It's sad but most people today don't know what love means like these 2 people even though this is the generation who seems to be the most obsessed with it. Love is not a feeling, love is choice that's why God commanded us to love our neighbor. Love is wanting what is best for others, that's why marriage is forever because as long as both people choose to love each other they will forever be in love.
I personally think that gay sex in and of itself being considered as a sin is bs since it doesn't harm anyone from a 3rd person's point of view. It shouldn't be anyone's business on how adult same sex couples make love or do the deed so much so with the straight ones doing it. I can't imagine believing in that notion that that sexual act is bad even if it does not affect nor harm me.
It is a sin because it is outside of marriage, and St. Pope John Paul II cautions us that love can either be true or utilitarian, meaning it's purpose can be to glorify God or it can be to derive pleasure from alone. That's why he encourages us to practice chastity, not that it holds us from what is good, but it purifies the love and reveals it truest form.
Also, one of the 10 commandments state that we should not commit adultery, and Jesus explaining this that when we look at another person with lust in our hearts then we have committed adultery. In the book of Genesis, it tells us that the serpent is more cunning than any beast of the field. Sin, prior to it becoming a recognizable sin disguises itself as something good, something beneficial, something that doesn't look harmful in any way, but it will eventually be causing destruction in our lives.

I beg to Disagree with the part of natural law first let us define natural law According to the Natural Law in Ethics. Which states that humans are born with a moral compass that guides their behaviors. It means this is humans' guide to the behaviors we act upon but how can we say something if this thing is natural or not because animals don't do it let me ask you something when do we use animals as our morals standard of our life as human beings mostly in sex but I hate to break it to you that animals do same-sex act to I give you the link down below then because it's weird? but everything was weird when we just knew it or did it for the first time. And here's more in this modern age people don't have sex for the sake of having children but for the sake of pleasure and sexual satisfaction well in fact many young generations don't want to have children because of many circumstances and if the only ultimate goal of having sex is to procreate so how about to the people that can't have on due to medical conditions are they sinners even though it's not their total fault so i beg to dissagre
Are they really opposites? they both like dudes and their views on being catholic is the bascially the same Although I really like her personality, it is a missed opportunity that she didn't really knew the bible. specifically the part where she pointed out that some of the interpretation of the scriptures are outdated while also saying that she can't qoute anything from the bible. providing her own interpretation and what the usual interpretation is would have been a good example. As per where in the bible says that homosexuality is a sin Leviticus 18:22, Leviticus 20:13 are indeed saying it is a sin. As per my understanding the "attraction" or proclivity to be attracted to the same sex is not the major sin but the act itself. Same way that as a man I have a proclivity to have sex with any women and the attraction towards any other women other than my wife, me being attracted to other women won't make me sin, but the act of adultery will. The catholic church IMO should never support the LGBTQ+. It's like saying the church should support killers to killing more, or pedophiles to continue touching kids, or adulterers to cheat more on their partners(not saying that those sins are equal). Now should we support the individual identifying as a part of that group? Yes most definitely. I would encourage and support them to not sin like i would encourage an adulter to stop cheating. Now I am saying all of this knowing that I am a sinner, with my own doubts about the catholic church as an organization, and as a person who is basically still a seeker. Still an interesting episode and would like to see more. An episode Idea for you guys. Straight muslim and LGBTQ+ Muslim meet and Talk. Since Eid is coming, i think that would be fitting.
Not you comparing same sex relations to killing, pedophilia, and cheating. Yikes. When did gay sex between two consenting people ever harm another person?
