    For the entire series people have been commenting about the potential of megumi's technique, Gojo himself stating that a previous user of the 10 shadows was able to match a six eyes+limitless user, but for the majority of the series megumii's technique felt like a bag of mixed tricks rather than a godly ability like Gojo's techniques. The fact that Sukuna was able to win the fight pretty much only using 10 shadows finally demonstrates how broken the ability is.

      That's exactly how I feel. One of the reasons that Sukuna used 10S from a narrative perspective was to show us how potentially powerful Megumi can be.

      well, he didn't mention anything about his student and only mentioned sukuna and how he is not even trying that hard. and Sukuna is going to massacre all of his beloved students, the future that he is trying to build. Among all the people Gojo is probably the one who understands the most of what will happen if he dies. Respect your opinion but I think that even the dialogue is not that good, it just makes Gojo from a good and benevolent teacher to a hard-headed that only craves power and fun, which completely contradicts everything that has built up for Gojo from the start. Gojo is goofy, but also responsible, and chapter 236 not only ends him off-screen but screws his character overall.

    225 was my favorite chapter of the fight, I’ve never seen a power system handled so well that it allows for an entire chapter of characters debating how these two abilities will interact. All that build up just for Sukuna to easily destroy Gojo’s domain and slice his neck. Also I always read it that they did tell Gojo about the open domain, but even Gojo had no idea what they would actually do so he only had one option, to just try it and see what would happen

    • @vayne-he9yi
      @vayne-he9yi 10 месяцев назад +12

      Yeah, I'm not sure why everyone is so convinced he wasn't told about it. Nobody in that room even knows how an open domain would interact with a closed one, so it's not like Gojo would have done anything differently either way. It only came into play because the refinement of the two domains was equal (which is such a rare scenario). If Gojo gets into a domain battle with Kenjaku for example, he would simply overpower Kenny before the open barrier even plays a role. So it's very likely Gojo knew, I don't see the argument that he didn't.

      @@gabington8990nah, implication from throughout the series is that he’s arguably stronger now, as the fingers grow in power everyday. But I do believe he wasn’t holding back any actual physical strength but techniques that aren’t really effective against Gojo, but for anyone else it would be. That’s my take on it. I also think Gojo and Kusakabe are unreliable sources for this since from Gojo’s perspective he just got one shotted by cleave and most likely didn’t hear a single thing Sukuna said, so he probably just assumed Sukuna had that cleave from the start or something similar, and Kusakabe was just theorizing since it would be the most logical way he can think of for Sukuna to approach the battle. Especially when we have statements from Sukuna contrasting Gojo’s statements saying that without Mahoraga’s adaptation he probably wouldn’t have won, it brings Kusakabe and Gojo’s beliefs into question.

    I liked the part where you mentioned the mindsets these 2 had before coming in the fight.
    Its not like Gojo wasn't trying to win but its just that he wasn't as desperate as Sukuna. Sukuna did EVERYTHING right. Trying to adapt to UV, not using Mahoraga until the perfect moment. He had Gojo noted down and used perfect tactics against him. Whereas for Gojo, he threw what he could even ignoring the damage that he's causing to himself (he def didn't think he had a random nosebleed). He used Hollow Purple at the very start, he was just excited to throw everything which is why he was looking for validation from Sukuna like when he used Falling Blossom Emotion.
    As for Sukuna, he was different. he could've spammed Shikigamis, could've spammed dismantles, could've used an unadapted Mahoraga just to get more assist but he didn't cuz his main objective was to kill Gojo and not just cure his loneliness.
    All an all this isn't trying to powerscale. Sukuna was more calculative than Gojo, still my man did a really good job even when the opponent knew all his cards.

    I think what made the true difference in this battle wasn't their stats and skill but their experience. We see that when they domain clash they are equal when they throw hand they are equal when they fight using curse technics they are equal. They both have unlimited stamina they can both surprise and outbox each other they can both break established rules and push sorcery to its limits and beyond but what made the true difference was their knowledge and understanding of the nature of curses and cursed energy. Gojo has the six eyes and with that comes supreme understanding and control of curse energy but sukuna is over a thousand years old he not only has greater control and understanding of curse energy then Gojo but greater knowledge and verity in his cursed Arsenal and application of that course energy that is why he could adapt and bypass infinity that is why he can pick up a new curse technic and use it better then all it's users ever have that is why every time Gojo seemed to do thee impossible sukuna matched him by doing the Same and that is why he is the king of all curses.
    If Gojo had a thousand years he would have won no doubt in my mind but he only had 28 and despite the sheere gap in knowledge and experience he was still able to go toe to toe with the king of all curses and even make him nervous that alone speaks volumes of his talent and strength.

