While your intentions were good, in the future DO NOT do that. It's likely it had just fallen from it's nest. When this happens the parents still feed and care for the baby. If it doesn't have feathers, put it back in the nest if possible. If it is feathered, it is a fledgling and should be left alone. I hate to break it to you, but the bird might've lived if you hadn't messed with it. Also, in North America, handling or bring birds home is illegal without the proper specifications.

After the vet injected him I could see the glare in his eyes dissapear and his eyes went to a milky white. I've seen it in humans before so I knew he was gone before checking his breathing. Another rat that had just died I simply refused to let go and carried her around the house crying for an hour, while the vet and my mom watched. They had to force me to let her go. It had been the second one in two weeks I had to watch dieing, it was just too much. Rats sometimes get sick and deteriorate verry fast, once they pass the magical age of 1.5 to 2 years. ...
Know that cats usually prefer to go far from home to die alone. So it's a honor your cat made you to die next to you :) He/she must've loved you very much

The girl treasures it and will always remember her creature. Fin. AND THAT'S THE STORY!
Man, this is a very beautifully made piece! While the fluidity of the animation itself may need a bit of tweaking, everything else stands out and shines tenfold! You really know how to tell and draw a story up! Please keep up this great work!
This reminds of of when me and my family were out camping and someone said they saw something in the water. It was a bird that was trying to stay above the water. So I walked into the water and rescued it. Unfortunately I think some water already got into its lungs because it died a few minutes later :(

I've helped so many animals my parents told me to leave for dead. But the one i love is when a mother mouse died having babies. She had three. The first two died and the third was dieing. I took it with me and cared for it. It started to get better, but it lost hope. He died in my arms as i tried to heat it's cold body. It died. I burried it next to the rest of the family. I was sad but happy to know that i had enough to give it a few last days😭😭
This is such a sad story I would have thought that at the end the little girl would have release the little creature back to its mate it's gem healed or something I never expected it to pass away in its sleep but it was nice that she gave it a nice little burial but she didn't even cry but it was beautiful that it turned into the tree and then the flower gave her its gem