@@magicflour like i said not all sins are equal and I used that to make a point. But if you want to go there then let's go there. A lot of things considered sin in the bible has no direct "harm" to others. No harm will fall on to others if I worship another "God" but that's a sin, No harm will fall into others if I don't honor the sabbath but that's a sin. No harm will fall into anyone if I don't honor my parents even though if they are abusive but that's a sin. Heck even adulterers can make a case that if he never gets caught, no harm will be done, but that is in fact a sin. And all of that is just coming from the 10 commandments alone. As for the idea of two consenting people, that won't change the fact that it is still a sin. Two consenting adults engaging in premarital sex is sin. In the case of Incest? if a brother and a sister say that engaging in sex is the fruit of their true love, does that exempt them from commiting the sin? You could even make a case for euthenasia as a sin even if it is in fact the other party consenting being killed. I am one of the most sinful men I know. I engaged in pre-marital sex, I lie, I cheat, I covet, I spoke ill towards others, but I will never deny that those are wrong in the bible's standards.
1/2 WARNING: MAHABANG POST. I watched the entire video and made some notes to it. I hope you brought patience for the long read. Time stamp: 2:52 "Surrendering everything, good and bad, to God." "Forgetting to credit themselves...?" Of course you should. Because once you get to really study the Scriptures and get to know Christ, you will learn that it is no longer about you. It's about denying yourself, picking up your cross, and FOLLOWING JESUS. It IS about Jesus, not you. (Matt. 16:24-25) Time stamp: 3:00 "Technically, we're all on the same side." "---don't really recognize that the actual division is what is perceived to be sinful or not---how old people and historical people chose to view it through their eyes during their time." What he means in this could be broken down into several interpretations. But what I understood is that he means that "expressions of faith" could evolve overtime; which is true to an extent. As back in the Old Testament, one of the primary methods of worshipping God is either you do what He commands when He appears to you, or through 5 methods of offerings mentioned in the Book of Leviticus for you to sustain your fellowship (connection) with Him. While we can take lessons from that, it is no longer needed when Christ died on the cross to serve as the ultimate sacrifice and settle the matters for all humankind's sins once and for all. (Heb. 10:12) Plus, we are not on the same side. You either are for/with God, or against Him. You cannot serve two masters at a time (Matt. 6:24); and only those who received Christ and believed in His name have the right to call themselves "children of God." (Jn. 1:11-12) Time stamp: 3:30 "Never have I ever disagreed with a priest's homily." Again, unbiblical. There are several Scriptural references that warns us against false teachers; with 1 John 4 as the closest reference that tells us to "test every spirit" (v.1) as false teachers/prophets have gone out to the world. Every spirit that acknowledges Christ is of God (v.2) and those who do not is not from Him (v.3) Because if you agree on everything that is being said by the priest, especially if about the Scriptures, then there is a problem. It is our responsibility as followers of God to rid off of every spirit that is not from Him. Time stamp: 3:38 "Never have I ever felt -Catholic- guilt when doing 'sexy' act." It depends on the context of what she's trying to say. Maybe she's trying to say 'masturbation', which is long been a taboo for God knows how many. As tempting as it is, the Bible instructs us not to fight it, resist it, but to FLEE FROM IT. For your body is God's temple and you should glorify Him through it (1 Cor. 6:18-20) You cannot overcome sexual sins in one night. It takes some of us years to cleanse us from this temptation and sin, myself included. But with Christ, we can overcome it. Time stamp: 4:14 "Never have I ever explored another religion." This is a complicated statement to deal with because of how many Christian sects exists just in the Philippines; but as what the Bible said, and just reiterating, you cannot serve two masters and once you chose to follow Christ, you only serve under Him and Him only. Time stamp: 4:54 "Duterte agreed for Marcos Sr. to be buried in Libingan ng mga Bayani." As much as I also personally hate this, may we not forget that Duterte is an authority that time. He earned that authority by God's approval (Rom. 13) but beware of abuse of authority as there is no partiality in God (Eph. 6:9) Time stamp: 6:14 Now, this is pretty interesting to point out as there are two things I want to call out. First point, notice how she is not