    Sukuna being able to use Max elephant's water without summoning it was something that foreshadowed him using mahoraga's adaptation as a blueprint since the consciousness seems to be shared between him and his shikigami
    The moment Gojo's loss was solidified was the moment mahoraga successfully sliced through gojo's infinity cause that showed sukuna exactly how to do it
    He does state that mahoraga was capable of altering the very essence of it's cursed energy in order to neutralize infinity but that was something sukuna was unable to do
    But the moment mahoraga could use dismantle to slice through gojo's infinity, sukuna finally knew what had to be done to finally beat Gojo

    A chapter or 2 of sukuna slowly figuring out how to adapt his slashes to infinity as well as showing gojo getting more fatigued and moving slower would have been nice cause now u just having gojo being offed from an advantageous position. Especially when hes been shown to have had the speed advantage for most of the fight and is now amped on top of it. So sukuna instantly blitzing him while weak makes no sense. And gege probably knew it looked really bad so he just put in the part saying sukuna was holding back as an explanation but all that means is sukuna is incompetent cause he put himself into alot of bad situations multiple times just to test maho i guess which also goes against his character since we know hes prideful and wont let himself look bad on propose.

      You were not paying attention, Sukuna's cleave is fast as hell the very first cleave he threw a Gojo. Gojo had to turn around and see what the hell Sukuna had done because he saw the building behind him slashed and Gojo put two and two together. Gojo was not only further way in that panel and couldn't dodge it especially if he had to turn around because he couldnt see what had happened. I've been looking for a measured take on this fight for weeks, feeling insane that people have been so down on it because people just. Don't know how to handle the emotional position of reading weekly manga. Thank you for having such a good perspective. What I WILL say, though, is that I think it's not unintentional that the dialogue goes towards characterizing the peanut gallery and their understandings of jujutsu and the fight itself.
    Gojo and Sukuna exchange barbs but at the end of the day, as the strongest of their eras, they're conversing THROUGH jujutsu. Fights are dialogue too and their back and forth with domains and fists help them speak to each other more directly than words have ever touched them. Are there some raw things Gojo could've said? Sure! But the fact that he improvised an on the fly Hollow Purple responding to Sukuna's moves in just such a way to have him experience its full force all to get him to realize just how much fun jujutsu is says just as much as a stray line of dialogue imo. In a genre like battle shonen where fights do so much to characterize people, I think its important to remember that conflict is conversation.

    I think chapter 236 adds context to the entire fight and made me reevaluate why it was presented the way it was: two gods of the verse, whom nobody (except possibly Kashimo, the "God of Lightning") can understand, trying to comprehend not only their techniques, but the two personalities and minds at play. For a while, I was wondering about what kind of emotion these two were feeling, the lack of animosity between them, but in light of 236 where Gojo explains that even his attempts at humor (in the TCB translations I think) were done in an attempt to reach Sukuna (to assuage Gojo's own unbearable burden of loneliness), gave me an incredible moment of clarity. They don't hate each other at all, they want to fight, they want to experience living.
    Calling Gojo a meathead because he enjoys fighting is disingenuous, just like Kashimo isn't a meathead, nor is Sukuna. Think about what are cursed techniques? Something to do with your brain, something to do with your soul. We exist in this world mind, body, soul entirely. For them to enjoy fighting, the expression of their soul and their way of interacting and viewing the world, is to enjoy living.

    I think there's an important aspect about the way sukuna was able to cut gojo from a narrative standpoint. The story consistently lays down the thesis that the strongest are the greediest and most selfish, therefore the most isolated. While gojo still had some inclination both toward the approval of sukuna himself and his colleagues, sukuna developed a technique to cut into 'existence' itself, which essentially means seeing himself apart from - and against - everything. It seems very intentional that we're shown those things on the same chapter. Yeah gojo was kind of a psycho, but still a guy with bonds and people to look after. Sukuna has now become a curse who sees literally everything as something to cut. And without a challenger like Gojo, he is probably at his loneliest, putting the story at the perfect and most extreme spot to really prove or disprove that thesis. And since you CANNOT defeat sukuna in a battle of greed, there's gotta be another way.

