    There's a big thing you're missing here, which is that in all of these battles Todo had a *second* person to swap with. Straight hands, no assistance, fighting Todo becomes an entirely different playing field. Instead of going all out straight up, Nanami's main strat in a fight like this is simple. Run away, and wait for overtime. Boogie Woogie is a lot less disorienting the less targets Todo has to swap with. In fights like this he's completely reliant on finding a way to hax his way out of danger, or hax his opponent into danger. But if he is the only one he can swap with, that becomes a lot more straightforward.

    • @BrokenRonin
      @BrokenRonin  Год назад +280

      1. Todo can simply swap with Nanami himself, something that Mahito says is disorienting on its own
      2. Todo can use his terrain and imbue objects with trace amounts of ce to switch with, which he does in Shibuya
      3. Nanami is slower than Todo, so running isn't viable whatsoever.
      4. Even if Boogie Woogie isn't viable, Todo's speed scaling is significantly better than Nanami's

      Todo's only two ways to use boogie woogie in a 1v1 are "throw CE charged rock" & "swap with opponent". This video treats yuji weirdly. It’s stated over and over and over again in shibuya that yuji has improved ce control, aswell as getting stronger after eating fingers, we also know that yujis BF buffs post GW stay because todo literally mentions that’s how that works. It also kinda fails to mention that yuji and mahito are effectively crippled and are running below 40% of their usual strengths before they hit 120%

    • @jocoolshow
      @jocoolshow Год назад +24

      There’s also Yuji with poor to below average combat applicable CE control in Goodwill with less fingers being stated to be physically stronger than Todo…by Todo
      Then Yuji gets coached on CE Manipulation by Todo, improves in skill, uses Black Flash, understands CE more to the point where the difference in understanding is like heaven and earth, trains after goodwill, goes through the death painting arc, grows in his mindset and being able to kill ESO (with mindset being important for growth in JJK), uses BF again and understands CE even deeper, eats another finger and gets buffed, and then finally after all of this, in Shibuya he’s considered to be a rival to Nanami in terms of physical ability, which means not counting 7:3 Ratio or Overtime
      Granted by the end of Shibuya Yuji is way stronger when Todo shows up, but Todo downscales from Yuji and Mahito who’ve been beating each other to death rather than scaling to their full power

    Nanami should be far stronger physically as Shibuya Yuji is physically compared to Base Nanami but even counting 7:3 damage amps or Overtime, while Todo was physically inferior to Goodwill Yuji *before* Todo taught Yuji how to manipulate CE properly and before Yuji got amped by like, 6 Black Flashes between Goodwill and Death Painting Arc, and another finger eaten in the death painting arc
    Todo did get stronger between Goodwill and Shibuya, though Todo downscales to a moderately injured and weakened Yuji and Mahito rather than fully scaling. It’s to the point where Yuji can physically react to and move to Mahito when he uses his Domain before Todo can even use a simple Domain. So there’s a big physical difference between Nanami and Todo
    Only issue is Boogie Woogie can make up for speed gaps as it’s disorientating, and he can swap away Nanami’s weapon. But Nanami doesn’t need his weapon, so if Nanami lands a counter or two, Todo might be done, but if Todo doesn’t get hit he can wear Nanami down

    In a 1v1, while Todo’s swapping is disorienting and running away probably isn’t likely. All Nanamin would need to do is place on the counter offensive. Especially if he were able to go into Overtime, the time it takes for Todo to clap and strike should certain be something you can react to. Even if you can’t instantly react, you can anticipate and plan for countering like reinforcing your back, blindspots, etc. If Nanamin can land a single counter, or block, he could in theory activate Ratio and immediately disable whatever part of Todo it connects with.

    I strongly disagree, Toudou may give Nanami a tough time since he's very strong on hand to hand but there's no scenario in where Toudou wins because in a 1 vs 1 his technique is basically useless, the only thing he can switch places with will be Nanami's weapon but that's just it, and a single hit from Nanami's technique will deal horrendous damage to Toudou so in a hand to hand fight Nanami holds a HUGE advantage over anybody even if his opponent is on the same level as him.

      @@bolt2134 I don’t see how that makes his ability useless in a 1v1 (against Nanami). Nanami relies on his cursed weapon to deal most of his damage. If Todo can find a rock or something to infuse cursed energy into, he could easily switch its place with Nanami’s weapon. If he can’t he could just switch places with Nanami’s weapon. It would probably lead to an awkward interaction but Todo would be successful on separating him from his weapon. At that point it’s straight hands and we know Todo has the advantage.

In the Hanami fight, Todo had himself, Hanami, Yuji, and Playful Cloud. Adding to the disorienting effects. While in the Mahito fight he had himself, Mahito, and Yuji. In this scenario he would only have Nanami to swap with. Decreasing the effects of his technique. • @itsstorm_szn

    Honestly, I feel like it may be a bit closer due to the fact that Nanami was initially the first person to ever perform 4 consecutive black flashes and we haven't seen him pushed to that point later on. Todo was able to learn how to perform it once. I really feel like if he was the first one to connect a strike without any hesitation he could very much likely win especially if he's the first one to land a hit. Purely off of the lethality of cutting power, if Todo messes up and loses a hand then it makes the fight pretty much impossible for him since as we saw his ability is restricted to hand clapping only even though he'll perform other claps on his body as a distraction. It's merely a question of if he can or not.

