Your Bettas are beautiful! I love dart, but I do have some concerns with the fish you keep in his tank Tetras are schooling fish and need 8-15 of their kind. Have this amount reduces stress for them, and allows them to live their full life of 10-15 years. Tetras also like a lot of space, because they are pretty active when in schools The Otocinclus that you have can get stressed/lonely without others of their own kind, despite not being schooling fish Last but not least your panda Cory. These guys tend to need 8-10 of them in order to be happy, and stress free I also think your tank is a teeny bit overstocked, but I’m not exactly too sure. Please don’t take this the wrong way or anything. This is just my thoughts :)
not with cardinal tetras, they look so alike compared to neons or rainbows, but they are so different. they need a minimum of 10 gallons, with at least 3 of them together:)

Kiley well at least yours almost passed away mine passed away because my “friend” over fed him when I was gone so he got constpated bladder infection and fin rot and died not leavening hate but I’m getting a new one yay!
Bell Iron Fist What do you mean by 2.5 being the maximum? There’s a maximum??? So how do they flourish in the wild? And I’m not sure how 2.5 is “perfect” when it leaves very little room for real plants and fun things for them to swim through.

Love your set ups. For Betta's, they live well. Your swim bladder fish would benefit from a clove of garlic raw directly in his water. You can place it in the filter to hide it, but raw garlic is a natural healer for fish. It cures most of the common fish ailments and is completely safe.
One of my bettas only ate bloodworms as well! I wanted to diversify, so I got some freeze-dried shrimp. Maybe he'll eat some other frozen, like brine shrimp. May get some more balanced nutrients that way. Beautiful bettas!
Bettas are so hardy and getting them outta those cups at pet stores and putting them in decent homes is great. I have 4 all at least 3 yrs of age and are happy as can be. Thanks for giving so many good homes and I hope you keep adding more ✌

Except that by buying from abusive pet stores you are increasing the demand for them and reinforcing the vicious cycle, because first of all you're giving money to animal abusers, and second all you're doing is creating a niche for another betta to suffer in place of the one you bought. Demand creates supply.
+Jake Holtz I'm being realistic. Buying from abusive stores only reinforces the problem, if you look at the big picture. It may make you feel good about yourself, but it's not actually doing anything to solve the situation.
Morganna its not about feeling good about myself its about giving the bettas a good home. Theres unlimited scenarios where buy and demand are involved but unlike you i think positively about the situation instead of sitting and being negative. You need more positive people in your life ✌

I am absolutely in love with all your tanks and fish!!!!! I have three Berta’s at the moment and just got two today! I was walking into petsense where I live and saw one in dirty water. Couldn’t even see him. It was a male crown tail and he flared at me immediately and I knew then that I was taking him home 😂 such a feisty little man. I named him khal, rolling with game of thrones themes. And went and bought him a new five gal because I only had one tank at home and then one little pink female cane straight to me and just looked so stinking cute and happy so now I have two more babies to love and spoil!! I’m going to set up the new tanks tomorrow and I’m so excited. You’re an amazing betta mom!!!! Keep it up! I know they appreciate you!!!❤️❤️

If you are trying to get rid of swim bladder try giving them peas. There are other videos on RUclips that will show you how to prepare them for your fish.
The fact that they’re not flaring at the mirror is a sign of stress. Not to be rude, but you need a bigger tank for them. Edit: I have my older betta in a 7 gallon and my younger betta in a 10 gallon.

Yesterday I got a betta (crowntail male) from petco. I have two questions about my betta (and don’t worry I did my research! I just want to give him a happier life!). Firstly, I want to know how to get rid of “drooping fins”. His fins are slightly drooping but it’s more prominent in the dorsal fin. It almost makes him look like he’s a veiltale. I want to know even though it’s early on. Secondly, I want to know how to “play” with my betta without putting too much stress on him. I heard I can put a ping pong ball in there but I want to get some advice from more people. If you have any ideas, please reply! I will update on him in the future if anything happens!
I have a premium butterfly Betta he is so cute I adore him. And he has blue eyes so I named him Blue eyes. Lol. He is so pretty. He has white fins and a white and really really light yellow and pink body. And outlining his body is a crimson color that is very deep. Then outlining the crimson is very vibrant turquoise. He cost $25 but he is the sweetest little boy. I even put my bady African Dwarf frog in with him and he didn't even flare!
Dart is SO handsome!!! But I think that tank is overstocked, neons need a 10 gallon and the snail and algae eater aren't suitable for a tank that small. Just so you know this isn't hate, just information.😃

