Quick addition: If you double tap the exposure reticule it gets larger for a more run and gun style of filming where you don’t need locked exposure.

Honestly, I have viewed many tutorials on filmic pro exposure, but none as good as this one. Well done. 👌🏽👏🏽

@@SmartphoneFilmmaker Very Welcome, and thanks, my friend!
Quick question? First off I really learn a lot from your videos and I want to thank you. My questions is, if I'm filming using Filmic pro but sometimes I film using the Iphone's normal camera, does that create a problem when editing because I'm using two different formats in the video editing software?
Hey! Thanks so much for being a fan of the channel. It shouldn't do no. However frames rate if different may show visible differences such as motion blur. I have often in DaVinci Resolve edited from screen captures and Filmic Pro footage and it's been fine.
Thanks for answering my question. I appreciate it.
Brilliant. which smartphone are you using in this video? the interface ui looks different than the iPhone interface ui
Thanks so much! I am using the iphone 12.
I have just carried out a few experiments and I don’t know if filmic has become buggy since they have made a subscription app, probably just my imagination. But I have to say on occasions it’s definitely not doing what it’s saying it is doing if that makes sense. Anyways I digress I was just wondering if you might be able to help me as in when I put a soft box in front of me everything looks blown out when I set the shutter speed at twice the frame rate the ISO on its lowest setting is still too bright? Which makes me think how do you some of these people in studios have incredibly bright lights shining on the subject and avoid this problem ? As I have been thinking of upgrading my lighting system as I just use very cheap soft boxes from Amazon but I am really struggling with this problem it seems when I lock in the shutter speed limits my ISO even on the lowest setting it is too bright and it is only when I move the lights a distance away and off the subject that I get something reasonable what am I doing wrong ? I should also mention that I am shooting indoors in my studio
It sounds like for outdoor shooting you need to buy some ND filters (I have a video explaining what they are and how they work). Indoors if all your settings are right then it can only be that you need a dimmable light.
The video won’t go beyond halfway. No matter how often I try. Very weird. Is it the video (technically) or RUclips app that’s crappy?
That very weird. Tried it myself and still works. Try watching it on a different device maybe?
