That's what the straps are for so you don't have to wrestle then into place. ALWAYS cut the strap afterwards.
😂😂👌🏼
Rookie mistake lol
How are u going to precharge them four or five times without cutting strap, lol
@@georgenovotny4421 dont have to they will precharge when in use

I just replaced mine two hours ago, and I was wondering why my hangers were crooked. But they look exactly like yours. I’m not tripping out anymore 😂
Yeah
I’d like to set up an appointment for shocks on my truck. Next week if possible, Thanks
Nice work.
i like the fact you show how to work w the shock already open because i jus bought a prerunner n i gotta tune my LT shocks but i got these rough country w the truck so i can run em while getting my shocks tuned 🤘🏻🔥 nice video man💯
Thanks man!! 🙏🏼
The deep well socket is for the nut side. Generally it is easier to hold the bolt side and loosen/ tighten the nut side.
Now I can do mine, great video 👍💯
I noticed the shocks on Amazon had different measurement like 0-3", is that according to any lift that you may have? And if so, I don't currently have a lift on mine, but I was considering a 2-3" lift eventually. Do you have any recommendations on the sizes i should choose?
Is that why you don’t cut the piece holding down the hydrolic rod
How did you like those N3 shocks did they ride good?
Awesome, can u do the front please thanx so much
Did you not have to jack the truck up to replace both rear shocks?
How important is it to let the shock completely expand before installing it?
i am moving to Arizona next year and all the rust i have on my 2005 Silverado 1500 will get sand blasted off driving around there , lol , i got the Gabriel 81921 81922 front and rear shocks $90.00 for both of them
He had a lift kit those shocks are more expensive
Just bought my set, thanks for the link man! How much smoother is your ride?
What size are those tires & rims?
How do you like the rough country shocks over the stock shocks ? Good video.
I like them! They seem to be doing a good job. Thank you!!🙏🏼
Nice Job
Thank you Jesse
I wish my mounting brackets look like yours. Pennsylvania truck. I'm genuinely scared to do this job due to the top brackets looking pretty rough.
Same pa truck and nervous about replacing mine
@@sgthgr8jr13 I got the job done. She held together!
The wholes in the shocks stick out way more then these literally having to pry them in
If possible I would reverse the direction of the shock, ( heavy end at the top ) so that road dirt, sand etc, would not sit on the piston rod and seal.
Good point, thank you!
The install would be wrong. Piston needs to be on the top.
Impact works wonders
My truck rides like garbage, I didn't realize how simple this job looked and the parts are like 50 bucks for 2 new shocks so I'm doing this this summer definitely
what size bolts are the ones in the bottom rears
21mm
What is the torque setting for the rear shocks.
80lbsft
Couldn't believe he cut the strap before hand 😂😂😂😂
Beings the truck to live day & night difference
A nice pair of shock boots would’ve gone a long ways for you brother
Thought that's what the strap was for...
Damn bro is like you got reverse syndrome. You did everything backwards. First you got a ratchet on the nut and a socket on the bolt. You always unscrew the nut. The shocks are tied for the purpose for easy installation.
Just curious, was it really that easy? Not too experienced with mechanical fixes on trucks but would like to learn. Thanks!
yes, fairly simple job, just make sure u have the right parts and tools..
You didn’t Jack the truck up?
No, i compressed the shocks instead
You don’t have to Jack the truck up to change them out?
Not if you can compress the shocks by hand
So thought we all knew this as men and yes even some women but yeah you can always just leave the bands on them from the factory and they’ll slide right in! Also if you got some used, dont have any or just cut em off like a moron then nbd just wrap your head and a small ratchet strap around it in place and get to compressing that bitch and you’ll be golden pony boy
he was skinny or the truck was lifted a little
