- This is just a quick video of some of the clips I've collected over the years of my straight piped mazdaspeed 3! Mostly just for the people that are curious about what these cars sound like fully straight piped :)

My 3 is straight piped from the cat back and it's pure heroine to listen to...I couldn't imagine having a full straight pipe 😂
The best sounding 4 would have to be the new Veloster N IMO. Stock exhaust it’s completely bad ass, with all those crackles and pops! Sweet mazdaspeed though👍🏼

Sounds super similar to a Subaru but Subaru’s are the best sounding 4 cylinder ;)

4G and the mazdaspeed 3 engines are definitely 2 of the best. That boxer UEL sound is perfect though
I installed my cp-e downpipe and catback a lil while ago and I gotta say.. I absolutely hate how obnoxiously loud it is on a pure cold start. But it sounds so angry and awesome when driving.
hold the throttle half way when cranking, and let off the gas as soon as the engine catches. It'll skip the Cat. warmup cycle. I do it every day now.
Oddly enough we have had some pretty cold weather recently and I noticed its no super loud and annoying when the outside temp is cold as heck.
Mine is only really loud when it wants to be. Other times it's mostly quiet. But I love it no matter what. Especially the pops

With some backend tunes u can get rid of cold start but cmon... We love that shit when everything shakes lol
I own both stage 3 genpu and a Wrx w/ only a turboback and MS3 doesn't compare as far as sound. Still love my genpu!!!

I have a 2009 Mazda sedan and I wanna delete the cats. Would removing the cats affect gas mileage or mess with the O2 sensors or anything?
Oh yea. It will throw CEL and gas mileage will be horrible. Unless you have a cat without an o2 sensor behind it I’d keep them.
very very nice car, if i say so my self that I own one as well, now I have a question for you see if I can get some help, in my car when go full throtl it cuts but if I keep it at 80% or so throtl it drives good, any tips or ideas on what can it be, oooo and no check lights on of any kind on the dash, I did had some one plug a snap on scanner and it shows that even when I floor it the throtl is only going 80% to 85% not 100%
It might be restriction i think its like 30hp less in 1st and second gear
These cars are also a buncha fakers with our drive by wire throttle.
Throttle position stops at about 75/80%
Because i think after that were just dumping fuel

I have a 2010 mazda 3 GT that i need to make more powerful. I live up in the mountains and the stock parts are just not cutting it for me in terms of having the power to climb big mountain passes. I have had a altitude tune on the car to help in the meantime whilst i find out what i can do to my car to help with this problem.
My question is what can i upgrade and in what order. Not looking to do a engine swap. Anything besides that is fair game.
I just need some help from people that know the cars, to see what i could change and swap out in my car to get some more power.

Don’t upgrade it anymore, save your money and buy a clean Speed3 or Speed6(since you’re in the mountains you’ll want the awd) that’s my honest opinion.

In all honesty yes just get a speed 3, I used to have an 07 gt Mazda 3 and i did every bolt on you could think of and suspension part to make it feel faster but without a turbo your just not gonna get it. Even if I wanted to turbo it I had to build up the motor and it was just too much to do.
Like the sound but think that my be to loud for long drives. I'm currently with a sport catted downpipe and a axle back exhaust from magnaflow but not liking the sound. Not deep enough if you know what I mean. Thinking what to do about this. Any suggestions welcome
Keep the catted downpipe, run a cork sport catback. Sounds way better. Search up sound clips for ms3 catted downpipe + catback exhaust. decently loud cold starts and when you get up to speed it can get pretty loud but not enough for it to drone in the cabin.
I ordered my Ultimate Racing turbo back all cats with nothing else and it does really well sounds tough with very very little drone. Just sounds great! I get many many complements.
Ian Claiborne Havent heard of that brand, ill have to do some research and see if it’s worth it for my speed! Little drone and good sounds are pretty cool.

Any speed3 owners hit over 180K with no problems?
200k on my genwon, CEL for a while, misfires in 1st and 2nd gear, can't figure out why.
I hit problems at 50k with my gen 2. I think I set a new world record.
My 2nd gen is at 53k
173K 2nd Gen about to do clutch and flywheel.
I JUST hit 140k on my Gen1...cleaning the valves on her currently so she's down for a few days so I can soak the valves
Well it's no secret our car sounds the best huehue. I got my CPE Triton and downpipe put on and I'm in love

The Mazda's and Subaru's sound similar because they both have unequal length headers from factory
@@danielgalea0 nevermind the fact subaru is a boxer which contributes to its different sound, i think its more being stated that the 2.3disi turbo is one of the greatest sounding inline 4s. Boxers are totally different and not a fair comparison
