All of your install videos are so great. Seriously. Some people make install videos and simply pass over vital and specific sections, not showing important steps or highlighting certain things. Bravo 👏🏼
Does anyone make a wiring harness built specifically for the 4Runner so you don't have 2 extra feet of cable or be forced to splice into existing wires?
Two quick questions: If the backlight on the OEM switch is always on, how can we tell if the ditch lights are on when we press the button? Also, was the green wire you used for the backlight from the 360 camera connector?
I just bought this switch and waiting for it in the mail. Could you configure the switch to light up when either of the buttons are pressed only? I’d rather not have the switch turn on with my parking lights but only when the buttons are pressed. Thanks
It is a 16-22g 1/4" ring terminal. www.amazon.com/Shrink-Connectors-Terminals-Automotive-Marine/dp/B09VPYRF8K/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1214L30Z460MR&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.5oQCd9GeNZQN-2Fdo4tmBKADbrwtHzDFA7VVNDuP4IvRFUKg8kzxRW9Pg7eTvUKMUq4gK1KI8KGrxMvSrYF-cwygjdX8SPRjNP3vrB5zD_bkziDulWfU7JSXFIgWmERe1ceHb6yCmZLxs3HsZxFFVpgIuP4ZaB6A4gSlY6JyzUF2uL-hpPkq1kBgZwSFy6apu--xFbKAsNEjzu6_Dcvt8kI1EQzWULVVUOHgTubjydk.HX5QYvxftjHQYk7Z0sosk-NTve8bN3bHoq-vx6VIynA&dib_tag=se&keywords=16-22%2Bm6%2Bring%2Bterminal&qid=1736859638&sprefix=16-22%2Bm6%2Bring%2Bterminal%2Caps%2C65&sr=8-3&th=1
That is disappointing to hear as I like the low profile of the ssc2 as a ditch light. Did you get the Pro or Sport? I have ss3 pro amber SAE fogs that I have to get a Tacoma kit for since I bought them for my Subaru Outback. If the ssc2’s aren’t bright enough I guess I’ll just use my KC Flex Era 3’s. I got them in clear and just got amber covers so I can run them either way depending on dust/rain/snow.
@@J.Young808 I have both the ss2 and ss3 pros. I installed the ss2s on my rear bumper to use as chase lights/reverse lights and the ss3s as ditch lights. The ss2 ditch lights just weren’t cutting it for me bc I typically camp just outside of a major city and we get a lot of light pollution. If you camp in total darkness, the 2s might be fine.
Aux kit will be back in stock soon. We have them in the building just need to do some stuff before we add them to inventory. On the light you have 3 wires. Black (ground), red (main light), Blue (backlight). Run the blue wires to one switch to control the backlighting and run the red to another to control the main function.

That's our goal! Thanks!

@edgroth Blaze off-road makes custom wiring harnesses for the 4Runners.
At 10:08, which T wire tap was used? The 24-20, or the 16-20? Thanks
I believe that was the 20-24
Hey how do you wire in the ditch lights to your switch panel and make the back lighting work?

Can you tell me what size ground connector was used? Thanks!

Are you still able to open the hood with the SS5?
Does the switch that was installed come with the kit? Or sold separately? I didn’t see it listed here in the comments. Thanks.
It is sold separately. yotaxpedition.com/collections/5th-gen-4runner-lighting-switches
Great video as always. Hoping to see an install video on those fang lights soon
Soon!
Y’all need to do direct links in the description to these products.
Just switched out the ss2 for 3s. The 2s are good chase lights but not bright enough to use as ditch lights imo.
I have SSC2's for my personal 4runner that I didn't put on yet but I'm kinda wishing I got some SS3's

Good video! I would love to see a video on installing 2 or 4 9-LED models done stealth behind the grill on a 5th Gen.
Does the brackets rub on the plastic cowling and require any trimming?
No rubbing
You guys absolutely need to review nacho’s lights next!
These can be brought into aux kit or no? (It’ll be back in stock someday) And if so how do you control back lighting on single button?