    In chapter 230 sukuna states that "Next time I will close the barrier of my domain and you will have nowhere to run" that means sukuna uses a barrierless domain that provides an escape route, this drastically increases the range of guaranteed hit through the compensation law of a Binding vow.

    I think my problem with this chapter is not the individual points/explanations/insight that we get. It’s more the combination of them all to justify what happened. After reading this fight back I start to think what was the point of sukuna getting 10 shadows from a writing perspective? The obvious answer is that he needed mahoraga to show him how to use cleave to target existence and bypass infinity. But that explanation implies that this is technically something he potentially could’ve thought of on his own. Then we get into the idea that sukuna is so strong that nobody could reach him and he is lonely at the top. If this is true then again why would Gege give him the 10 shadows? A blatant power up. Cause then we see gojo say that he probably couldn’t beat sukuna even without the 10 shadows. I understand the argument that sukuna is a villain of course he is going to do everything he can to win including fight dirty but to me that doesn’t make sense if he’s supposed to be lonely at the top, you would think it would be a situation more like kenpachi where he would try to make things as challenging as possible to enjoy the fight the most. That to me would mean using his own abilities and trying to figure out a way past gojo’s CT on his own. I’m definitely rambling but I feel like there’s a good amount of contradictions embedded here that I haven’t seen people piece together so maybe I’m missing something

So bro needed to pull a jail break, it is implied that there is a gap between Gojo and Sukuna but it isn't wide enough for Sukuna to get away with killing Gojo and not getting immediately one tapped by the students so bro saw the chess piece that allows him freedom, a win possibility combined with survival, and a chance to get even stronger. I dont think that knowing if Sukuna had an open or closed domain mattered. Gojo has absolutely no experience at all fighting an open domain prior to this point, and Sukuna is such a master at manipulating cursed energy that it probably didn't matter if Gojo knew about it or not. • @Carmeniooptc
    @Carmeniooptc 10 месяцев назад +2

    My only issue with the conclusion of this fight is that it was not consistent with the rest of the battle, feeling more like an ass pull rather than foreshadow. If I understood this correctly, Sukuna’s cut was not stronger, it didn’t have “more power”, it just was able to bypass infinity completely. The thing is, if that is the case, then sukuna shouldn’t be able to hit kill gojo with 1 slash. During the domain clashes, when Sukuna was able to trap gojo in his domain, he cut gojo several times, and as we know, the sure hit effect of domains negate curse techniques. I would even argue that the cuts inside the domain should theoretically be stronger since it was established in the story that once inside a domain, the user gets a passive buff on his powers.
    Having that in mind plus the fact that apparently gojo had his curse energy completely replenished and was also in the zone (making his senses hit the max), I still can’t understand how that cut was enough to kill gojo. I know that who stated that was an outside sorcerer (and we know that sometimes those statements may be incorrect) but I still can’t find any sense in affirming that and then killing him off. It would have made way more sense if the story made you believe that gojo was in a vulnerable state before the slash and not at full power (he was arguably at 120% giving the sequence of black flashes).

    10 Shadows was probably the safest option for Sakuna to beat Gojo. If he has no hidden technique to use against Infinity his best bet without 10 Shadows would be to win the Domain Battle. It would be a Sakuna going all in the Domain Battle, not wasting resources on 10 Shadows like he did in the fight, and perhaps make sacrifices if needed like a binding vow to give up his domain after killing Gojo.

    Sukuna holding back plus Gojo getting off screened ruins the fight for me. Sukuna holding back was completely unnecessary from a narrative perspective. There are two in the universe mechanics that could have him go from 10% to 120% easily. He has RTC to heal any physical wounds Gojo leaves on him and he could have pulled off a black flash to bring out 120 % of his potential and bring his curse energy output back up. So why does he need to be holding back unless he's just that much stronger than Gojo? If that's true then I can't look at the fight the same.
    And yes I am a Gojo stand but I always knew he had to die for the narrative.

    All I want in the coming chapters is a REASON, from both a narrative and logical perspective for Gojo's unsealing. Because at this point it seems like all he succeeded in doing was making Sukuna even more broken. Is Sukuna permanently maimed from the fight? Did he give his students some hyper training in the timeskip that's going to pay off later? I know the gang didn't just break that boy out the box just to sit there and watch him die on pay-per-view...

