Yes it does take a toll
I think the operator has more to do with how the machine functions than the machine. Yes I know some skid steer are junk, but come on you are the DIRT BOSS. NICE WORK.
💯 💪🏼 thanks bud
Excellent video Boss! That’s quite the job and you are killing it! 💪🏻 I’m gladly take that challenge 😁 the kubota is basically Takeuchi s little cousin so you would rather love a TL12R2. I’ll see if I can get you a demo setup. Maybe I can show up and run on those hills with you! 👍🏻👊🏼 Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy, Happy to you guys with HUGS for all!
That would be awesome!! 💪🏼 Happy Thanksgiving brother
@@DIRT-BOSS I’ll make a call tomorrow 👍🏻
I’ll take that challenge😂. Might take me a while to find some mud. All we have a sand out here!
@@DirtBrute Wait frozen mud-shale mixed with water-snow & on a steep slope twisting and turning with a full bucket! 😂💯🏆💯
Dirt Boss, you are very conscientious with your digging and placement of stone, it is fun to watch, I love the site there in the mountains.

That Kabota skid loader it’s an awesome machine.💪🏻 I have rented several of them and have never been disappointed. Have a happy Thanksgiving Mike 👍🏻

Yes you too buddy!
Your a savage!! Nice work🤙🏼
Thanks buddy
Hope you had a nice thanksgiving. Saw your comment on Diesel Creek’s site.
Thanks buddy
Watching this, all I can think of is the houses in California that slid down the hills when the rains come after the fires. Bur I have to say the view is absolutely spectacular.
Yes but this one's getting pinned to bedrock out there different story
Happy Thanksgiving bud, awesome work, that site is keeping you on your toes, good video mike, thanks for sharing 💪💪🇺🇸🇺🇸
It sure does Thanks buddy
He's keeping all of us on our toes and edge of the seat!
Happy Thanksgiving.. I always thought Kubota were great. Good video.
Well now you know!
That for sure was sketchy!!
Be careful Dirt Boss
Happy thanksgiving
Good video👍
Yeah That road only held up for about four passes then I could hardly get back up
Happy Thanksgiving.nice job
Thanks Bud
Happy Thanksgiving to y'all & Family
Thank you
Same way here in Northern Maine. Ground is pretty frozen right now. Suppose to get 7 inches of snow tomorrow afternoon.
Yeah i hate winter
I want to see you doing that with a rubber tire skid steer. It looks really good and amazing that you got it in there with all the mud.
Never happen
Awesome 👍👍
Thanks
@@DIRT-BOSS 👍👍
Like that bucket! Will be interested to see how Tak sticks up. I’m looking to buy one at some point so it will nice to see a comparison. Hope you had a good Thanksgiving!
It definitely is the hot setup
Hope u and ur family had a good Thanksgiving and u be safe and be careful
We did thanks
I’ve got a Deere that has great pushing power a neighbor has a kubota seems to have lots of lift capacity
Thanks for sharing
Awesome to know!
I’d be scared to live in that house on that slope with a river running underneath it lol
At first it definitely was an issue but we got it covered it's safe
💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Yeah buddy
thats one hell of a site mike! mice work as always
It sure is now we're covered in snow!!
Boss some cold may work in your favor with the soft ground . Happy Thanksgiving!
Just a little
You keep it up there we will have to move you to the Rocky Mountians for some crazy fun and work. Have you considered installing ski lifts, radio, television and radar installations. What fun.
That always fascinated me I definitely would do it!
Happy Thanksgiving
You too
The pucker factor is high with this one
Yes indeed
Hey Mike 👋 happy Thanksgiving buddy. I would do the track loader test. I have bobcat t870. Let me know. Me and my boys live watching your videos
💯
Did this ever happen? First person to mention bobcat that I seen 🙌🙌. Bobcat is my brand aswell. Just a non electric joystick machine.
We just got a new case tv450b not sure how good it is but I always liked case
Nice
Presenting - "DIRT BOSS" w/Sound Effects! Such a 'showoff'! The only way for a fair challenge is the competition SHOW UP on THAT SITE "with you"! Heya, PLEASE don't say BOOM BOOM BOOM while working on the side of this cliff, ya know? (Then he adds the 'sound effects' of yelling with a full bucket of stone) - GOTTA LOVE THIS GUY! Lookin 'sweet' from here now go eat a DRUMSTICK and have a "HAPPY" all of YOU!
