@@nschannel826 The chat started feeling bad for him in prison followed by a wave of "did you forget what he did literally 24 hours ago?" Part of gaslighting is putting the blame on the victim and making yourself look innocent, so his manipulation literally was doing just that.
I don't know man people take this whole dream is manipulative psychopath too far. I think the writers are going to make him sympathetic in the end. remember his end goal was to UNITE the server. The start of l'manberg was the start of the wars and everyone joins side and fighting. He ended l'manberg with techno but as long as tommy is around causing trouble, war and fighting wont stop. at one point, he lost all ability to have emotional connection to anything on this server and it has drove him insane. wanting control and manipulating others are signs of mental disorders in many cases. his actions were terrible but his reasons were righteous, he just couldn't handle it I guess. in the end, he does deserve time in prison and it I'm curious to see where the writers will take his character.

I loved how when things were against him and he didn’t have the upper hand, how quickly he turned to defend himself, make himself seem helpless and like a victim. Whether it was Dream’s character pretending to be scared or not, I think he actually was afraid.

I love this, and one theory I got is that it’s gonna be one a 50/50, maybe Philza dies, or Tubbo, and so it becomes either bring Willbur back, or the other, and even then there’s quackity who wants to bring back shllat, something tells me dreams favor might cost techno something he feels he needs to be relayed for, and it’s gonna become a 3 way battle for dreams ability to bring back the dead

What's funniest about this is... I feel like Dream actually believes that he and Tommy were friends. Like "I'm going to torture you endlessly, take away everything you love, and end by locking you away and killing your best friend. That's what friends do, right?" Like... Dream. BRUH. Get some help, dude.
Considering he was mocking Tommy like ten minutes earlier for thinking Dream was his friend back when Dream still thought he had the win in the bag, I'm going to say it was just another manipulation tactic. He's also said in the past that he isn't Tommy's friend (/rp of course) directly to Tommy's face (until he needs to manipulate him). Dream is fully aware what he's doing is fucked up. He just got into a sticky spot and fell back on his old emotion manipulation tricks to try to get out of it and when it didn't work he had to pull his final card to stay alive. (Again, /rp guys, /rp. I know they're just acting).

Like "he can't possibly actually want to kill me because we were friends." It's what it looks like from the body language in the animatic (which of course can't be seen in the original because, well, minecraft.)

Nah, green boi, Tommy wants you DEAD. Not punished, DEAD. That's what happens when you go after someone too much. And yet Dream is still surprised by it.