    But doing so he will break the binding vow and end up dieing or something worse

While Gojo *does* care about saving people (he would not have expressed relief when ichiji told him all the humans exposed to UV had made a full recovery otherwise) and raising strong allies to change the corrupt jujutsu world, those are all things he does *because* he is a jujutsu sorcerer. Hes a *jujutsu sorcerer* because he enjoys it. Its for his own satisfaction. Nanami wasn't rejecting Gojo's ideals, he was just stating how he was different from everyone else.

      Especially after him getting sealed. He had this same attitude of "everything will be fine. My students can deal with it" before getting sealed and look where it landed. Sukuna causing havoc and mass murder, taking over Megumi, entire culling games, higher ups turning on the main cast. The main casts entire goal through culling games was to release Gojo because they were so hopeless on their own.
      Remember when people believed that Gojo would go mad or berserk after being released due to everything that happened?
      And now after all that, he still has the same attitude. Like he learned nothing from the last time.
      Everything went to shit the last time I was sealed that the whole crew's main goal was to release me because they were so hopeless. Really liked the video. Well done. I agree with you on a lot of the points but what I wanted to discuss was the “character flare” and peanut gallery commentary.. like you said at the end of the video I do think the true value of all of that was to show how much the students were paying attention and how much and why they learned to be more creative and free. I think this is especially true for Yuta since his entire understanding of RCE has changed and he fundamentally had a misunderstanding of it. Cause I think he trained in the last month to learn how to copy the 6 eyes and how they will inevitably foil kenjaku again…. But that’s for another day…. I think as it comes to the no personality not only is it fully in Sakuna character it highlight the theme of the fight….. Sakuna vs bug lady was weak cause everyone thought she was a weirdo but she introduced one of the most important themes. And even as we look into kashimo fight Sakuna is opening by saying essentially you talk alot. I don’t think he enters battle with any intent of opening up, of trying to understand or be understood. He intention is linear and focused… to unalive his opponent. He never even explains his CT ever. Unlike almost all bad guys I’m cartoons. He never runs his mouth or explains his plan. So he was never going to give you character. You did highlight in your video how Sakuna was really only nervous when Gojo output retuned. I think we didn’t get much inside his mind because as you said… Sakuna was in control the whole time and I think that would have made it anticlimactic if at every turn Sakuna goes “just as I planned”…. It also highlights as you said how Gojo was never the guy to show Sakuna about love and Gojo talks about this as says he put everything including his humor….. I think that this criticism will be challenged when Sakuna fights Yugi/Megumi….. he will go all out and he will open up

    i dont think the cast didnt warn gojo about sukunas barrierless domain, BUT instead gojo didnt know how it would interact with hes own domain. there was only 1 way to find out since the concept of a barrierless domain is super rare and gojo had never encountered one. chapter 235 was TOP tier fiction like you said! the enchanting, the creative way gojo pulled of the last hollow purple, mahoraga being adapter to blue... PEAK! aaaaaand all it just be thrown out the window by chapter 236. the latest chapter makes it feel like everything we saw before had been forgotten. gojo talks about sukuna not going all out, but sukuna literally said that if gojo pulled of another hollow purple, it would be fatal... then we see him smiling on 236 like he just brushed off that hollow purple. 236 made the fight go from the two gods of the verse going all out in a battle to the death, to a kind of meh battle that had no real stakes, all it did was completely downplay the entire fight. You could argue that since Gojo doesn't actually know how Sukuna won his statement could be wrong, but until we see Sukuna's train of thought that's just headcanon. Anyway, you know the ending is bad when you kill your most beloved character off screen and leave both parties disappointed.

