+Sophia Hayes ikr they (chip/snack companies) are wasting to much plastic!!!!!! THE SO CALLED "CHIP" BAGS, ARE MORE AIR THAN THEY ARE CHIPS!!!!!
+Sophia Hayes The bags are about half full, and it's not to deceive anyone. The air is Nitrogen that serves two purposes, one is to cushion the chips from being crushed during shipping, and the other to preserve and keep them fresh. Nitrogen is an inert gas that doesn't react with oxygen so they don't have to use any preservatives.
***** I know how nitrogen works, haha. But in Australia where I live the bags have a much higher chip to air ratio. In the same size packet, we'd usually receive twice as many chips, and the chips would be a lot less thin. Although I assume that most American chips would be like Australian ones, ie 60-70% chip, 30-40% air, Lays seems to be cheating their customers a bit with wafer thin chips that only fill about 40% of the bag. Not that we're here to debate chip ethics lol just thought it was a pretty big difference to here in Aus.

No, were are getting the same amount of product, just in a larger package. Like I said, it protects the product from damage during shipping and handling. You can very easily see how much product you're getting by the weight listed right on the front, the most common size is 10oz which is 283g, comparable to package of Smiths Crisps that is 290g. I'm guessing a smaller package without the air.

In Canada we have cinnamon bun, bacon poutine, tzatiki sauce and jalapeño Mac and cheese lol!
We bought these to make a video and Daddy ate all of them while we were away at a party! We did try the mac n cheese ones before we left. Tasted like sour cream and onion to us!!

We have different ones here in Toronto! We have Bacon Poutine, Tzatziki, Cinnabon Bun, and Jalapeno Mac and Cheese! I feel we got the better end of the bargain. LOL

As someone mentioned before you should do the challenge as pouring a bucket of ice water over your body is the same feeling that people with diseases feel everyday, that's THE WHOLE POINT! And yes it does use up water but less water than a shower and even if she didn't do it the water wouldn't suddenly appear in other countries! It's not a challenge to donate but a challenge to feel what diseased people feel everyday.

poutine/bacon is delicious, aldo would have preferred only poutine... did not try and will not try the other ones ... poutine will win in my opinion cause the shelves are full of the other kind and most of the time can't get the poutine flavored chips

Personally I don't see it as a waste of water, think about what good the challenge has done not just for raising awareness about the disease but also uniting people to help others in suffering so I say to those who mention the drought don't be mad start your own challenge for a water charity there's always a way :) so do it bunny

It is when you're in a drought and people can be fined $500 if they're caught wasting water. People can't even water their lawns now due to the drought, and a lot of people are just taking "the challenge" and not donating anything.
The whole point of the celebrities doing it is advertisement. Many people will do the ice bucket challenge and some will hear about it and see the potential to actually give money to donate towards the disease
We are suffering in AZ too, even though we just had a flood. And the Mesa PD just used two bulldozer's to do the challenge. When we already have issues with the Colorado river and what is happening to Lake Mead. We really need to conserve what we have left before it's 12.99 for a 12oz bottle of water, and I probably am way off on the inflation.

It is ultimately your decision whether or not you do the Ice Bucket Challenge. However, if you decide to do it you should really look into the meaning behind it. It's not the regular challenge you see many people doing. This challenge is to bring awareness to ALS, otherwise known as Lugarits Disease which is a fatal disease that is currently incurable and without any known causes. Many people around the country/world are doing it to help bring awareness to those who have the disease and are donating to the ALS foundation as well as doing the challenge.