    I don't find the basis for downplaying Nanami's durability to be objective. If anything, this is the same person who survived multiple sure-kill attacks of 30% in Dagon's domain, survived a point blank fire attack from Jogo, and was able to continue living and even fighting, albeit, low tier transfigured humans, unlike Maki, who was not as badly injured in domain (i won't bring up Naobito, since he had 70% of Domain SK effect dedicated to him and was struck by a much powerful attack from Jogo).
    Anywho, I REALLY doubt that Nanami, a veteran in CE manipulation, would be dealt with by a few off guard attacks of the man, who was relative in his AP to a Goodwill Event Yuji and was not able to put Fushiguro down in two hits.
    Also, i believe that you are forgetting, that Todo was that effective against Mahito and Hanami not only due to his CT, but because of Yuji as well.
    One on one, it'll be much harder for him to both inflict significant damage and avoid Ratio technique attacks from someone, who is adjusting to much less disorienting Boogie Woogie, since there is less room for variaty and switching.
    (Yeah, i know that Todo can imbue objects with CE, yeah, that also takes time and worked so far, only on a Polymorphic Isomer transfigured human, not on an actually competent fighter).
    In conclusion, i believe that this fight is much closer than BR thinks, and Todo should be really worried about getting attacked by Ratio technique, because one/two clean hits - he is a goner.
    P.S. I am both Nanami and Todo fanboy, and while Todo is narratively more impressive and has unquestionably more raw talent and potential, since he is an intelligent 18 year old 1 grade sorcerer, fighting a 28 year old sorcerer, has SD, unlike Nanami (which is a BS on Nanami's part), who should have learned that instead of going on his hiatus, all grade 1 sorcerers have something against domain: Kusakabe, Mei Mei, Todo, Zenins with FBE, Mechamaru, Miwa with NSS.
    Then again, Todo inherited SD from Yuki, he had her as a master, and Miwa inherited it from Kusakabe, and Kokichi was only using it in a tube.

    Could you not make the arguement that in a 1-on-1 fight Boogie Woogie is infinitely more easier to deal with since part of what made it so disorienting is that Todo had the option of either:
    1) Switching with his opponent
    2) Switching with his partner (being Yuji)
    3) Switching his partner with his opponent
    and maybe,
    4) Switching himself, his partner, or his opponent with a cursed tool.

    Can you do Nanami vs Kusakabe ?

    Or if Nanami and Todohave the same resistance (physical), Todo took a black flash from Mahito and survived, if we consider Nanami can survived at least 1 Todo black flash, and Todo would be destroyed by a Nanami black flash with his ratio technique (just like in JJK0) we can also say Nanami have a high chance of winning

    This was a great video but to me I personally think you should either severely lower the audio of the effects youre using or refrain from usin gthem and rather use a rnb beat or similar list. This is a discussion based video, I think audio effects and meme sounds really detract from the point and makes the context a lot less impactful.

    I think the other reason why nanami told her to hang back is also his personality …he is the adult it’s his responsibility…it’s something that stuck with me when he said that to yuji

    For the next one, I’m kinda curious about the disaster cursed versus current fushiguro

      @jameith4904 Год назад +13

      Unfortunately the disaster curses STOMP. Let's see why:
      - All of the disaster curses have extremely hax abilities as well as durability and strength + hand-to-hand that far exceed anything that Megumi could possibly reach
      - Hanami alone is enough to take care of even the current Megumi considering he couldn't even scratch her without Totality back in the Kyoto arc, although he has had a few amps since then.
      - Megumi could barely even react to Toji which is a good feat for him, but Toji still hit him anyway, and was using Playful Cloud. If Jogo was attacking him ranged wise, he would honestly kill Megumi on that note.
      - Mahito is also enough on his own to kill Megumi since he has one of the most haxed and versatile techniques in the series, considering he doesn't even need to touch Megumi to even attack him. Megumi does not know the shape of his soul or Mahito's, meaning his attacks have absolutely no effect. Even with shikigami.
      - Megumi would have died to Dagon if it wasn't for his own Domain limiting Dagon's. His domain is incomplete and isn't enough to kill the disaster curses.
      However, if Megumi releases Mahoraga, it's a much different story
      Megumi will end up dying to Mahoraga, but Mahoraga only needs a SCRATCH to kill each of the disaster curses with the Sword of Extermination. On top of this, even if they manage to dodge Mahoraga (which was able to react and counter someone like 15F Sukuna), they will end up making useless and pointless attacks that Mahoraga will only end up adapting to. Sure hits from a domain? Adapts, and counters. Barriers? Adapts, counters. Mahoraga will be able to survive the first Idle Transfiguration since Nanami subconsciously countered his attack, and adapts, and counters. Meteor? Dodged, adapts, counters. So essentially, Mahoraga>Disaster curses>Fushiguro