  • @suhaybkabir2613
    @suhaybkabir2613 7 месяцев назад +1

    There is still a lot of arguements about whether Sukuna could have won the fight without megumi's technique. I think that he could have. Sukuna went in to the fight with a different mentality than gojo. He wanted to grow stronger than he was before and the key to that was mahoraga. He planned on using mahoraga from the very beginning. He took hits from infinite void purposefully over 5 domain clashes taking it so that mahoraga could adapt and get it out of the way. But that becomes a problem when gojo exceeds expectation and damages his brain to the point where he cant use the domain either. If Sukuna were to be in Yuji's body having full control over him even then he would have won. Sukuna, knowing that he cannot take any hits from infinite void would be much more cautious. The 1st domain battle, sukuna wins and destroys gojo and gojo he heals his technique back to the second battle. This time gojo inverted the conditions making the outside barrier stronger than the inside but sukuna in megumi's body took a risk of destroying it from the outside rather than the inside, gojo didn't understand why he took that risk until chapter 230. In Yuji's body he would be able to destroy the domain again from the inside and then outside and hurt gojo again with the oncoming slashes of malevolent shrine. After this they kept slugging it out with sukuna seeming slowing down healing and losing hand to hand. But if this happened when he is in Yuji's body he would realize that he is slowing down. This was when mahoraga first appeared which happened because Sukuna wanted mahoraga to adapt to it. If he didn't have mahoraga he could just use domain amplification to negate gojo's domain and place his own domain. As this happens again and again Sukuna would be able to endure it more since he had to destroy his brain and heal it less than gojo. Sukuna would not have taken any prior hits from infinite void either therefore would not have had as much damage while gojo would be worse off. Gojo would lose the ability to open his domain and Sukuna would still have it. Sukuna could close his barriers and have killed gojo in the domain. Even if gojo does open his domain once more Sukuna would not have had as much damage to his brain as in 230 it stated that because of so many hits from the domain Sukuna could not use his domain either. Plus he also had a full extra life where he turned to curse form. I can only make assumptions here but this transformation could also heal his brain and domain and he would be able to use his domain while gojo can't.

    I think during this fight declaring Gojo the winner at the end then offing him off screen was Gege's way of saying, "See this is the problem I created for myself, he is way too strong". He just wanted to showcase the character he made even though now with upgraded Sukuna he may have possibly written himself into a corner as now there is nothing Sukuna cannot cut. Granted Sukuna cannot recover as we see his arm hasn't recovered or his face. It was interesting also hearing Gojo thinking he might still lose even if ten shadows wasn't there (granted I don’t think he knows Sukuna compensated to be at full strength) while on the other hand Sukuna acknowledging Maharoga (Dad) as a magnificent role model for him to be able to learn a technique that was even incredible difficult for him to pull off. As a Gojo fan, I am glad Gojo was able to die with a smile on his face and Sukuna probably will see Gojo as the only person to ever match him. Thunder god ain’t on their levels

    Gojo was hurt by Hollow Purple because its a BS OP attack skill. Isn’t it a creation destroying attack that erases everything? Sakuna called it lethal for even him and is Gojo's ultimate attack. Its not surprising it can erase even Infinity. Its the only move Sakuna had no real method of overcoming. If Gojo didn't need any prep time and could spam it Sakuna would have lost.
    Sakuna's space slash. Maharaga first adapted to Infinity, then went further to come up with a way to use Cleave to get through Infinity. When Maharaga slashed Gojo with Cleave it showed a model of a technique Sakuna could use. So Sakuna didn't learn adaption, he learned the slashing technique to overcome Infinity.

    Great video, I think I agree with all your points for the most part. For me, the weekly fanfare made this fight 10x better than it actually is. Not to say that it was a bad fight, but it definitely isn’t the best fight in the series so far. I wish we got more dialogue between Gojo and Sukuna or even just a few more panels of what they were thinking as the fight went on. Regardless what ranking I give the fight as a whole, it’s undeniable the hype that’s created whenever you have two powerhouses clash no matter what series it is. I don’t think I’ve been as hype for a fight, reading weekly, since Meliodas vs Noon Escanor lmao but I also rarely keep up with ongoing series as they release.
    The biggest nitpick I have with the fight is the conclusion. I’m a huge Gojo fan, but I wasn’t expecting him to destroy Sukuna by any means. I’m also a huge Sukuna fan so my problem definitely isn’t with the final outcome. I just think the final sequence was poorly done. Going from one page of “Gojo wins” to instant death / afterlife kinda ruined the end for me. I would rather it of been a few panels of dialogue, Sukuna makes a ending remark / small attack motion, and then go into the afterlife sequence. It would’ve sit better with me if that was the case. Hell, you could’ve even had Sukuna giving his explanation of adaptation first and then go about having the afterlife conversation. Just mix the panels around basically. Still just as sudden, unexpected, etc but it would just read better imo. Either way, I enjoyed the fight and am honestly more excited for the future of the series than I was before this fight even started.

