Another tip. Instead of placing the jack stands on the axle, place them on the frame rails so the rear axle and suspension can be at full droop, and you dont have to bother with compressing the new shock to fit. If the compressed shock is too short to bolt up, then jack up the rear axle until it ligns up perfectly.

Thank you. And yes, definitely felt the difference. On one hand, it wasn't as soft anymore but, on the other hand, it felt much tighter and much safer. The handling improved as well.

Thanks for this great video! I just replaced the rear shocks on my 2000 Rodeo, and the ride is WAY smoother. Tip: Get a socket wrench for those nuts on the top

Great vid, gonna do this job on my vauxhall frontera here in england this week. its a isuzu with a vauxhall engine and badged vauxhall. same running gear as your rodeo. replacing the drop links and anti roll bar bushes too. p.s. vauxhall is owned by general motors. thanks for the great vid will save me quite a bit of money doing it myself.

Thank you! The vise grips were Irwin 7WR. 7 inches long. Those fit perfectly but you might be able to use something slightly bigger.

Hello! So I got the same shocks and I can't get them on the bottom bolt, I'm I suppose to remove that center piece inside the shock to get it bolted on?
