Love me some mazdaspeed 3's and mazdaspeed proteges. Love how they sound like subbies.
The stock manifold is extremely unequal and doesn’t flow the greatest, hence the sound
@@sleeper.simulant7327 yea figured that nice sound though
Equal length turbo manifold make it sound like a FA20 wrx
Had mine since 2008 . It’s fully modded and has a BNRS3 . It will give people a bad day if you test it lol . I did the same thing you did a few years back but didn’t enjoy the drone or the raspyness. I now have a full CNT turbo back with a CNT hi flow cat . It sounds amazing . Nice car and enjoy it !
Finally been waiting for someone to bring in a speed3
Nice tone for a 4 cylinder thanks to the turbo.
My farts have a better tone
@@ragintaurusmusclemercury 🤣
I own a Speed6, the stock manifold is extremely unequal giving it almost a rumble. It also flows like crap which is why it gets swapped out with any turbo upgrade
@@sleeper.simulant7327Does swapping it out increase performance? My nephew has one that be wants to work on.
@@ragintaurusmusclemercury7023 Corksports manifold flows 34% better I believe, that’s pretty significant. Not entirely sure what Full-Race’s or Graveyard Performance ones do, but those may flow even better. Cheap eBay XS Power ones flow like 15ish% better. The intake manifold on these also suck, cylinder 3 specifically flows much differently. On the small stock k04 turbo you won’t see massive differences, once you start upgrading the turbo though is where you’ll see it, bolt on turbo upgrades are relatively inexpensive for these cars
holy cow, yall are the shop down the road from me! Gonna be bringing in my mazdaspeed3 for the same treatment
That Mazda symbol always reminds me of Majin Boo from DBZ
I actually just saw this car on I40, it sounds way better in person. 👌
mannnn i have 2005 mazda 3 HB but non turbo but still love it, Im thinking about stright pipe
Sounds alright
nice rims
Ooh. I love me an Mazdaspeed 3.
Is it bad that I wanna buy the one down the street and put this 350 or 400 small block Ford in it that my cousin has for sale
Sounds really good with that turbo on to be honest
Yeah they come factory turbod
@@crazyfireboy123 oh really? That's cool bro
@@oscardeneergaard2132 yup love my 1st gen that's my baaaaaaby😂😂
N I C E
I sure hope he got a tune ahead of time for this or is going to learn zzb real quick.
Zzb?
@@kevinbacon5544 zoom zoom boom. It's a common occurrence and well known happening in the speed community for new purchasers of the platform who go all honda with bolt on's and don't realize how finicky the motors are. I'm guilty myself. After 52 honda's over 20 years I was brand new to the platform and didn't realize I needed hpfp internals before anything else, threw on an intake, downpipe, and a turbo back exhaust. Well I didn't have the hpfp to keep from going lean and I also didn't know about an accessport for monitoring, and REALLY didn't know anything about tuning. I got real lucky and caught a cylinder 3 misfire leading to knock before I needed a full rebuild but it could have been really bad. Hell on my honda's I did turbo kits full bolt on's and even injectors without a tune back in the day. Wasn't fully efficient but didn't blow the motor either. With the mzr disi motor anything other than a stock size intake really should be tuned for, and the hpfp should be done first and foremost.
So messing with exhaust can cause problems as well
@@kevinbacon5544 yes anything that is going to affect air fuel ratio. I would say "just" a catback is relatively safe but also isn't going to effect power much with it alone. Just make the car louder, which admittedly we all want. It's when you remove the cats completely WITH an exhaust or get a catted downpipe but larger diameter that your really going to need a tune, or an intake 3" or larger then your bringing in significant more air. With either of those mods your stock maf can't properly address the situation so the non tuned stock ecu is going up try and just throw extra fuel at the problem. That going to result in rich on throttle and lean off throttle while the ecu tries to adjust and if your driving "spiritedly" it really can't keep and there's no timing adjustment. It's just a bad recipe. Especially being that were direct injection not port our combustion is being set off by not only spark but the pressure in the cylinder. This can be bad in those rich situation because you can get pre-ignition detonation which is knock. Get it too often, or too strong once......and ZZB!!
You can delete the muffler or the resonators with out problems, its when you touch them cats😬
Needs a catless downpipe 😅
Oh yes ah yes mmm yes
Is that a new bumper or did they not all come factory with duel exhaust
I think they all came with a dual exhaust. He must have changed the bumper
I believe first gen MS3 have a single exit bumper. 2nd gens had the dual exit
Yeah first gen is single exit and 2nd gen is dual
@@CactusJack252 only gen 2 came with dual. All gen 1 (2009 and earlier) came single exit.
The gen 1 came with single exhaust tip the gen 2 came with dual exhaust tips
diesel that 👀
Unless he’s got like 355’s on there he needs to learn a thing or two about fitment haha
did i hear a clutch slip
Thinking that was wheel spin
Why that sound like an STI?
It has an unequal length exhaust manifold
It's going to be straight pipe when he decides on removing that ugly down pipe I hope he does his hpfp otherwise his going zoom zoom boom boom 💥
Burn that clutch...
Those weilds look like shit
Great car till you see the wheels
Nice and tucked. How they should be.
Lol
would love to see speed6, speed3 is overrated
Same engine doe
Literally same car, just a sedan with awd. Thats the difference.
Nah 3s definitely aren't you trippin
To each their own and I do NOT mean to disrespect anyone but WHY? So now it has an extra 3 HP for a total of 102HP. LOL.
Early speed 3's like that make 260-270 hp stock in a sub 3000lbs car not too shabby
A quick Google could have saved you from looking stupid.
Try again. You obviously have no idea what this car is. 260-270hp stock. They make over 300 easily with bolt on's. I own a 2nd Gen and can assure you these are no 90's civic.
Midwest motors knows nothing about these cars. Lol
@@smokeyj3983 You're actually correct, very good son! I could care less about any vehicle with a 2.3 Litre 4-banger!