Gojo is fighting at a disadvantage the entire fight and he has to outsmart sukuna at every turn just to keep the fight going and then sukuna just pulls out a space cleave off screen and is revealed to apparently not have been giving it his all. Gojo should've beat sukuna, proving he's the "strongest" but sukuna pulls out a trick, either his ct or yozuru gift, to come out the winner. Gojo wins in spirit but sukuna is more focused on survival and winning in general. Also sukuna is way to powerful to be taken down now without an ass pull, Gojo was op but restricted by being a hero but sukuna is stronger and doesn't have this hindrances.

    Hear me out. I agree with everything you’ve mentioned about Gojo and his selfishness to look for the thrill in a battle just as Netero was. This is fight is very similar to Netero vs Meruems battle, it’s almost identical. The most obvious attack being hollow purple, it is comparable to Neteros last trump card. We know that Sukuna wasn’t finished but what if hollow purple has a post effect, it’s just taking slowly killing sukuna, like it did with Meruem. Now it’s just a matter of time remaining on his life, but he’s still very dangerous so everyone’s gets a turn with him until he inevitably dies. I think the close you are to hollow purple the more damage you take, this might be why Gojo actually took damage and was weaken enough for sukuna to kill with the last blow. We know that the closer you are to purple the higher the damage.

    The ending of this fight was inconsistent with everything we have witnessed so far. It was like Gojo was fighting to enjoy this fight, it was all about the pleasure not protecting something valuable to you. He not only went out like fodder, but he didn't even express any faith or concern that his students will be butchered next. It was so anticlimactic

    I guess my biggest criticism with this fight is that it ultimately did nothing to advance the story in some way. No new plot points were revealed. None of the many, MANY loose threads were expanded upon. None of the characters' goals have changed. We ended the fight in the same narrative position where we started, only team good guy is down 1 fighter and team bad guy lost a chunk of its health bar. This fight, for all its technical intricacies, can be boiled down to, 'they fight, Gojo looses'. It just feels disappointing that, given 2ish months to prepare the best plan the heroes could come up with was apply Satoru Gojo to the problem and hope it goes away.

    To be honest I have no problems with Gojo dying, at least from a narrative standpoint. It's HOW he died that got me and most people HEATED. Here are my 4 main points that warrant the outrage:
    1. At the end of Ch 235 we were left off with a Gojo looking Triumphant and a Sukuna who's in a very bad spot. Only for Ch 236 to hit us with Gojo being greeted by his dead friends and the next panel of Gojo's cut off torso.
    It was like they forgot to put the cause and process, only leaving the Effect. I legit thought I skipped a page or two.
    2. "He would've beaten me even without Megumi's 10 Shadows."
    Gojo you're my guy but you know damn well that's cap because if that were the case why go through the trouble of body jacking Megumi for a cursed technique that's essentially a shortcut to bypass your Infinity if he could've still found a way by himself? Do you not hear how contradictory that sounds?
    3. I believe that we can all agree that its true Sukuna still hasn't revealed all the cards he has (black box, yorozu gift, etc). His victory would've been more believable.....if 90 percent of the whole fight wasn't just Gojo outsmarting him and giving him fatal blows at least 4 times and by the near end of Ch 235 Sukuna being hella nervous and literally shouting for Mahoraga's help, not mention being completely f*cked up after the Hollow Nuke. Even if there were subtle hints that Sukuna was cooking something up they should've made it MORE OBVIOUS to convince us.
    4. Out of all the different ways to kill off a major plot-relevant character, Gege just HAD to choose the infamous OFF SCREEN.
    To end this off, let me give you an example: Imagine Goku was beating the crap out Frieza after none his attacks worked on Goku that's how that Chapter ends. Next Chapter, is just Goku's lifeless corpse.
    Make any sense to you?
    Like how do you from intense build-up, exhilarating start, crazy rising action that got you on the edge of your seat, and back & forth falling action. Only for an otherwise bamboozling and confusing ending to come out of nowhere?

    • @MonkeyDEneru
      @MonkeyDEneru 10 месяцев назад

      But gojo was never beating up sukuna. U guys aren't looking at the details. It didn't matter if gojo was throwing sukuna around when sukuna could use rct, the main objective should have been to get his head of his ody or something anything else and it's useless.

