Hay this is David Becker I was the dude that came to your house and you so generously gave to our 4H club! I thank you so much and I love the video I’m sorry these tanks are so hard to take care of I would offer to help but I’m a little far.... but I’m working on growing my aquariums I am working to build my own shop and stuff so thanks so much I would maybe be willing to help! Also if you want you can look at some of my small tanks at my house!

I am so glad you guys came by! It felt REALLY good to give back to 4H. Don't forget to hit me up after our vacations so I can give you guys a bunch of rocks and stuff too! Probably have quite a bit of equipment as well that you could use if your fishroom starts to grow! Please keep in touch, this hobby is way too expensive for the youth!

@@RachelOLeary thanks so so much we truly do love everything you are doing I’m sitting in a chair right now near Lake Erie enjoying my vacation I will definitely check out those rocks also I definitely agree that it is very hard for youth to grow in this hobby! I might need some equipment but I’m not sure yet will have to talk to my parents! Again thanks so much for all you are doing!

Moral of the story: being a good fish keeper, is knowing when you’re unable to take care of your fish. I think it’s great you’re downsizing, it’s what’s best for the fish, your familyX and yourself! Good luck with all your future projects

I had to breakdown all but one of my tanks after having a baby and becoming a single mom. It's important to be able to enjoy what you love and sometimes that means not overwhelming yourself with too much. I'm glad you're taking the time to take care of yourself

I've done what you're doing and settled on one very large dirted, sand capped ecosystem masterpiece which condenses everything I've learned over the years and incorporated recent you tuber video channels like yourself, Father fish dirted aquariums, and diy Joey because I built my huge tank from scratch. I just enjoy it now and it essentially looks great and almost no maintenance. The trick is diversity in the inhabitants both micro and macro. I've learned a lot from your species spotlight series which helped me choose plants, snails, shrimp and fish.

As a card carrying nature nerd, I really love the sound of what you're planning. I know making these kinds of decisions is really hard but I'm definitely looking forward to the new style of content! We stumbled across your channel when my daughter was about 6 or 7 and just getting into aquariums and fish keeping. ugh you remind me so much of myself. fish have been my therapy when struggling with pain and or life. but constantly changing my animal room so that I can maintain everything. constantly pushing it to what I can manage then finding way to manage more then downgrading when I realise a slight change to routine can completely throw things off. I've even ended up giving setups to friends and family so that I could still visit them and know they are OK. and I take a test kit to everyone's house now haha so hard to part with fish room gear even when you want to haha

Either a 75 or 125, aquarium with nothing but crypts, hopefully a huge number of chili rasboras (thinking 50-100) and maybe some other small guys, amanos, cherry shrimps and hopefully another small fish that would fill in parts of the tank the chilis didn't.

Well done Rachel! You’ve worked hard you’ve mentored a lot of people both with the fish room and the outside tubs.
I have never watched one of your videos and not come away without knowing something you that is really important to me.
As long as you keep the old boys, they are my favourite of your whole lot. I just love the fact that dear of an ancient breed, they are just magnificent.
Self-care is the road to perfection, if you cannot take care of yourself and be happy with your life what is the purpose?
I know that any road you travel will take you to wonderful places and the nice thing is that you will bring us along for the ride.
Be happy my girl you’ve paid your dues, now it’s time to spread your wings 💕
