Josh Downs is awesome. He’s quicker than he is fast. Won’t kill you with long speed, but sudden movement gets him open against man coverage. Strong hands and catches with them. Knows how to work in zone defenses. Finds open spots and sits down, doesn’t run himself into coverage. I think he can have a long and successful career as long as he can avoid too much contact with linebackers twice his size. Hopefully Pittman and Downs are the dynamic duo we’ve been eagerly looking for since Harrison-Wayne.
You can’t just leave out TY Hilton n Pierre Garçon n The TY n Wayne even though Wayne wasn’t the old Wayne-Harrison days but he still was productive cause of Luck was throwing him the ball but I agree with you I don’t think Downs n Pittman could be the next Wayne-Harrison duos Colts history

It kills me how there were games that Gardner just didn't look his way at all. He was wide open nearly every single game he played.
Same thing could be said all season for Pierce.
@@Edtirado3 Unfortunately true. Pierce got unjustly lambasted by fans, but if folks watched the All 22 tape he was getting open *so* often for EASY TDs.

He has such a good feel for sitting down in zone coverage. Combined with his quick twitch makes him an excellent slot WR he is going to make a huge jump this upcoming season.

For real. The fact that he slid to us in the third is insane. Some people had him as a late first, most had him as an early second. He is a big reason that Drake Maye is going to be a top 5 pick.. He was pretty much half of NC's offense 2 years ago.

With Pittman, Downs, and Mitchell, the Colts will have the best receiving corps they’ve had in years, while having retained Jonathan Taylor, bolstering the pass rush and O line during the draft. The Colts are looking to COMPETE in a young and tough AFC South.
