La canzone originale mi faceva immaginare questo cavaliere che si sedeva sul prato guardando i fili d'erba riflettendo sul suo passato, sulla sua vita. Nel frattempo sentiva i passi di un altro cavaliere sempre più vicino, sentiva i piedi calpestare quel prato bellissimo. Sentiva la morte avvicinarsi sempre di più. Mentre attendeva la morte, il cavaliere era lì, seduto da solo, in mezzo alla natura, in pace. La battaglia tra gli altri cavalieri era lontana, quasi non sentiva più quel rumore delle spade che creavano quasi una sinfonia, una musica. Il cavaliere era scappato dalla battaglia, ma appena si è seduto sul prato si è accorto che un cavaliere nemico l'aveva visto e si stava avvicinando.
Il cavaliere nemico, stanco della corsa con l'armatura pesante addosso, non riusciva a dare una morte onorevole al soldato seduto sul prato, quindi non lo decapita. Il soldato stanco si distende per terra vicino al soldato seduto che ora anche lui è atterra aspettando quella morte lenta. Insieme aspettano mentre guardato quella lama insanguinata.
Il cavaliere con la spada si è pentito e soffre per aver ferito l'altro. Ma il soldato ferito lo perdona. Ora sono amici, insieme nel prato infinito. Insieme pensano come potevano fare amicizia e stare insieme per sempre felici, ma la battaglia li ha separati per sempre.
Sentono l'odore del sangue mentre sentono l'aria fresca. Guardano le nuvole lontane.
Sono nelle prealpi del nord Italia, alpi Giulie.
Il soldato ferito viene avvolto da quell'aria fresca che diventa un freddo gelido. Il soldato ferito è morto in pace, ora riposa in pace in quel prato infinito tra le bellissime montagne con l'aria fresca e le nuvole lontane nel cielo azzurro brillante.
Ora è il soldato con la spada ad essere solo. Quasi si dimentica di avere un cadavere vicino, ormai è diventato tutt'uno con il prato. L'erba alta lo nasconde, come nasconde la spada insanguinata e il soldato con la spada.
Le lame dei cavalieri in battaglia non si sentono più, forse la battaglia è finite da molte ore. Era iniziata di mattina presto, ora era quasi sera. Il sole era ancora blu ma tra poco cominciava ad essere rosso per il tramonto.
Il soldato lascia la spada atterra, vicino al cadavere.
Si alza in piedi, si gira verso il sole brillante e rimane fermo per minuti, forse un'ora.
Comincia a camminare quando ormai è cominciato il tramonto. Fa pochi passi e sviene. Incosciente, rotola giù per la montagna perché l'armatura è pesante. Si risveglia la mattina dopo. Forse si è rotto un braccio cadendo. Si guarda il corpo e dall'armatura esce sangue.
Finalmente si toglie l'armatura.
Ha il corpo pieno di lividi e non riesce a muovere un braccio perché è rotto. Ha una gamba che zoppica. Cadendo, l'armatura l'ha ferito al torace e gli ha fatto perdere molto sangue.
È debole, ha un braccio rotto e soppica.
Prova a camminare ma è troppo debole. Non sa dove si trova e gli altri cavalieri l'hanno dato per morto o disperso tra le montagne infinite.
È primavera, quindi non fa molto freddo ma il cavaliere è debole ed sente ancora più freddo.
Fa qualche passo ma cade atterra.
Non riesce a rialzarsi, non ha più la forza.
Il viso diventa pallido, le labbra viola. Il taglio sul torace probabilmente l'ha ferito ad un polmone, fa fatica a respirare.
Non respira più.
Vede una luce nel cielo, è il sole, ma è molto più luminoso. È la luce più luminosa e calda che abbia mai visto o sentito.
Quella luce lo avvolge.
Ora si trova come all'interno di una sfera di luce ed è in piedi, non ha più alcuna ferita e nessun dolore. Si sente felice, coccolato da quella luce calda.
Ora vede il suo stesso corpo dall'alto. Vicino, sul fianco della collina vede l'altro cavaliere ma è nudo, pulito e senza ferite.
Ora è tutto nero.

Spero vi sia piaciuta la storia che la canzone originale mi ha fatto venire in mente.
In realtà l'originale mi ha fatto immaginare solo la prima parte, dove il cavaliere sente i passi di un altro cavaliere che lo sta raggiungendo. Questo remix mi ha fatto immaginare come continua la storia.
Posso dire che mi è piaciuto questo sogno. Mi ha fatto sentire malinconia, tristezza, serenità, come la canzone.

When the dark finally faded, the hero sat on a hill waiting for the sense of triumph to hit them. Through his armor, the wind whistled tunes of nature while whispering of dark fates to come. They held a small flower in their hand and let its pollen dance along the breeze. They finally realized that the job wasn't done and they would lose many more friendly faces. Armor would be slashed and battered as hope would drain from their wounds. Each battle being longer then the last. It all seemed hopeless.
But maybe if they laid on this hill a little longer, maybe they would feel alright.
