- The church in Rosate (Italy) is one of the first churches founded in the diocese of Milan, which is why it has always been the main church in the area. The Longobard church was rebuilt in 1059 in Romanesque style, when the emperor's vassals began to inhabit the area. The wooden framework that supported the five bells began to decay in 1887, which is why it was ordered to stop ringing the bells. The old bells were rebuilt by Barigozzi, who also built the entire octagonal cast-iron belfry, which made the bell tower reach its current height of 48 metres. The monumental work of the Barigozzi brothers lasted in its entirety until 1952, when the sixth bell had to be recast because it was cracked. The eight bells are in B flat major.

For the Easter celebration, we rang the bells according to ancient tradition, despite the tremendous storm with incessant wind and rain. The ringing of bells consists of striking a wooden keyboard, similar to that of a piano, where each key corresponds to a bell. The combination of keys composes melodies like on a piano. We performed popular melodies, some Easter songs by famous artists, and the traditional musical repertoire.
The history of the church dedicated to St Stephen begins in the 7th century; this church was rebuilt with the arrival of the noble counts, who increased the importance of the church until 1797, when the French invaders abolished the tradition that had made this collegiate church the centre of faith and culture of the entire plain. In 1836, the structure was completely rebuilt to its current size. In 2010, the ancient keyboard was restored, and in 2022, the bells were given new strings.
