- The new Church of Saint Anthony Abbot was inaugurated in 1609, when it was granted the title of parish by Cardinal Borromeo. The church was built next to a small castle belonging to the nobles of Abbiategrasso (Italy). The archbishop of Milan had given permission to demolish the old medieval oratory, which had been built during excavation work on the Naviglio canal. The bell tower was built in the late 18th century above the sacristy, incorporated into the structure when the elegant portico was also built. The tower has five beautiful bells, tuned to the musical scale of A-flat major and cast by the area's leading foundry in 1951.

The bells play the traditional concert, consisting of the musical scales typical of this area. The bells are very fast and therefore very difficult to ring accurately. The video contains some beautiful views of the river and the plain. The place was so famous that it was chosen by the famous director Ermanno Olmi when he made his main film L'albero degli zoccoli, a masterpiece of Italian cinema.
The first parish priest of Castelletto belonged to the nobility and donated all his possessions to build the church and house, which were rebuilt almost from scratch except for some walls dating back to the 13th century with Renaissance and Gothic frescoes. The holy parish priest died in 1629, struck by the terrible plague epidemic that decimated all of Europe. The church is frescoed and decorated with stucco and beautiful paintings, mainly from the 19th century. In addition to a large number of gold and silverware, there is a valuable 14th-century Gothic marble statue of the Madonna and Child.