Hello AnnaLouise! Your betta tanks are interesting and your fish are beautiful! The only negative thing I could say, and don't like doing so, is that some of the items in your tanks look rather rough-textured. It's been said that when decorating your betta tank, try to use only objects with a smoothe surface and if using artificial plants, to select silk plants, all to help protect your betta's fancy fins. Everything I purchase for my tank, I feel the surface, and if it's rough, won't select that particular item. You seem to care very much about your fish which is great. I do think some of your fish have fin rot but that could be where the fins got torn by the plastic plants. Fake plants are fine but I do think they need to be silk so there is no damage to the fish. Blood worms should only be a treat. My babies get them twice a week. The reason blood worms should be a treat is they are very high in protein which can cause many problem. If your fish isn’t eating pellets I suggest trying flakes. Some bettas are picky for example my betta Mr. Limpet refuses to touch pellets but goes absolutely crazy over flakes while my other betta Nino tries to eat the flakes but just spits them out but he goes nuts over pellets. I spread them around his tank and he zips around. Also I suggest bigger tanks. 5 gallons is the max I would ever keep my bettas in. Think of it this way. The cups you buy them in is the same as a person living in a bathtub. The tiny tanks is the same as someone living in a bathroom. A bigger tank, for example, 10 gallons is them getting a whole house. Which would you prefer?

I dunno if this maybe is why your first Betta acted weirdly, but maybe the water flow in your 10 gallon was too harsh and that's why he didn't really like it? Just a suggestion! I love all your Betta fishes! They're beautiful. Especially the koi/crowntail, I can see why you fell in love with him!

Hi girl. Great video, and beautiful fish but I just have some tips. Your male bettas shouldn’t have other fish as tank mates, it’s dangerous for them as tail nipping is a thing. Also, you need to add more hiding spots and plants for your swim bladder one. Your fish shouldn’t be JUST eating blood worms, those should only be used as treats. Also, all your fish need heaters
Girl don't listen to hateful comments! Your tanks are beautiful ❤❤❤ I have a betta that was in a 10 gallon and never moved really. I put him in a 5 gallon and he's all over the place now. Some bettas just do not like wide open tanks.

ItsAnnaLouise I'm the same way ❤❤❤ I work at PetSmart so I'm so happy I can take care of the bettas at work too. I know they're in cups but I bought Indian almond leaf for them if they get sick and they heal so quickly and do water changes as much as I can during the week. Is the divided tank a top fin by chance? I have a 5 gal top fin and I am having trouble with Bandit going from side to side. For some reason I cannot get the divider to be well, truly divided. There is a gap at the top. Any advice would be appreciated.

nah 2.5 is the bare minimum, its a 5 split

THIS IS NOT HATE BUT, if you really love your bettas you would not split 5g, or and size. It stresses them out sooo much
It doesn’t... the maximum size of a tank for a Betta is a 2.5 gallon, so it’s prefect size. I don’t see how it would stress them out

The reason your betta is acting weird in the big tank is because he is stressed without enough hiding spots. Add mlre plants and hides!

I dunno if this maybe is why your first Betta acted weirdly, but maybe the water flow in your 10 gallon was too harsh and that's why he didn't really like it? Just a suggestion! I love all your Betta fishes! They're beautiful. Especially the koi/crowntail, I can see why you fell in love with him!

Toast is a rosetail for sure. Halfmoon generally have a nice clean crisp edge on their fins.

Hi girl. Great video, and beautiful fish but I just have some tips. Your male bettas shouldn’t have other fish as tank mates, it’s dangerous for them as tail nipping is a thing. Also, you need to add more hiding spots and plants for your swim bladder one. Your fish shouldn’t be JUST eating blood worms, those should only be used as treats. Also, all your fish need heaters
Girl don't listen to hateful comments! Your tanks are beautiful ❤❤❤ I have a betta that was in a 10 gallon and never moved really. I put him in a 5 gallon and he's all over the place now. Some bettas just do not like wide open tanks.

ItsAnnaLouise I'm the same way ❤❤❤ I work at PetSmart so I'm so happy I can take care of the bettas at work too. I know they're in cups but I bought Indian almond leaf for them if they get sick and they heal so quickly and do water changes as much as I can during the week. It warms my heart to take care of all the animals. Have a great night ❤❤❤

Is the divided tank a top fin by chance? I have a 5 gal top fin and I am having trouble with Bandit going from side to side. For some reason I cannot get the divider to be well, truly divided. There is a gap at the top. Any advice would be appreciated.