Lol Thanks buddy You have a great Thanksgiving too Yes Andrew could bring his machine on my site anytime !
Kubota strong 💪
Yes sir 💪🏼🏆💪🏼
Dirt Boss, what happen to your help? That view on that job site is amazing. Enjoy the videos from Ohio. Tim
Help comes and goes.. but one thing's for sure with Mr Kobelco and Mr Kubota I really don't need help
I remember well my father building a house in South Jewett , Looking onto Hunter Mountain . The red soil and flat rock was the worst, All clay with springs of water flowing most of the year. Henery Van Horn was the excavator. Hunter mountain rented there crane for a day or two.
Yes I herd Henry does a lot of work down here
@@jamesfeeney7903 I saw that too but decided it isn’t a legal problem as the owners’ name will be on the building permit, grand list, etc. All of these are public record … but blurring is also easy ….
@@qcan8468 Agree , removing my comments now.
You need some snow, a hurricane, a tornado, and a pissed off Karen to make that job site a little more challenging for ya Boss. Be safe and have a happy Thanksgiving sir.
Tell me about it
lol
I demoed a kubota SL95 definitely didn’t impress me. I’m running 7 Deers 4-331 and 3-333’s. The kubota just couldn’t hang with the deer’s
Really Good to know Thanks for the input
Happy Thanksgiving! New subscriber but based on your accent I'd say you're not too far from Jersey. Just finished grading my own sawft sawggy yahd with a Kubota in 732👌🏼👍🏼
Yes indeed Albany NY
@@DIRT-BOSS Tri-state 💪🏼
Welcome aboard where you won't be board! Happy Holidays!
Oh jeeze…check engine light on in the Cummins…it’s always something 🤦🏻♂️ hopefully nothing too costly. My duramax was just in limp mode for a month all over a sensor for the exhaust that they couldn’t find due to shortage / back order. Great work as always Mike and Happy Thanksgiving!
Yeah my RAM turbo actuator went a couple months ago I've been running half turbo spool for a while now 😂
You should try a New Holland C345, total beast! Tip of the spear, go try one out.
I'm sure it's a good piece
Around here they use rock shooter conveyors on dump trucks for stuff like that and filling normal foundations. That would be perfect like you said for this one! Nice video as always!
Not sure if @dirtperfect would agree whole heartedly with ya on the kubota love from his recent vids.
No complaints with the Kubota here yeah slinger trucks were a thing here for a little bit but nobody's got to know more besides it would cost about 30k to fill what we got to fill w a slinger
Happy Thanksgiving.. But case skid steers are excellent.. But I don't know..
To each its own they all make good products to a point
Ive had a few different models and makes .... Ive always been a #deereman4life .... I have respect for the Kubota dont get me wrong .... Some steep work ya got there! We are in WV and currently working in the coal fields of the appalachain mountains building roads for BH Energy .... Good looking work my friend!
Thanks buddy yeah Just having fun trying to get some feathers ruffled
@@DIRT-BOSS some people have thin skin
Had a guy call me out because I was bashing CASE equipment 🤣 told him I didn’t just run the stuff I owned it an that gave me more than enough authority to voice my opinion!
👍🏻
Thanks
Happy thanksgiving MIKE. ! Place I buy fill from has a stone slinger truck . Looks like a sander body with a conveyor on the back. He can speed the belt up and throw it far With precision all from a remote control! Would be cool to have but it’s pricey. Good job !
I know I looked into it already a local company had two of them but they said they sold them 5 years ago! When I bid the job I said I was going to use the slinger truck I thought they still had them
@@DIRT-BOSS yeah the guy here Uses it for septic laterals
@@DirtBrute That's cheating 😂
@@DIRT-BOSS 😂😂
What a horrible lot you are having to deal with. Good job!
It's growing on me
Did you get the optional mountain goat pack on that Kubota, or is there just a loose nut behind the controls?
😂🐐 for sure
Sorry Mike. Your Kubota, nor any other rigid-suspension, narrow-tracked machine could compete with an ASV or ##7 series Cat in the conditions under which you issued your challenge. Wish I had one to prove that but I only have a Takeuchi and presently I'm still waiting for the tracks to come off. Keep up the great work Mike!
Lol I hear you that's what I want to hear get some feathers ruffled I want everybody's opinion!!
