Good news is that when this train got stuck in Kings Park yesterday, it’s running again, but has a new engine. It went from 407, which had the problem, and it’s now 421.
@@paulmartin5642 I've heard Amtrak will be using a setup where there's a second power car that will be battery powered for getting into/out of Penn rather than a 3rd rail dual mode. Will also act as an extra power reserve for acceleration that they can charge while cruising and under dynamic braking. And have heard the 2nd power car solution will be used for the NEC trains as well, with a pantograph instead of batteries, which should give the NEC Chargers the equivalent of 2 locos when on the wire.
Great footage as always. I feel the pain of waiting forever for something cool, especially if said cool thing isn't that long.
Pretty amazing action right here, also i believe the rescue was on the radar i checked but really rare catch and nice to see my favorite mp15ac
Great footage!
