Soo, I got myself a 4k ultra-hd blu-ray player.. Thanks to Jeff at the Films At Home channel who got me into investing in this. I also tried out a new lavalier mic from Boya. Seems to work, I did a lot mixing and mastering to the sound in this one. Getting there...
I love movies and has always done. And I wanna experience them in the best way possible. Physical media has been a thing a really like, I use to buy CD:s, DVD:s, blu-rays and now 4k blu-rays. Only 90s kidz can relate to the CD ;)
I mean it's still the best quality you can get when it comes to music or movies. Physical media beats streaming by far, not always that much of a different but on the other side it's great to be able to own it for yourself. If you want more on this subject, you know what to do. Maybe a video of my film collection so far, It's not that much but It's only great movies ;)

If your 4K discs start freezing, then you have to turn off 4K upscaling in your settings. Otherwise, it’s a great player.

That’s awesome to hear mate! I hope you will have lots of use for it, mine is working very good so far. Tips for some great quality 4k discs: No time to die 007, Jurassic Park, The revenant, An american werewolf in London are some that I think have outstanding picture. And especially on an oled tv. What movies do you want to buy first? 🎬🤩

Hey man, how's that X700 been doing? I'm goin to purchase my first Player this month, i'm torn between x700 ou x800M2.
Hey mate! It’s working great, never had any issues with it. Only been playing a few movies on it such as Dracula, An American werewolf in London, Howling and they all looked great. Especially on my LG oled, the picture quality is insane. I can see a bit of a difference compared to streaming 4K hdr. I think the x700 should so great as a first player. I”m working on a review on my tv, and I planning on doing movie reviews as well so stay tuned for that. Best of wishes 🙏🏼

@@madmoicano Samsara isn’t available in 4K yet. The Blu-ray is great though.
@@donsimpsonshead8809 actually it's available on itunes in some countrys in 4k for some time. But never the bitrate of a disc dought. they'll release it soon in disc i think.
Man you trust your player with a cheap power strip? Try one with some noise audio reduction, and that can take about 2800-3200 joules?
It is working so far. Recommend it!
Your better of whit Panasonic dp-ub820. I have this Sony player and the Panasonic got 32 bit dac so mutch better sound
I heard that one should be great too but I'm happy with the one I got so far.

What I can see there’s no bigger difference from the X700 that I got. But check other reviews as well. I’m really happy with the one got still a year since I bought it! 😁
You don t have HDR on buddie - washed out pic means that you need to turn deep color on or your TV is simply not HDR capable tv
That tv had hdr. I now have an LG C1 65’ OLED and it’s awesome. Really big difference! 👌🏼
Its good, but only problem is , easy to scratch, olmost touch it and is scratch it
Never had that problem, and I handle it and all the discs with care :)

I've had 2 of these over 4 years and they both stopped working.

I don’t think this is a pice of junk. It works fine. And with the prices on a new ps5 at least here in Sweden, and the prices are increasing even more now with all the inflation, it’s not worth it for me at least. And there is not so many exclusive games out yet, so I think I will wait a bit longer maybe buy when Hogwarts Leagcy comes out..

I bought a sony UBP-X700 Blu-ray 4K player in Nov. 2022. It lasted less than a month before it quit producing sound. It would kick you off the apps because the file was to big. Sony replaced it with another unit. Less than two weeks it started doing like the one i bought. So sony replaced the second unit with another one. The third one did not even last two hrs before it started doing the same. When i contacted sony over the third unit. The CSR at sony referred the problem to their engineers. Who told the CSR to contact me and have me turn off the quick start up. Which was never turned on. So it came down to be a problem with the units memory capability. The engineers at sony said that sony should buy back the unit. So after all the time wasted and over seven months of aggravation sony is refunding my money. I will never buy another sony product. Or even except a sony product as a gift. This is after being a long time consumer of sony products since sony came out with the sony Trinitron picture tube for their T.V's. Sony quality has went down the toilet over the last 25 yrs.
Sorry to hear that. Never heard of such a bad experience from Sony. My player works perfect and my ps4 for example. Hope you find another 4k blu ray player or a ps5 maybe. All the best! I will update on this player and the movies I bought over the year. I can add subtitles if I do it in Swedish.
My Sony tv, and 4k player had so many issues. Turn out it the TV.
