I actually wasn’t aware of the comic before this video. I only traced the Gorefield meme back to the William Burke drawings (where Garfield Gameboy’d took its inspiration from); I wasn’t aware there was anything before those. I was always confused because I could never figure out where the random “I’m sorry Jon” quote came from...

alternative ending: Jon has turned evil while garfield is trying to fight his evil self and turn back to normal. But jon tries to give him lasagna, making the evil side of him stronger, and the good side of garfield weaker. and at the end... hunger gets the best of him.
