In my playthrough leon after kicking grandma will always say "Must have been slipped" idk why but it always funny for me. Also hate those grandma (s) they are just so annoying in remake. Half of time they were the reason I got injured.
You ever climb up and down a ladder? It's not that easy, especially rickety ones. She is some super sheltered rich girl and they're on a hurry. It makes perfect sense to just have her skip any learning shenanigans and accidents by jumping down and getting caught.
No one is talking about how after being kidnapped, injected with a parasite, nearly killed multiple times, and almost being forced to kill some, ashley at the end still says that she's do that again with leon. True ride or die right there.
Which is why Ashley replacing Helena would be more impactful in re6. Ashley could be her own father's secret service, giving her motivation to take out Simmons.

The original + the HD project mod is still the best way to experience the game, the Remake is full of censorship, content has been cut, crappy design for some characters and bosses, lacks dialogue character from the original writing, the new dub sucks ass.

LOL imagine not clearing out all the regenerados from their tanks / bags BEFORE they activate. You can always see them, active or not, with the bioscope. Even if they're in a bag. Very useful for other sections of the game. I don't understand people saying they found them difficult. They were WAY harder in the original when you had tank controls and couldn't just parry everything... plus with the upgraded bolt action, you can just shoot clean through them and take out all the parasites in a few shots.

Every time a game like this comes out I watch the first one or two episodes of someone else’s playthrough, fall behind, see there on part 10 and every episode is 1-2 hours, say to myself “ahhh forget it, maus will probably play this and I can watch his nice condensed skillfully edited little package instead of wasting 24+ hours of my time”

I completely agree, I found her performance very robotic and nothing at all like the previous actor's work. Harassing someone for botching a voice acting gig is completely absurd and they never should've done so.
She wasnt harassed for her performance, she was criticized. Then she went on a rant because she couldnt take the criticism, said the precious VA found success and people accepted them because they are white, then she got harassed, deleted every photo except a shtty paragraph one about white privilege which doesnt even correlate to any of her points she accused the previous VAs of.
I hate the fact that in order to deflect blame for her poor performance, they just resort to generalize criticisms into "Harassments" and call you a racist or a bigot or some dumb shit like that.

However it's also a general consensus that nobody deserves to be harassed on Twitter over it. That's real shitty. People shouldn't blame the actress, she didn't cast herself. Someone on the Capcom hiring panel had to have thought "This voice is PERFECT, fans will love this!" and boy, was their intuition off. But to be honest a lot of the voice casting was a downgrade compared to the original. Aside from Ashley and Luis, almost everyone else ranges from dialed-in (Leon, Hunnigan, Saddler, Wesker) to "wtf were they thinking" (Krauser, Mike, Ada). Nobody wants hokey PS1 RE1 voice acting to return, but boy, REmake4 seemed pretty joyless in the voiceover department. But overall it's a good action-horror game that anyone who likes RE should play.