able to quote at least one Scripture based on the questions asked. What I see is merely a person not trying to cause an offense, which is understandable; but the fact of the matter is when you start to follow Christ, there is also the risk of offending when delivering the Good News of Salvation and the consequences of sin, which is death and hell. Second point, while she pointed out that the "interpretations" of the Scriptures are outdated, some of it can still be taken for a lesson. After all, the Word of God is alive and with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, different interpretations with the same purpose can take place so long as it serve the advancement of the Kingdom of God and preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It's important that you read it with the Holy Spirit as an ordinary man who is not of God cannot understand what the Word has to say without the Spirit (1 Cor. 2:13-14) Time stamp: 7:34 This is also a conflict of interest when it comes to Scriptures. It does not matter what the class in the Catholic school taught you. Even if 3 out of 4 interpretations of those schools of thought are accepting, the question is "DOES IT ALIGN WITH THE SCRIPTURE?" Because the Scripture is still the final authority of all. (Matt. 5:17-19) Especially on topics of how God treats marriage (Heb. 13:4, Matt. 19:4-6), sexual relations, masturbation (Matt. 5:27-30, 1 Cor. 6:9-10, 1 John 2:16), and homosexuality. (Lev. 18:22, Lev. 20:13) "There was nothing in the Bible that those against us---as far as faith and Jesus is concerned, they're on my side." It's only half of the video yet the lies began to come out. Both of them claimed that "gays will go to hell.", which is true along with other sinners who did not repent and believe in the saving power of Christ and the verses I mentioned above will be your references. You can actually read it in its context so you can assure that I am not cherry-picking those verses plus, the woman claimed to have "searched" the entire Scripture yet she did not see any that counters the statement of the other? Three possibilities: she cherry-pick verses that "feels good" to her and to please people, she forgot the verses, or she's lying. There will also be Scripture references to tell you why they are not on your side and the practices you believe in. Remember, "God hates the proud but gives grace to the humble." and if you truly fear the Lord and love Him, you will hate evil. (James 4:6, Prov. 8:13, 1 Cor. 13:6) TL;DR, it's not just people who will be against you. It's God, Himself.
2/2 Time stamp: 9:00 Please note that Pope Francis is not the highest authority there is. In fact, all of his statements are actually non-Biblical for the longest time I have heard him speak. While being LGBT is not a crime legally, those who practice it is called an "abomination" by God and remember, the Scripture is still the final authority. So no matter what the Pope says or whatever stance the Catholic church chose to be into, it is senseless if it is not aligned with Biblical principles and the teachings of Christ. Time stamp: 9:26 You question why is same-sex marriage not allowed because God, Himself is the designer of marriage back in the time of Adam and Eve. (Gen. 1) and He explicitly mentions that He treats it as abomination (Lev. 20:13) It is the same case for fornicators and adulterers (Heb. 13:4) It does not merely goes against the "natural law", which a law of nature also aligned with God's order according to the design of the Universe when He created everything (Gen. 1 and 2) so the natural order and law of nature, God has also ordained that and has something to do with the Scriptures. Time stamp: 10:52 "It's essentially the concern of the act." "We can all agree that in terms of the actual human experience, the act of sex is always coming from the feeling and sense of love." I agree with him on this one. However, sex is indeed coming from the feeling and sense of love, along with duty, and fulfillment EXCLUSIVELY FOR MARRIED COUPLE OF MAN AND WOMAN, WHOM GOD BLESSED.