Mate,it was a good basis for a start to those who would be a bit scared to 'have a go!' One thing that wasn't mentioned,was this was a video for an Automatic transmission.If you guys out there have a manual trans,you will have no pipes to worry about changing out.A manual has none. I have a 2002 Rodeo,and it has a splitable fan cowl,so no need to take the fan out,just split the cowl in half,which has 2 clips on either side.Remove hoses,and it lifts straight out. Leave the lower half in the bay. I installed the lower radiator hose outside the car,and put it in gently,not to disturb the fins on the new radiator. When the radiator is in place,rejoin the bottom,and top clips on both parts of the cowl,then connect the hoses,and top radiator support clamp,then fill from there. My info is for a MANUAL TRANS only,but i wanted to share this info,as this car is getting on in age now,so it may be for a young fella to understand if it's a first car,or someone who likes the good old Rodeo. I am an Aussie who still has my Rodeo,since 2007,and i still love it! Unfortunately here,as the car is getting on in age,Matt's video is the only one i could go off,as i just replaced my radiator myself,but the video helped me immensely! Thanks Matt for the in depth video,and i hope my info will help other people who own the same. P.s- On the 2002 Rodeo,you can do all this job from the top for the new radiator.

For anyone curious in 2024, the round charcoal can hasn’t been available to purchase for quite awhile. They don’t even list a part number on the Chrysler diagram. The round can is just a secondary one that technically isn’t needed. You can remove the jumper hose between the two cans and plug the hole in the square can then connect the 2 small hoses to the other small fitting that’s capped next to it.

Hi Matt, I know this fixes the loss of radio backlight but did you also have no sound from the radio initially. I have no backlight and no sound from the radio yet the radio is on as shown on my display. Thanks

Idk what went wrong with my repair… I coated the fuse/ resistor and the screen lit up for hours while I cleaned my interior… However once I turned on my headlights it went black again… 😭 anyone have any thoughts?

Thank you! Repaced all 4 O2 sensors ran good 16.5 mpg milage, getting occasional cat efficieny bank 1 code, now seeing leam code. Checking manifold for leaks & will swap out Mass Flow. Kinda Easter Egging but like you trying to stay away from dealers. Great video, most appreciated!

Thanks for the video! Seems easy enough. I have a question, do the 2 vents on your passenger side not blow as hard at the drivers side? I’ve been chasing this problem where my passenger side vents have weak air flow. Also, when on max a/c do u feel any air coming from the floor vents?

Hi, @ 9:20 , how did you determine that the 2nd and 5th pin are the ones where you need to check the voltage ?

Google reckons it takes 1.5 hours to 4 hours to fit shocks. I was charged for an hour labour at $150 an hour and I used to work at same service centre. I was of the opinion it would be half hour job and your video proves that opinion was right.

Do you have a process for RABS and Brake check lights?

Before you all go this far fown the rabbit hole, please try unplugging the connector from the bottom of the control panel that leads to the upper touch panel. Clean with CRC electronic spray cleaner (both male and femsle ends) and replug it in. This connection leads to intermittent power issues with this model.

I did this however I did not move the #4 jumper to the front it is in the back, does it matter? It's still disengaged right?

Awesome video. The spec part made my day i rebuilt my hvac box and removed ac accumulater along with core and blend doors. That being said the amount of oil stumped me. My compressor came with 180ml in it and i just added 1 ounce to the ac accumulater and we shall see results. When removing the hvac box i lost a bit of oil it seems.

Informative video, great job. Question, I had some squirrels climb up into my carb area and chewed right through that TPS wires. right up next to the pigtail connector. Looking at some new pigtails, they all seem to come with various colored wires. What are the colors of the wires on this 01 Ram you worked on?

You took out the old 3oz of oil but then added new 3oz of oil to make the 6oz of oil you need for the new compressor correct?

mine sound like a diesel,is an Isuzu Trooper 2001.they said is because they put different oil,than the one is needed

if your doing this,replace the cam angle sensor while the manifold is off,,they fail after 300000ks or so.

My 2008 Chrysler 300 with the 2.7l V6 is doing the aame noise, but the fluid is still red and not burnt, would doing a drain and fill along with filter change help, or just leave it alone. Shifts fine from what I can tell. Has 215k miles.

Im going to attempt restoring my 1992 Rodeo bougjt new, V6, automatic 4wheel chassis, approx 150k miles, faded but not rusted. Where to begin, I have no idea where to start first!? Does not start.

Thank u so much for posting this! I wanted to save some money and replace a new thermostat to my 01 Passport. I was inspecting every move I'd make before tearing it apart. I decided to maybe have a mechanic do it. So glad after watching this video, I for sure will have a mechanic do the job lol

My Blend door Control box did not come with the Fancy Screw. I had to use one with two Washers to make it work. Very hard to do.😢😢😢

I have GE Model DDT595 and I just spent the past two hours reviewing your videos to figure out what my problem was. I was definitely not looking forward to attempting to remove the door and replace the UI board. Luckily, after turning the power off and on through the breaker, (which didn't seem to do anything) I decided to randomly hold the Cycle select and Start button. Light came on and displayed error code 817. I googled the code and discovered that I need to follow some steps to reset the computer module, and it WORKED! Hopefully, this will help some people with their GE issue. What a pain ! but i'm so glad I didn't need to go through all the steps in the two videos!

i have 2001 Isuzu trooper with 134.000 miles , the strange thing is it sound close to that one like is diesel .it has power .everything works fine. no problems at all just the sound is like a diesel

Posting thia as a top level comment for others that find this vid. If you still have your manual/original docs there should be a service manual sheet and there is a table that tells you what the different blinking patterns indicate (which board is the issue or if something has tripped etc) If you dont have that you can probably search for your model's manual on the Internet or via GE's site

Well. It’s probably working because the board was working at the time. Unless you verified that you still didn’t have any readout on the interface when you checked the board indicator light and pin voltage, you could be getting a false reading. The light is only going to be flashing when the board is in failure mode. Once the board is working during intermittent random power-on moments, the indicator light will be solid. It’s almost always the power board that is the problem in these situations. But if you were 100% certain it didn’t suddenly start working, then yes, it’s the wiring harness or the UI.

Did u use the regular gaskets. Or the upgraded fel-pro ones?

If I just do the intake gasket. Do I need to disconnect the fuel line?

What if I replaced pressure control solenoid and switched wire to connect, it does matter or it's not working? If someone knows please let me know. Thanks.
