hey i had a quick question! so i’m applying to duke and it’s usually recommended in your supplemental you write about something niche and specific to the school. i wanted to write about how during orientation incoming freshmen are given blue devil horns, i either read it somewhere or watched it on a yt video, but i can’t seem to find it. i don’t want to write about it if it isn’t true though, so could you please confirm or deny. thank you!!

What do you mean by weed out class” ? Please explain
it's basically a class that is made intentionally challenging to separate the determined/strong pre-meds from others. People usually leave the pre-med path when they take organic chemistry because it is one of the hardest prerequisites