(1 Cor. 7:1-6) You cannot express it the same way a married man and a woman do because of conflicting interests: With homosexuality being the first point as God don't bless homosexual marriage. Second, it does not come in a sense of pleasure alone, but of duty and fulfillment of either the husband or wife, or both. Time stamp: 13:10 "What's the more loving thing to do?" The most loving thing to do actually is to tell the truth. That itself is love. It means that someone is concerned with your soul and wants you to be saved. You are still within the bounds of Christ's sacrifice when He died on the cross; all you need to do is believe in Christ that He has saved you, repent and surrender to Him. Deny yourself, pick up your cross and follow Him; that is loving your neighbor in a nutshell. Do not base your "faith" on logic. Tolerating you to continue in sinning is not loving at all as what God and the Scriptures tell us. Time stamp: 14:13 Pura Luka Vega issue. This will be mixed with legal issues but the point there is it violated the Article 201 of the Revised Penal Code in the Philippines plus, the act itself is not intended to praise Jesus Christ or glorify Him in any way. He disrespected a significant figure in the Catholic church in a public display of obscenity. Of course, it is natural that he will be arrested. The performance is meant for a drag show; like he literally dragged the jesus of Catholics down the drain, of course they will be offended. Time stamp: 15:55 Love is not merely a phenomenon. God is the embodiment of love but the benefit of His love is not god. He expressed His love that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Rom. 5:8-9) 1 Cor. 13:4-7 tells us the standard of love according to Apostle Paul which states: Patient and kind. Not jealous, conceited, or proud. Not ill-mannered, selfish, irritable. Does not keep a record of wrongs, is not happy with evil, but with the truth. Never gives up. And its faith, hope, and patience---never fail. This is not a conversation of faith. What I saw was merely a conversation trying their very best not to offend one another with the truth. There is little to no truth in this exchange and it can safely be assumed that this is not even a conversation about faith at all. I pray in the name of Christ that God will touch their hearts and open their eyes to the truth and power of the Scripture. It is the final authority of the entire Christian belief and everything else in this world. Shalom.
1 Timothy 1:8-11 8 We know that the law is good if one uses it properly. 9 We also know that the law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, 10 for the sexually immoral, for those practicing homosexuality, for slave traders and liars and perjurers-and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine 11 that conforms to the gospel concerning the glory of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me.
Some people say that gays are going to hell, which I am not sure about, and I don’t think they’re going to hell. I am not God to make the final judgment for them. However, I believe that people misunderstand what is actually meant by saying gays are going to hell. They mean that God created man to have a relationship with a woman. That’s why they say that, because they believe that sexual interaction should be between a man and a woman, not between two men or two women. There is no verse or biblical statement specifically saying that gays are going to hell, but God has forbidden sexual intercourse between men and women of the same gender.
The teachings of the Catholic Church are never subjective. And the teaching of the Church is always black and white. Though "some" and "supporting" teachings of the Church progress in time but the magisterium and doctrine still the same. Making the teachings of the Church subjective will always lead to heresy. The Catholic Church always respect the dignity of human person. And so never did the Catholic Church abhor the person who's member of the LGBTQ+ but rather abhor the sexual act of them. Sex is not a language of love per se. It is a gift from God for the married couple to procreate. Note the book of Genesis when He created man and woman and commanded them to subdue the earth. So savvy to think that sex must not be seen as a mere expression of love but rather a gift from God after marriage. The order must be love, marriage, and sex. Again, the Church never condemn the member of the LGBTQ+ community as a person but rather condemn only the action that goes against the natural law.
They're god is black and white so it's between you die and you live. Very backward and anti Jesus teaching. That's why many cults hated the Jesus narrative cuz it took away their powers to kill people all in the name of a god idea.thats why religion will never ever have a redeem factor for me. And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved." Romans 1:26-27
For more context, the next verses: ”Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.“ Romans 1:28-32 NIV Paul is talking about nonbelievers who by choice abandoned their faith and knowledge of God.
The Bible has something to say about sexuality, identity, and gender. Romans 1:26-27 Therefore, God handed them over to degrading passions. Their females exchanged natural relations for unnatural, and the males likewise gave up natural relations with females and burned with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God.