I'll take my asv in those conditions. She loves mud and muck
Nice
Man, that is some pucker factor working that edge right there. I am having a hard time seeing how they are going to backfill and finish down on the low side of that hole. Once all the piers are in, no machines can move around down there; Dingo size machine?
It's going to be tricky but stay tuned
Hell yeah man ….you are definitely the dirt boss!
I bet Mumbles, the head scratcher would never get through a project like this. Hell, he makes running a dozer on mostly flat land sound like big time bc it’s a little wet. I am blown away at how much you had to juggle on this project (stockpiling and mixing shale) as well as moving the wet stuff (slop). FYI - I come back and watch this again after watching crybabies whine about a little mud.
Lol thanks Man 💪🏼
Your plan may have been sketchy....... you made it work for you !! 🤓
We don't place stone in the bottom of the footings, just dig out, steel in on chairs or pieces of brick and concrete the foundations. I presume this is part of your building regs....
Only way to stop the bankside caving in is to pour the walls and backfill with stone, you can't stop the water moving through..... you are good, just not quite that good to stop water in its tracks !!!! 😉🇬🇧
I hear you man.. normally our footings are on dirt too but I had a dig down to get to the virgin ground then come back to the elevation with the stone
Water☹️ Nice job Mike, what a maze/ puzzle to put together!! Tell the boys to move there butts and start pouring concrete 😂 Happy thanksgiving to you and your family 🦃👍🇺🇸
Thanks buddy You too
Does it looks worse on camera than in real life?? Usually it's the other way around. Wow... you were walking the slippery Kubota tight rope there.
Always never looks as steep on camera
Awesome job I'll take my takeuchi over kubota for one reason the ac will barely keep up in the summer on kubota takeuchi will freeze you out
Good to know!
i have KUBOTAS TOO !! NUMBER 1 !!!! ALL DAY ALL NIGHT !!!!
Yeah buddy you know it 💪🏼🏆💪🏼
Glad for you Dirt Boss this is not a lump sum job; how could anyone with a brain, bid a job like this lump sum. Just wait a short while , after the economy crashes dirt contractors will be lining up to bid this type of project lump sum. Be careful Dirt Boss equipment payments have put many dirt contractors out of business, would like you to stick around; enjoy your videos. Merry Christmas.
I hear you Thanks buddy
Leave your, wheeled skidsteers,TLB's,Tractors,in the shed. This is where the trackloader shines.Start your seasons early and end them late on tracks.OH,by the way, takeuchi makes a hell of a machine, the only reason you see them popping tracks is improper tension or undercarriage maint.I am Pro KUBOTA,with vids to prove.
You got that right I would never own a wheeled skid steer ever again
What Brand of Tilt attachment are you running on your Kubota?
Paladin
Boss, I couldn’t tell from your comments… but, are you kind of fond of that Kubota???
I, for one, am tickled pink with my orange baby backhoe. It does what I need… every time… with comfort and competency. Several people have told me that I should have gone with the green competitor. But, I weaned from green years ago… and don’t regret it one bit!
Have a blessed Thanksgiving!!
Yes indeed I think Kubota is a stout piece of equipment! Very comfortable to operate and quiet which is key some other manufacturers you got to wear earplugs just to run the machine
Here’s a genuine question: once you had the skid loader down there, why didn’t you load it from the top with the excavator..then move it where you needed it?
We will do that once the footings are in but where I had a bail it would have never made it from Garage and That was already graded..
Been ruff job so far huh
Yeah good thing it's time and material definitely not a conventional dig
Are you OK; it has been many days since you posted, some thing wrong?
Working every day and I post stories quite daily Instagram quite often also tick tock Got to stay up on it Bob
Way too much dirt on the job nowhere to stack it makes for a hard job site nice job looks good that trackloader is working out.keep on working your going to get it 👍🤞😳
Tell me about it I also already hauled off 21 trucks
Someone probably dumped it from another lot in the subdivision.now you have to deal with it 🤣
what brand of tilt bucket you running?
Paladin

It's all engineered and stamped for this site plan.. this is not a conventional dig or foundation
I really like your content dirt boss but that Takeuchi comment, I just can’t take it…..UNSUBSCRIBED. LOL JK, the kubota is nice I like my Tak tho. Granted I’ve never operated it in conditions quite like this.
Hey man they're all good Just having fun
@@DIRT-BOSS I agree, but anything with a roll up door might be just slightly better 😉
