I really like the dm30ac when I used to live in ny and when I go back I always love riding that one because it has a really comfy orange ride and cushy seats also I like how it’s a double decker because sitting on top always gets you great views
DE30ACs are diesel only so they cant go in NY Penn station. DM30ACs are dual mode which means they can run in diesel and electric mode. They run on third rail when in NYP. How to know which is which is by looking at the numbers. Engines with 400 are DE30ACs, Engines with 500 are DM30ACs
Amazing, great sounds the M3's are making as they are departing the station.
That's actually the grinded rail. Every train through the station makes that sound and will continue to do so until the rail wears down.
@@FanRailer i aint from the us but our trains also make that sound but the trains that did i think are retired
Awesome video! I was at Mineola when you were filming this. I'm the guy in the black shirt at 6:47 walking up the platform
Jon The Trainmaster lol
Your Soo LUCKY
At 13:25 love the sound of the horn as the train passes
I love LIRR! Bilevel cars like cars in Sydney commuter rail!
Loco 421 has an amazing horn! Great video again!

Thanks for the LIRR video! Well done.
I'm planning to travel the whole LIRR Main Line, and I hope I'll be on the M3s to/from Ronkonkoma
That is a nice station. Those EMUs like at 5:50 sound rather like a German ICE3 when they're stopping & starting. If a bit slower, probably.
That EMU would be an M7, a common site all over Long Island. I've been on the ICE3 as well. I love the sounds that both of them make.
0:33 I rode that M3 #9871 from Ronkonkoma to Penn Station
interessantes Eisenbahnvideo, Danke, Thank You
I love the sound of those M7s

0:05 why don't that train stop
Cuz the schedule on that train doesn’t stop at that station
Why did the m3s sounded like their grinding rails were mimicking old electric train motors
The top of the lirr train is the best part first time seeing it and I'm from mineola new york
1:00 go, go, go, Gotta Go fast! (That to woman running)
1:10 that is a different bell lol
umm no thats a normal bell
great video
Is this train in Mineola, TX?
No.
What's the best time to catch the high speed pass bys (Not the ones that actually stop)
Lirr is a New York’s good line from New York and outside New York
Why does the rolling sound like bees buzzing??
is there a certain horn pattern for when passing crossings?
Yes. Long Long Short Long
How come the Diesel engines don’t use the third rail when they’re on third rail territory? I thought they were able to switch from electric to diesel?
I believe it's because either they're limited to a certain speed when running under DC power or that they'd use too much electricity.
There is no such limitation to my knowledge.
Fan Railer Interesting. I had the MNRR's P32's on my mind lol
Because this diesel trains are coming out of third rail territory
请问法拉盛哪里可以搭乘地铁到长岛?缅街是去长岛的火车。
What's the difference between a de30ac and a dm30ac?
I believe the DM30AC can run on third rail as well as diesel, to allow it to use Penn Station.
DE30ACs are diesel only so they cant go in NY Penn station. DM30ACs are dual mode which means they can run in diesel and electric mode. They run on third rail when in NYP.

LIRR ❤