Nice hehhehe may cryo vision sya 😊
I personally think that gay sex in and of itself being considered as a sin is bs since it doesn't harm anyone from a 3rd person's point of view. It shouldn't be anyone's business on how adult same sex couples make love or do the deed so much so with the straight ones doing it. I can't imagine believing in that notion that that sexual act is bad even if it does not affect nor harm me.
Shout out to Sodom and Gomorrah. 😂
Do you have a Bible Verse for that?
@@TheKimpawleehe doesn't have a bible verse but he has common sense. Your Bible can't even justify slavery and genocides in your books just because God says they are evil. god is an excuse to the cruelty of holy presenting people and just excuses it as God works in mysterious ways, that is pure little holy bull shit
What an insightful ep! 🧡

Being homosexual is just another sin like the sins everyone commits and please remember that "No one is righteous, No one, - Rome 3:10 so be careful when we judge our LGBTQIA brothers and sisters. They are humans too and we have faces, maybe your son, brother, sister, mom and/ or dad and so on...

The bottom line is Sex is sacred! it was a gift from God for man and woman who are married

Holy Horny Active. Cult people are crazy
Are they really opposites? they both like dudes and their views on being catholic is the bascially the same
Although I really like her personality, it is a missed opportunity that she didn't really knew the bible. specifically the part where she pointed out that some of the interpretation of the scriptures are outdated while also saying that she can't qoute anything from the bible. providing her own interpretation and what the usual interpretation is would have been a good example.

"Surrendering everything, good and bad, to God."
"Forgetting to credit themselves...?"
Of course you should. Because once you get to really study the Scriptures and get to know Christ, you will learn that it is no longer about you. It's about denying yourself, picking up your cross, and FOLLOWING JESUS. It IS about Jesus, not you. (Matt. 16:24-25)

"Technically, we're all on the same side."
"---don't really recognize that the actual division is what is perceived to be sinful or not---how old people and historical people chose to view it through their eyes during their time."
What he means in this could be broken down into several interpretations.
(Heb. 10:12)
Plus, we are not on the same side. You either are for/with God, or against Him. You cannot serve two masters at a time (Matt. 6:24); and only those who received Christ and believed in His name have the right to call themselves "children of God." (Jn. 1:11-12)

"Never have I ever disagreed with a priest's homily."
Again, unbiblical.
There are several Scriptural references that warns us against false teachers; with 1 John 4 as the closest reference that tells us to "test every spirit" (v.1) as false teachers/prophets have gone out to the world.
Every spirit that acknowledges Christ is of God (v.2) and those who do not is not from Him (v.3)
Because if you agree on everything that is being said by the priest, especially if about the Scriptures, then there is a problem. It is our responsibility as followers of God to rid off of every spirit that is not from Him.

"Never have I ever felt -Catholic- guilt when doing 'sexy' act."
It depends on the context of what she's trying to say.

"Never have I ever explored another religion."
This is a complicated statement to deal with because of how many Christian sects exists just in the Philippines; but as what the Bible said, and just reiterating, you cannot serve two masters and once you chose to follow Christ, you only serve under Him and Him only.

"Duterte agreed for Marcos Sr. to be buried in Libingan ng mga Bayani."
As much as I also personally hate this, may we not forget that Duterte is an authority that time. He earned that authority by God's approval (Rom. 13) but beware of abuse of authority as there is no partiality in God (Eph. 6:9)
Time stamp: 6:14
Now, this is pretty interesting to point out as there are two things I want to call out.
Time stamp: 7:34
This is also a conflict of interest when it comes to Scriptures. (Lev. 18:22, Lev. 20:13)
"There was nothing in the Bible that those against us---as far as faith and Jesus is concerned, they're on my side."
It's only half of the video yet the lies began to come out.

Please note that Pope Francis is not the highest authority there is.

You question why is same-sex marriage not allowed because God, Himself is the designer of marriage back in the time of Adam and Eve.

"It's essentially the concern of the act."
"We can all agree that in terms of the actual human experience, the act of sex is always coming from the feeling and sense of love."
I agree with him on this one.

"What's the more loving thing to do?"
The most loving thing to do actually is to tell the truth.

Pura Luka Vega issue.
Time stamp: 15:55
Love is not merely a phenomenon. God is the embodiment of love but the benefit of His love is not god. He expressed His love that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Rom. 5:8-9)
1 Cor. 13:4-7 tells us the standard of love according to Apostle Paul which states:
Patient and kind.
Shalom.

8 We know that the law is good if one uses it properly.
9 We also know that the law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers,
10 for the sexually immoral, for those practicing homosexuality, for slave traders and liars and perjurers-and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine
11 that conforms to the gospel concerning the glory of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me.
Right cuz women are just men's ribs. Crazy cults. Since when did dirt have an opinion?
I totally agree with this.
Thanks for ur comment, i don't have to make mine lengthy. 😊
They're god is black and white so it's between you die and you live. Very backward and anti Jesus teaching. That's why many cults hated the Jesus narrative cuz it took away their powers to kill people all in the name of a god idea.thats why religion will never ever have a redeem factor for me. ”Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.“
