Thanks Steven! Neither did I. I'm really glad it worked and I didn't have to buy an expensive battery one. DIY plumbing is very achievable. It makes a big difference on an off grid homestead to be able to do stuff ourselves.
If you find you want more thermal energy just try insulating the hot water return. You might be losing 30 to 50 watts per meter of exposed pipe depending on the temperatures. Any wind and rain would make that far worse.
Thanks ostrich wrestler, and awesome name. That's a good idea, heading into summer I probably won't bother but definitely when it starts to cool down. I was also thinking I should have wrapped the copper supply line around the chimney
Nicely done. Great going Ben
Thank you!
Great work. I did not even know you could get manual crimpers. I am really glad it all went so well and you have hot water. Really great work.

Good job. You are a genius.
Thanks Jason, not a genius but having fun making an off grid homestead.
Good job maybe you should take up plumbing 🤔
Thanks! Certainly more money in it than what I'm currently doing 😅
