Google reckons it takes 1.5 hours to 4 hours to fit shocks. I was charged for an hour labour at $150 an hour and I used to work at same service centre. I was of the opinion it would be half hour job and your video proves that opinion was right.

Can you please tell us where you obtained the shocks for the Isuzu Rodeo 2001? Any parts supplier online you recommend for other parts also for this particular vehicle? Thanks

Hey Matt, I know you posted this 3 years ago and seems as you aren't active now, but how did you like those shocks? I have the same year and everything rodeo as yours and need to replace mine. Thanks!

Hi Jadyn, I'm so sorry for not replying sooner - I was completely overwhelmed at work this summer/fall and I am just now getting a chance to catch up on messages and comments. Please accept my apology, as I do try to make a point to respond to viewers in a timely manner. I just got swamped over the summer and really couldn't keep up.
To answer your question, I've been very happy with the KYB shocks. They seem fairly firm, but overall the vehicle rides very well for being 16 years old now. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase those shocks again. I'm sure you have probably already purchased new shocks for your vehicle, but I did want to get back to you about your question. Sorry again for the very tardy reply, and thanks very much for watching!

I have an isuzu axiom 2002 and I have been having the same problem, it's pretty much the same as the rodeo but looks a bit newer, but anyways, I have the same rpm going up problem and sometimes while on, in park it shuts down or when I start it up it turns over but then shuts off shortly after, while driving sometimes the RPMs go pretty high before shifting gears, do you think it might be the same problem as yours?

sergio maya Sergio, it's hard to say...it seems that a lot of Rodeo engines will surge in RPM when first started. Once my vehicle warms up, the engine idle seems to settle down to around 800-850 RPM, which I think is in the normal range. Your issue sounds like it could possibly be a failing throttle position sensor...I'm not at all familiar with the Axiom, but assuming it has basically the same engine and setup, the throttle is electronically controlled, and there is a sensor that tells the computer how far (%) the throttle butterfly is open, so that the computer knows how much fuel to send, when to shift, etc. If the sensor gets out of calibration or fails, I believe it will play havoc with RPM and transmission shift points.
That's a wild guess, but might be a good place to start. If you can get your hands on a scan tool that gives you sensor readouts, you could see what it's saying for the throttle position compared to how far you actually have the accelerator pedal pushed down while driving. That might help you rule out the throttle position sensor. Have you had any check engine codes?
      Thanks for watching and commenting!

did you ever find out what was the problem with the rpm going up on the rodeo?

sergio maya Hi Sergio, actually I have not quite figured that out. Right now the vehicle is still running a little bit sluggishly, and I'm starting to think that one or both of the catalytic converters are clogged. This Isuzu engine is pretty notorious for burning oil, which over time can clog up a catalytic converter. I have a feeling that may what is causing the rough idle and lack of power that I've been experiencing for quite some time. The repairs I have performed have all helped a little bit. It just seems I have a few more gremlins to find. I will probably end up taking the vehicle to an exhaust shop to have them look at the catalytic converters and see if that may be what's going on.
Do you have a specific issue that you're trying to troubleshoot? Thanks for watching.

Not exactly the same, but it should be a very similar process.

Yes, removing suspension parts can be a real problem because of rust. I highly recommend coating any fasteners with a penetrating fluid such as PBlaster multiple times over several days prior to attempting to remove the hardware. I hope you were able to sort this out. Sorry for my delayed response!

He was talking miles not kilometres, so would have been about 190,000 ks when he did this video.
