Once i did a chic fila and the customer changed the address so i called doordash support and they canceled it and i kept the food and gave it to my daughter. They told me to throw away why waste it.
I was up in Altomonte Fl and 3 times got a Autozone delivery order and 3 times i would push to accept and it canceled out on me, the last 2 days have been rough from glitches, several orders i would accept and then the screen would go blank and show error
Spark used sort their shops to where perishables were last on the list. After a recent update, though, it’s just sorted from the front of the store to the back. Frozen items are all at the front. Sounds like the app got lazy 🤷♂️
You can skip the Perishables on the list by pressing can't find item. Then after your done shopping all the other items. Press edit before sliding review complete. Go to the perishable items on the list and click on them and scan the barcodes. Or......put the perishables in your insulated bag while you are shopping. You are allowed to do that according to the preview shopping list screen.
Me too although this New Yorker is currently in New Jersey but I give props to anyone delivering in the city, because parking would be a nightmare. Even when I lived in Manhattan and I only took my car out of the lot (eight blocks from my apartment building because it was a good deal relatively speaking) if I was driving the 45 minutes home to see my dad or 45 minutes in the other direction at the time (they’re back together for like over 25 years now) to see my mom and or grandma and grandpa and aunt and uncle, etc. Or if I was going every two weeks for an infusion to Bethesda, Maryland. Only time I took it out to drive within the city was when I gave my acting teacher a ride to the acting school a few times and picking her up at the studio for “all my children” where she was a coach for one of the actors on the show. But there are people that watch Chuck and other gigtubers from other countries never mind halfway across the country! It’s pretty cool. 😊 PS I realize it’s a large state so I don’t even know if you’re in the city. I’m just saying cause I used to think I DK how they deal with parking but with so many people in such a small area they (Dashers another delivery drivers there) must make bank. But then the legislation went through. And then they took away tipping at the point of ordering. And now I just imagine it must be an entire headache.

I also spent a couple of weeks there again when I was five because they thought I had leukemia so I was there until they figured out what was actually wrong. (Enzyme deficiency called Gaucher’s disease) My aunt was a nurse there then before she got married, and had her kids. When they got a little older, she went back to nursing as a school nurse. One of my shrinks growing up was in westchester. So I used to go there a lot. 😂 I don’t know why I’m having life story day. Sorry. But yeah, I could imagine 60 bucks would be a minimum to go into the city. I have a nervous stomach when I have bad anxiety like I would definitely be so nervous that whole trip until I saw if there is an easy place to leave my car with the blinkers on for a minute or two. Or by some miracle an actual free spot. But that’s the problem you feel like you’re rushing and you don’t wanna do that to the customer or at least make it obvious for the catering order. Give you props.
It would be great if occasionally the customers could be understanding, and maybe if it’s possible, somebody meet you outside with one of those carts on wheels.
I do Uber Eats. I never eat ppls food. I have thrown it away when Uber messes up and they tell me to dispose of it. Most of these places i would never eat at.

I learned that recently to look through the list before getting everything so I can choose how to navigate especially when getting ice cream- Also, that is a cool cap 🧢 camera 🎥 you got there - I want to start video recording my deliveries also but in first person mode that camera would be perfect - Thanks for sharing your experience 😊

Hey Chuck the same thing happened to me today with Uber I had to drive a few miles out of the way to confirm the pickup multiple drivers were assigned before me they had to remake the order because I believe someone took the order couldn’t confirm pickup and cancelled and kept the food.

That is an interesting problem on Uber… It is definitely how they operate so strange. I’ve never seen that but I did have a situation where an order was placed at a McDonald’s restaurant that had been torn down the year prior and the whole time I was driving there I like I knew thisbut I was thinking maybe I’m wrong and then of course I arrive at an empty lot and the people at customer service are arguing with me that that’s not possible and I had to send them a photo of an empty lot
I’ve had this happen multiple times, where it says pick up at this location. It’s a McDonald’s, they never have the order in their system, and when you have them make it manually it says this address message. I thought it was a Uber glitch, called support and they told me to cancel it. Got a 1% cancellation rate because of it and no pay! I even returned the food, would have been better to give to the homeless. F*ck McDonalds I don’t eat that shit. $0 for being honest, 1% cancellation rate!
Had an order today and the customer didn't provide the gate code and for her apartment, she only left the building number. Did she answer any texts? No. Did she answer the phone? No. I called support and they told me to leave it outside the gate and continue normally -- taking a photo. Then, I told support the customer has a pin. So, support called. No answer. She said to leave it by the gate even though it was raining very hard. How do you order groceries from a phone and not answer it?
@@B_Bodziak - Really could be any # of things. Maybe stuck in the r.r. w/o their phone, taking care of a sick child, dealing with a fussy baby, etc... Hope you still got paid.
