I just moved to an apartment and it's literally like a townhome. You open the door from the outside and you are right in my apartment. The lock system is not enough security for me lol. I feel safe but I am a young girl on my own and I want something that can ensure my safety.

Yes, it is very loud. You think a random thief is going to know which door lock I have, somehow get into my very secure building, just happen to have a powerful magnet in their pocket & then unlock my door? Lol

Hello from New York City! Do not need a wi-fi lock for front door, rather looking for wi-fi lock for a bedroom door which currently has a door knob and not a lock and key like a typical front door. I can’t think of a smart lock that doesn’t require a deadbolt. There are deadbolt kits at Lowe’s & Home Depot. So if you don’t have a deadbolt hole on that door, you can make one. As far as your second question, I’d need to know what you’re trying to accomplish exactly.
Can you suggest a 2nd-floor window camera that tilts down to the ground? This townhome does not have windows on the bottom floor. Tired of picking up dog feces on the side and front of the grass. The management will not do anything unless I know the dog owner. Thank you
Unfortunately that will be tough. Window cameras work best right up against the glass looking straight out. If you tilt them you’re going to catch the reflection & at certain times of day you won’t see anything. Wish I had a better answer for you.

I installed a camera on my apartment door that gets mounted to the door, the neighbors door is in direct view of camera since she’s right across ! She said I can’t record her, that’s illegal. So what do I do?
Laws are different everywhere, but most likely it’s not illegal. As long as you can prove the camera is not there to intentionally record them, you’re fine. So then it just becomes up to & whether or not you care about how your neighbor feels. Anything outside your apartment should also be cleared by your landlord.

That’s a weakness of any Wi-Fi camera (except Nest). It’s not going to work. That’s why a wired NVR System (with a battery back up) a always the best option.

There are excellent mini hidden motion cameras, they'll hook up to your phone, computer, or tv later, and you can print the images or download vid to give to cops.

When Xfinity migrated the "Xfinity home" security to the All in one "Xfinity" app it became exceedingly problematic and their idea of troubleshooting is to charge you $80.19 to have a third party company called "hello tech" to come to your place and, POSSIBLY fix it. Sorry no refunds. I'm sorry. No. I don't recommend it.

Non wifi options, mean you have to wire them & wiring can be tricky in an apartment.

A wired HD-TVI Hybrid DVR System. 4K video and doesn’t require internet at all.
What do you suggest for a garage? My apartment comes with a detached garage. The door doesn’t face my window so it would be hard to see

What do you think about hackers accessing to Eufy cameras and how to prevent it? Are they really as unsafe as they say?
That was a one time thing & Eufy had it squashed immediately. If anything, it caused them to have their stuff on lockdown more than ever.

Get a better camera with strong encryption, get a more secure modem/router or do both.

That’s a tough one. Powering a camera that way would eventually drain your battery. Do you have strong Wi-Fi where you park it?
