@@89thaharmaiiioptreshenanig3 I remember when I played the Gamecube version, I was mad knowing that her RE3 outfit was the final costume that unlocks after beating the game 3 times. After getting it, I played around for a bit but never finished the playthrough a fourth time.
I finally went through the whole game with the outfit in the ps4 version, only to find out later that they slightly censored her costume by extending her skirt :(. I'll eventually have to go back to the Gamecube version lol.
Paulo Penado I didn’t know that the length was extended but in certain sections we get some great shots for “research” 😏 notably the Jill Sandwich cutscene gives us some upskirt shots. And I’ve only played the PS4 version for reference. My friend unlocked the outfit so I could do my first RE play through with Jill wearing the RE 3 outfit

I honestly hope that if they do another time skip, edging closer to rendering classic protagonists like Chris and Leon almost too old to be the main character, that they bring back Moira Burton as a character more able to fend for herself and capable of taking a leading role.

So glad I'm not the only person to have enjoyed playing RE2. I played co-op with my older brother, who I don't get to see very often. Military stuff. I was stuck as the characters with no guns and very little means of defending themselves. The most tense (and favorite) scene for me was when me (Moira) got stuck in the meat chute thing, and zombies were coming up from the grounded meat and all I could do was smack them with a crowbar, cry, scream at my brother to crank faster, and panic.
If you go up to the bed in Lisa's Cabin you can actually see her enter the cabin. So more than just the SFX c:

6:06 I'm fascinated because, as someone who had played Chris's campaign multiple times before I ever started trying playing as Jill in the original RE (actually, in the remake), I found myself somehow frustrated by the excessive easiness of Jill's scenario in comparison to Chris"s. I thought having Barry helping you on several occasions, plus having more powerful weapons, plus advantageous situations (like being saved by Barry when the ceiling is about to turn you into a sanswich, or not having to fight the zombie in the bathtub by yourself as Jill kills him in the cutscene) took away a big deal of the horror and fear of my experience. You feel less alone in front of the horrors of Spenser Mansion, because of moments in which Barry is here to support you. I felt too "protected" if that makes sense, compared to what I felt with Chris. The worst example for me was the fact you can actually avoid killing the first zombie just by walking away and get back to the living room, then Barry takes care of it for you. I'm aware this is 100% due to the fact I had played Chris's version first several times, but I've never been able to find Jill's counterpart scary (and therefore enjoyable) because of that. It takes away a big deal of the horror to me. So I'm always fascinated by the experience of players who mostly played as Jill in this game.

I've never liked Ada Wong. I guess the whole "cryptic and mysterious" thing always just annoyed me more than anything else. I kind of want to like her because she looks really good but she's more annoying than Ashley. I also really like Leon but he's really quite stupid when it comes to Ada. Oh well.

Top 3 Husbandboos of Resident Evil:
#1: Chris Redfield. An iconic character of the Resident Evil/Biohazard Series, who's an absolute badass. Has a godlike pistol that pretty much kills everything in one hit.
#2: Albert Wesker. A crazy, power hungry mother fucker who is one of the main antagonists of the whole RE/BH series, and is also revered as one of the most loved characters, as well. He turns himself into a mutant by the end of his time in the series. Has a mutant arm... That's about it.
#3: Joe Baker. A crazy son of a bitch bayou man who goes through hell in order to save his niece from the E-Virus. He fights with nothing but spears, trp bombs, and his FUCKING FISTS. Has some insane bayou-man martial arts skills, and also gets an Umbrella Corp Branded Power Gauntlet that absolutely anihilates his brother who was turned into a braindead super mutant with rapid cellular regeneration. Still can't wrestle gators.
I don't consider RE7 a true Resident Evil game because it doesn't feel like Resident Evil. It feels like more like Outlast at this point.
(That said, the DLC did bring a lot of that campiness back with End of Zoe, I will admit that. A Hilly Billy boxer punching zombies with a robo fist is definitely Resident Evil.)
The reason I love Resident Evil isn't for the survival horror, but because of the campiness. Resident Evil, for all intent and purposes, is that B-movie zombie franchise you saw on Sci-fi that one time turned into a video game. Also, awesome monster design, which Resident Evil 7 really didn't have. (Bye, Bye Lickers, Tyrants, giant WTF monsters, I guess we have to stick with more black ooze creatures.)
Resident evil isn't really meant to be serious. The backstory of RE 2 pretty much sums up what the heart of the franchise should be. When Leon got to Raccoon City, not only was it his first day on the job, he was also hungover. I think that's hilarious.
The problem with Resident Evil 6 and 5 wasn't that they were too campy, or that they didn't feel like Resident Evil. The problem was they moved the franchise more towards a third person action game.
Not that it was bad, I actually really liked RE 6. The Gameplay was fucking awesome, the graphics were nice, the story was pretty good as far as Resident Evil goes, and it was wacky as all hell.
What scared me though, is the direction that type of game was taking the series in. More and more it became easier to see that Resident Evil was becoming more like say, Uncharted than Resident Evil 4 or even the Revelation Games (I feel 4, Rev1 and Rev2 had a perfect blend of the survival horror meets action shooter gameplay).
In short Resident Evil is just in a really weird place. It was never totally survival horror like Silent Hill, for example, it was like that B-movie sci-fi film with the campy acting.
Resident Evil 6 became a big budget blockbuster remake, which while fun, felt kind of disjointed.
Resident Evil 7 is like a super serious gritty found footage remake of the First Game, with a quick cameo of a character everybody actually cares about at the end of the movie.
