This video does not show how to get the cover off the back of the handle to get at the screws underneath. The video only shows a style with the screws on the outside. Mine is Merano and the screws are hidden. I tried to pry it off and damaged the cover.
I have the model with a round door knob. There is a very tiny latch (about the size of a flat head screwdriver) between the knob and the plate which will get the knob off. I used a flat head screwdriver to get it off. Although not sure if it's the the same model, this video gave me the clue I needed: ruclips.net/video/cF47uenJ46k/видео.html
I installed the lock set with no problems but when you push the button on the inside it doesn’t lock. Is there a video that shows how to fix this? Thanks.
Hi there. Thanks for reaching out. Sorry to hear about this. Please contact us at consumer.leads@allegion.com or give us a call at 1 (888) 805-9837 and we can help you out. Thanks, Claire
Can you please elaborate on your comment "adjust striker jam". My problem is that the latch extends so far out of the door that it is hitting the outer molding before it hits the strike plate on the door jam.
Thank you for reaching out to Schlage support. For the bolt to extend correctly you will need to adjust the door prep for the jam/strike. The bolt is not able to extend completely into your door so the lock is notifying that the bolt is jammed. Please contact us at 888-805-9837 for further assistance.
What if your door knob came with a UL cup? Everytime I install the UL cup with the assembly, it causes my door knob issues with turning. I have to force the knob to turn all of the way, and then it doesn't snap back. Is there an instruction video regarding the UL cup?
Hi there. Thanks for reaching out. It sounds like the door prep might be too tight. Try loosening that and see if that helps. If not, you are welcome to reach out to us at consumerschlage@allegion.com or 888-805-9837 and we can troubleshoot with you. Thanks, Jenny.
You tell us everything except what we really need to know: For example, if you have a door with either a 2 3/8" or 2 3/4" backset, is the assembly already adjusted for both of these, or do you have to DO something to adjust it? What you put in and what you left out shows some really uninformed decisions.
Hi there. Thanks for reaching out. You don't need to do anything for the 2 3/8 or 2 3/4 backset. The latch is already set up for either of these backsets as is. Let us know if you have other questions. Thanks.
Thank you soo much for this video to install hall closet door knob. So amazing and easy for me being 70 this year. I am grateful ❤️
We thank you for your feedback! We value your opinion and thank you for being a Schlage Customer.
Very well put together....I REALLY LIKED the fact that you provided measurements at the beginning.........thank you!!!!!!!!!
Hm.... 3:02 to 3:07 - the plate doesn't pop off as easily as shown in the video!

For new build installation, this should also show the striker plate installation, i.e. line up etc.

What are the dimensions of your latch bore?
Hi there. They are 1" x 2 1/4". Let us know if you have other questions. Thanks!
My latch twists when I turn the handle, then catches and makes an audible click when I release the handle… none of my other latitudes handles do this
