i know a lot of you can take or leave my camping adventures, but it honestly is giving me such peace and so much joy that I feel inspired to share. I hope you enjoy seeing two really weird campsites from the Adirondacks in NY and the Green Mountain National Forest in VT. One was a ruins, the other was the most random cul-de-sac in a national forest that made me so amused. Anyway- fish content forthcoming, as well as more of this. I yam what I yam.
I was kind of stunned to get a notification that you posted a video. I haven’t heard wether or not you’re going to getting back to your fish videos I subscribed for. I’m disappointed ☹️. You were a favorite!
I love that you share your adventures with us, it’s amazing to see the real nature of your country especially as I’m in the UK. Seriously such inspiration, those tree roots at the beginning were insane. Looked pretty windy. Proper fish people are drawn to any water, be it a huge lake or a tiny puddle. 😂 The running water by that silver bridge towards the end of the video was simply stunning. 🥰 Pleased you are enjoying life. X
Wow! So beautiful there. I'm an outdoor kinda girl so I love watching these videos. Glad to see you having a good time. You deserve it Rachel! 🌱🐟🌱🐟🌱🐟🌱🐟🌱
Your massive back catalogue of fish content more than makes up for you branching out now. It's just good to know you are still on the scene. So long as there is a nice river in it exactly like this video im more than happy!
If you ever venture down south you should check out Lake Ouachita in west-central Arkansas. Ouachita River is great too. Lots of canoeing and camping options!
Just loved this video. I am in NY, a few hours away from the Adirondacks. Just love nature and taking hikes in new places. It is so beautiful and peaceful especially in these times we are going through.
Hard to rock the hawk in the woods. LOL Amazing bed head. I like the camping content. would like to have seen some clips from a tripod or selfie stick for a lil' 3rd party perspective. great commentary.
What Fun!!! So glad you're enjoying these Adventures in Nature. I remember seeing this homestead on a haunting show were the did get EVPs. That would be a fun place to camp. Nice root mass, looks like one's from my days in the redwoods as a kid. Nothing like a good ole cast iron pan for cooking! I really enjoy all the adventure vids, but I do miss your chit chat vids and such as well. I know, being selfish. I so enjoyed listening to the two of you chat, you must introduce him to us when he's ready. Beautiful scenery..... Thank you so much for the share Rachel. Very much enjoyed!!! You two Stay Safe out there.... 😅
Campsite 7 is not an old homestead lost to fire. I camped on 7 back in the 90's. The ranger told us that it was an old loggers camp where the Whitney's loggers resided. There is also pylons where their boathouse was.
The fallen tree roots would make an excellent backdrop in an awuarium big enough to hold it. The roots are stunning! maybe it would fit in ian a 5K tank.
Gorgeous area! Love the camping/paddling vids. It can be fun or no fun paddling in wind, depending on wind direction, but getting a caught in a squall on a lake is not good. If the wind is mild you can setup a sail tied off two paddles positioned depending on how your thwarts are arranged. As for bears, scent free tenting is best. Some suggestions for bad bear country are cook far from the tent, remove food and cooking smells in tent by changing clothes and scent free wipes, store food off a tree limb a bear can't crawl on or reach, bear proof cannisters are ok but may get dragged out of sight.
Solid advice. We usually put a bear bag up a tree and definitely cook away from our sleeping area. Black bears aren't very scary/aggressive, but in grizzly country we are super overzealous
It looked so serene paddling away so peacefully. OMG...the roots at campsite 1, utterly amazing. I could study them for hours and hours. Campsite 2 most definitely has a weird and strange vibe to it. I love your adventures, I'm living vicariously with the waters and campsites. 👍❤👍
Love this, what a perfect camp spot ❤️ when summer comes back in the uk this inspires me to do some wild camping. I’ll never go back to a public camp site, if you camp it must be wild and secluded 👌🏻
As a survival guide I must say, I don’t give this tip often. One of the most comfortable ways to poo in the woods is the “orangutan hang.” On an incline, you face up hill and grab on to a lower branch, or young tree. Lean back almost like repelling, 135 degree angle at the knees is more than enough so you are not relying on your hand strength. And relax. If you are having issues or have some real work ahead, dig a hole, take a knee and pretend you are the thinker. A great view and a coffee always help.
I enjoy your outdoor adventures. I haven't been in years because I am disabled and need a CPAP machine at night. I'm trying to figure it out so I can go again.
Hey I wanted to ask if you could make a biotope based on the Myristica Swamps found in the Western Ghats, it's quite an interesting habitat and I haven't seen a lot of biotope or scapes based on it
Nature is the most inspiring for all sorts of things and Ideas 💡 we come up with freaking amazing content 👌 👏 you do you take care of yourself and do things that make you happy 😊 you already know that 😆 sometimes you need to connect with nature I love seeing content like this it makes me want to go out into nature and enjoy the great outdoors it's amazingly therapeutic

I posted a fish content video last week. Will be breaking down shrimp tubs soon. Sorry you are disappointed but I have to do what brings me joy
I’m loving the outdoors content. That second site wins the most random award 🥇

Love it! Love seeing the area, the campfire chatter, those biscuits! (Also the brief shot of your guy - nice!)
Fantastic video! Loved seeing those neat locations. That gnarly bunch of roots was my favorite!

they were about 12' tall. it would have to be a huge tank

Stunning scenery
Interesting camp sites for sure. I’m getting too old to sleep on the ground, but I miss being out there for sure.
Very cool Mrs O'Leary.. very cool 👍👍
Glad to see people loving the ADK. I grew up there and miss it everyday.
I look forward to more trips!
@@RachelOLeary do the saranac River next time if you can you'll go straight into Plattsburgh and dumps into lake Champlain
sounds great! I will put it on the list! Little Tupper was super cool, we plan to do the north forest canoe trail in its entirety
That campsite area looks really cool. But that waterfall area… wow
those rocks and water were amazing!
Great stuff. Would love to get some campsite cooking tips from you!
Well that chimney was a nice find, at least people can cook something without risking burning down the forest...

Hahaha. Thanks!
This was a fantastic and interesting video!
Very surprise there is not any snow on the grounds up there.
October is still pretty early. We were up to check out the fall foliage
💚💚💚💚 This was amazing!
Excuse me, Sir but what is the Insect(?) in your profile pic?
I have been finding insect's that look a lot like it in 9ne of my tanks
Loving it 😍 🏕 🛶👍
Beautiful country ❤
looks awesome

Look into solar powered battery banks- the big guys. They are bulky, but can power way more then a cap. Let me know if you need a link as an example
@@RachelOLeary thank you I will

Now I want biscuits...
Row, row, row your boat gently down a stream.
or fight against wind, current and rain and pretend it is gently down the stream lol

Doesn't look Tartarian.
So, you mocked and called out others for using the historical fireplace and then you used it!!! Be better.