    • @MonkeyDEneru
      @MonkeyDEneru 10 месяцев назад

      And all the fatal blows gojo was dealing aside from purple were all just digging his own grave
      First one was the uv, well sukuna had mahorag to destroy gojos domain which took that uv card out. Next was probably the blackflash which I should add is luck and skill but people fail to mention that and all it did was allow mahorag to adapt, next was the purple, now this one was actually because sukuna overestimated gojo. Sure gojo landed purple and sukuna before said that would be fatal but that was because he thought a 200% purple was around 120% purple but in reality there was still 80% more power. Then he says if he even gets hit with 100% it would be fatal and that's a 20% difference from what he thought he would get hit with but in actuality rhe difference between the stronger purple and the current one was 100%. He overestimated the attack and thought he would die to it. But in the end his plan prevailed. I'd like to say gojo is still the strongest but sukuna is the smartest, being the strongest doesn't mean u will win

    The reason gojo's hollow purple hit him is because it was his own attack. The way gojos infinity works with it needing to be a attack aimed at him or directed at him, so that he can manipulate the space would be the reason his own attack hits him. Because it one wasn't aimed at him two was his own attack and since it was his "win con" he didn't view it as a threat as well. In my opinion it makes complete sense for gojos purple to hurt him, also i am extremely worried for gojo even if he isn't dead, as sukuna could just cut him in half again now that he understands infinity.

    I'm so tired of people throwing out "off screened" or "asspull" etc. We saw 99.9% of the fight. It wasn't like they started and then Gojo was dead. We missed basically a full page spread of Gojo getting slashed and his body falling to the ground. We saw the before and after. The events leading up to that point were either foreshadowed or straight up shown/told to us.
    This ending was meant to be jarring and frustrating. Any possible ending was going to be frustrating or just boring. Good writing can be frustrating.

    Im just a bit confused as to why people are pissed that Sukuna developed a new method of winning this fight when Gojo was doing it the entire time. Stuff like shrinking and remaking the concepts of his domain out of nowhere were said to be impossible, but we accept it because it's Gojo. But then Sukuna makes a new method on the fly and now it's plot armour

      Agree
      Chapter 228 is actually the most important point in this fight. Sukuna had the option to destroy unlimited void from inside. He could've avoided the 3 min fight this way and would never get hit with unlimited void. But at the same time, it's guaranteed that gojo would always get a brain damage after 5 continuous domain expansions. So after domain clashes, gojo would be facing a sukuna who can use domain, while he wouldn't be able to. Gojo's RCT output would also be dropping rapidly. The reason sukuna didn't go for it is probably because staying inside unlimited void for a longer period of time was beneficial for the adaptation process. Gojo and sukuna confirmed that adaptation is gradual. If you read chapter 229, you can see that gojo is actively using limitless to thrash around sukuna inside the domain. It means sukuna even stopped using domain amplification inside domain. This is probably why gojo mentioned he's unsure he could beat sukuna even if he didn't have ten shadows

    • @chatyxd6078
      @chatyxd6078 10 месяцев назад +2

      I think the difference, at least for me, was that Gojo was always on the back foot. Sukuna always had the advantage whether that's his open domain, ten shadows, mahoraga, yozorhu gift, his secret ct. Gojo's powers were already well known so he had to be creative to even the playing field. Sukuna just pulls it out of nowhere and it ends the fight instead of just prolonging the fight.

    I just wonder this: if Sukuna wasn't giving it his all against Gojo, why the need to depict Gojo as utterly dominant in pretty much every area of jujutsu sorcery? The fight could have appeared much closer which would make Gojo's loss seem less contrived.
    Everyone is so caught off guard because the visuals and circumstances showed one thing and the end result and some dialog show another. It's hard to reconcile the incongruity.

    I feel that the lack of dialogue and the “peanut gallery” constantly going off is used as a way to show not only the loneliness at the top but also to show that those two were closer to absolute forces of nature or natural disasters when fighting each other rather than fighters battling it out, Gojos comrades during the fight seemed like spectators to a ufc event rather than comrades. The fear of Gojo losing always had this tone of “oh god what’re we gonna do about sukuna if he loses?” Rather than “my friend/teacher/comrade is going to die” Yuta obviously had that panel of being absolutely pissed after Gojo died but for the most part to me it felt as if they treated the fight like a recording of people they didn’t know. The two of them were truly alone in that fight, none of the surrounding consequences or circumstances mattered at that moment it’s like Gege put them in a narrative domain. They didn’t care about what was going to happen afterwards, all they could focus on was just fighting it out as 2 borderline psychotic forces of nature that practically waved away everything that would restrict any other sorcerer or any other curse.
