I really like the way you listen to your clients. I have seen in the hair industry where it seems as though if its not cut short they as the stylist are not complete. Not everyone wants a blunt cut. I used to live in Orlando and you stand out amongst the talented. Keep up the awesome work.

Watching you be so kind and patient with this New Pro was heartwarming.
We all know the feeling of asking a hairdresser a question and feeling as though you have invaded the code of silence.
I've never had the opportunity to question my hair stylist the way I question my doctor.

Wow, you got That relaxer in so fast! My hair is course, but I use a regular or mild relaxer at home & it takes me about 20 to 25 minutes to apply & smooth. Also, I apply to my edges & nape last, because of the shorter processing time needed. It's crazy that you were already rinsing out the relaxer at 10 minutes! I guess that's why you're the Pro!

You educated her. She listened and learned. She mentioned that she wanted to texturize her hair. I hope that previous stylists didn't attempt to reduce her relaxer time to achieve this goal. The time line on her strands shows this. Looking forward to seeing the corrective/restorative relaxer post.
    Thanks for sharing.😀

Great information as always. I totally agree when you say you can have unhealthy natural hair. You can see the true signs of damage when you silk press natural hair. Lastly her hair looks like she is self relaxing her hair at home. I totally agree that you need to see a professional when it comes to chemical services.

I like her comment about asking questions to your stylist and they make you feel like you’re a bother to them or it’s some kind of secret. It’s very hard to find a good stylist these days. All they want to do is make quick money with sew-ins and weaves in general.

Hey Crystal, happy Friday! I missed the live BUT...I watched the video in its entirety and as always, it was educational. I loved that your client came in with questions. You're the perfect person to get answers from because as she stated, some stylists don't want to be bothered. Its sad that we're supposed to learn to take care of our heads with their help. I loved how you didn't embarrass your client and harp on the mistakes she made, you turned them into a teaching moment. Seems to me, if she was going to a stylist someone should have caught those ends!!! You did a great job and I thank you for helping me to understand Black hair better. Btw, I loved her personality and how engaging she was. As always, great job on the hair!

That's the way I like my hair to look, it's not pin straight it has some texture. Too much flatiron makes it too straight. Because she has a relaxer, humidity won't cause the hair to revert so you don't need that much flat ironing. Beautiful job.

I liked the way you set it for her to preserve her curls. Never seen that technique before. I think the bonnet would be better and it will hold it because the hair is pinned. I thing that scarf will flatten it and remove the body nor do I think I scarf is good for her hairline.
