I think, and this is a maybe but still, it's because he thought that if Ethan knew about the fake Mia, he would fight to go with Chris, or somehow find a way to go and try to save Mia. just my personal thoughts.

I mean... have you seen the baby monster? It has a vertically elongated mouth that flaps around. The plants around the house cause hallucinations, so the monster baby is probably made of Ethan's traumas. My personal theory is that the mouth of the monster baby symbolized what happened to Mia's privates after the baby was born.
I love how Chris's section on Normal makes him seem OP as hell, but on Village of Shadows his section is the hardest part, especially if you've been running around one-shotting everything with Ethan's STAKE

Also Vampire Momma ;) Dollmakers House: Not really a boss fight but still the scariest part. Moreau: Feel bad for the guy but definitely the most lackluster part. Heisenberg: The most likable badguy with a dope lair. The twist with Ethan dying and coming back, playing as Chris, ties into the rest of the RE universe all of it's just so good. Ethan definitely deserves father of the century award.

While I agree with most of what you're saying. I'm struggling to see the sweet cut? Jack punches and it just cuts from black back to the game? That's less than a couple minutes of editing.

Sure, it's simple, but the motion of the camera after the cut is following the motion of the fist and it is incredibly pleasing to me. Simple doesn't automatically mean bad and complex doesn't mean good, to me at least. Also, editing is an art, it is subjective, maybe that particular cut does nothing for you, but I sure appreciated it!
Editing has always been a strong point with his videos, especially the sound, the best jokes are when the last word of the dirty joke is cut just short enough

Was listening to My Only Chance on Spotify just now, as I do quite often because I love the song. And I got to thinking, when did I start listening to this song? So I went to my liked songs, saw it was liked on December 5th, 2021. I knew I got the song from a video during the vampire resident evil 8 boss fight. So I went to youtube, and looked at my watch and search history, filtered by the date December 5th, 2021. Found this video and thought: "That's it."
