wisdom on us. 👍
Im so glad Dennis is still around!
I like how Rodman brought the money perspective that I never heard discussed by experts before.
Rodman is entertaining... "you ever go on a date with a girl and you hate her guts, but she can satisfy you in one way?" L O L with that girl sitting right beside him. he's such a savage.
It was like he was talking about her 😂😂😂
Yup. That part had me cracking
You just know Molly was seething inside
11:50 might be one of the greatest exchanges in television history.
We were so excited when we found out Dennis was coming to the Chicago Bulls. We knew he was the missing piece. I saw him at a club one night and he was throwing money out to everyone. So much fun back in the day.
Mike could have 10 or 12 Championships if he did what Lebron has done by move to any team that is stacked with Talent.. Mike did what he did with one team, Michael Jordan was an always will be the greatest Basketball Player of all time! Hey, I hope to see another player that can not only fly but is basically unstoppable from anywhere on the court in my life time.. I'm so blessed to be able to say I got to watch Michael Jordan play the game in his prime!
Dennis rodman was and is one of my favorites players to watch
That is why MJ number 23 is represent as 23peat Championship. Awesome MJ and team Bulls
@sealof theliving yo the true reason was that michaels brother wore a 45 and michael though he was half the player compared to his brother larry however 22.5 isnt available so he took 23
Dennis was right about the late 80's/early 90's Warriors. That's how stacked the West was.
lol green isnt even in the same breath as Rodman lol green is nice i like his game but no Dennis
3:18 Dennis hits the nail on the head.
Right at 7:18 I have to say Dennis Rodman creates the “The Step Back 3”...all jokes aside, Dennis was great to watch during my Pistons Era, very Slept’On intelligence, humanity, and engagement with his interviews....He’s captivating, check out his interview on Mike Tyson’s podcast Hotboxing
MJ might be the goat of the game, but Dennis was undoubtedly the most unique player who ever played in the NBA.
I laughed so hard when steve went on a rant and dennis zone out and was like wake me up when you're done lol
This sums up Stephen, A fool finds no satisfaction in trying to understand,
for he would rather express his own opinion.
Why do you discuss the goat.👍 MJ all day.
Don't sleep on the 80s showtime lakers
Steve Kerr is the goat
LeBron, force of nature.
Jordan was nature.

@@panocasabe8227 nice of you to come out of the closet but stick to the point.
FACTS
Jordan is one of the Element : AIR
The greatest defensive player of all time ought to know who would average 50 per game.
@rubbersole the comment I was looking for.
what people still dont understand is that Jordan did not just put up great stats, he inspired everyone on the league, he made every single player that has played with him, better at the game. he was a true leader of the whole NBA not just the Bulls or the Olympic Dream Team. he opened the gate for the new generation...
@Romeo J
No kid.
MJ is the GOAT.
This is so interesting to watch during the playoffs in 2021
RODMAN wearing sunglasses cause of Molly !
That’s a BAR low key and a double entendre 👌🏾
Lol. Brighter than a mfer lol
Damari Moland Indeed Don Demarco!

Looking back at it, Rodman's comments on the clippers were legitimately truth
This guy could guard anybody..centers forwards guards.any powerful player at any erA
Guys like Rodman pave the way for these young guys. Rodman one of the greatest of all time.
Love Mr. Redman as a real person as a man for sharing his truth about what you let people say to you about your life God bless him Linda j.peace
Max Kellermann's face @11:52 is how we all reacted. The level of honestly. Love it!
Micheal Jordan without hand checking and getting body slammed to the ground after a lay up would average atleast 40 let’s be honest
Callum S I think it would be higher. Few seem to play defense anymore. Way more shots are taken nowadays so he would have way more opportunities to score and he wasn’t that far 40 ppg with all sort of restrictions. Etc etc.
Gin-Nius actually they take less shots today the games pace is slower than Jordan’s season high
@@kingmusa8618 ummmmm.....say what?!!
And mj can do 5 step layup like lbj, or 3 step step back like jh
Dennis Rodman has the greatest resume to life!
It's cute seeing how Rodman talks to them like they are children 🤭 especially with S.
It’s all about shooting three pointers all game or sitting out cause you stubbed your toe the night before.
y is this a topic??? thanks Rodman for posing the question to these people.
Rodman speaks truth. Soft players these days. So right why even discuss.
Stop it! Jordan’s the best when you know everything. Lebrons the best when you don’t know anything else.
True dat!!!!!
Wilt Chamberlain is the best
Micheal played against inferior undersized wing defenders when the nba ended the physical era and entered the u cant touch jordan era. And jordan got all the calls like no 1 ever. I watched it all
@@thebakersmancardgallery6431 lol. that is the funniest comment i have read all day. "..MJ played against unferior undersized wing defenders". It is a fact that the 80s and 90s were the toughest biggest teams- they allowed hand checking, lebron wouldnt survive.
"...and jordan got all the calls like no one ever". You do realize that Lebron is barely averaging 1 foul a game throughout his career and plays 37 mins a game?! lol. Like i said, facts rule. Lebron needs all the calls he can get in this soft league. He is a peon compared to Jordan.
Agree completely......Well said.
Did Dennis just call AI “Ivan Iverson”? 6:30 😂 All seriousness though, Rodman was one of my all time favorite players because he played the game with such heart & intensity. I hope everyone watching this video sees that he’s very knowledgeable about the game as well, he wasn’t a sideshow, he was a great player.
